Salicylic acid would be an ideal treatment for you, because it's the only ingredient that's able to go inside the pore and absorb/clean oil.

I think salicylic acid facial cleansers are great acne treatments, research has shown they're effective, and they can be less drying than leaving on salicylic acid. Zapzyt Acne Wash is the gentlest SA cleanser I've come across.

Another acne treatment option would be using a non-medicated gentle cleanser, stridex in the red box, and then a moisturizer.

It's also really common to purge when starting SA! Expect improvement in 1-3 months.

Salycilic is usually better for oily skin and from what I'm hearing, better tolerated than Glycolic Acid. AHA's are usually touted as better for PIH (ensure you use a good strong SPF too)

Salycilic can also be effective in wash form.

Hi there!

I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link, which we don't allow in the sub.

Could you please edit the URL so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link. Here's the referral-free URL for an easy copy & paste:
