I've struggled with depression and anxiety for the last 5ever so I didn't take care of myself properly besides showering and washing myself, anything more than the basics was a struggle tbh.

I slowly started getting into /r/asianbeauty because the multiple steps were a way to treat myself nicely and relax after all the mental torture I put myself through on a daily basis. I kind of zone out while I'm rubbing different layers into my face and then wake up the next morning feeling good about my skin looking flawless so the day at least starts on a good note.

A lot of skin related stuff is trial and error though too, depending on your skin type. So don't get discouraged if you start this and have crazy skin reactions. I went through two years of hell because my skin is dumber than a box of rocks and doesn't understand that I was just TRYING to help it. Also tbf I went crazy and went from using nothing to 12 different things on my face. But still. >_>

Sheet masks are fun and easy. They're really cheap, and the effects last like a day. Peel the paper off and slap it on your face. Pro tip, if it's hot where you live put them in the fridge for a few minutes and it feels lovely. Alternatively if it's cold, sit on one for a few minutes and it warms up.

Bath salts are as well if you have a bath tub. Those are my favorite. The smell with those are weird ftr. It smells very much like an old woman in the tin, however once it's in the water it smells very herbal and clean. They also last forever, you just use the lid to measure. I have a bath once or twice a week on especially hard days and they're so relaxing. That brand in general has nice salts if the smell puts you off. (If you're sensitive to smells, I do not recommend the milk protein one. It smells like vomit to me and it's over powering.)

I obvs don't know your story, but I think in general it's hard to get into things even if you don't have mental roadblocks. But once you start, it's totally worth it because it makes you feel good about yourself and it's something to look forward to at the end of the day.

I got these a while ago, but I really like the white ones best. I'm going to try this one once I make it through my current jar of lavender bath salts.
