Some of these are probably the same ones you found (don't know for sure since you didn't include links to the ones you already saw), but I found several that would be cool to encourage a kid to read.

There's this one that says "I Love Books"

Then this one that says the same thing but it's a different design

This one that's just a book that says "Reading" on it

Another form of "I Love Books"

A patch that has the ABC's on a book

Yet another form of "I Love Books", but this one has a really cute bookworm on it

A cute bee that is encouraging kids to "Be A Reader"

A funny one that encourages kids to stay up past their bedtime to read books

One that just has a picture and the word bookworm

One that's literally just books and an apple

Yet ANOTHER form of I Love Books they seriously seem to be everywhere

This one asks people to "Tell Me A Story"

This one is for a kid who Loves Story Time

This one says that the kid would Rather Be Reading

And, finally, a couple of the Seven Dwarves reading what is apparently a book of fairy tales.

I can probably find more suggestions, but these are the ones I already had bookmarked (I give them out to kids at church to encourage them to read more). If you need me to find others, just let me know!

Edit: forgot to mention that you can attach them to a backpack, belt bag, maybe a canvas bag, or his favourite jacket or pants or something. You can also ask him where he wants to put it. Kids are really good about choosing where they want to display something, and I can guarantee that he'll choose something he's proud to show it off on.

AFAIK yes, but the danger is that they can rip and leave little pieces in your extract if you don't notice.

I use FEP for storage. It's not safe for pressing but you can't tear it at all. They are clear like glass and reusable if you wipe them down with alcohol. They don't fold well, that's the only caveat I can think of. Here is some info from Terp Proof on FEP. They are much smarter than me and are pretty responsive via their chat function if you have questions.
I think they only sell by x1000 though so I ended up buying mine on Amazon through a company called The Press Club. Very good quality, I recommend.

u/icraig91 · 1 pointr/rosin

Hrm. I use Reynolds parchment for mine and have no issues, but the rosin I have right now is either relatively stable, or very, very stable so sticking isn't an issue. The relatively stable stuff I've seen be difficult on the clear plastic-type papers like these : https://www.amazon.com/Storage-Food-Grade-Transparent-Terpene-Resistant/dp/B0799GGQDC. The Reynolds parchment has been way better.

u/the_acid_queen · 5 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Oh girl, I feel you! Anything that pills (wool, some synthetic fabrics) is out, as is anything that gets staticky. Personally, I tend to go for variations in the key of cotton: high-quality denim (I love Madewell's black skinny jeans for this) or cotton twill e.g. chinos tend to hold up the best.

You can also add some preemptive patches to the insides of your pants where your thighs touch, to help prevent holes from forming in the first place!

Been at it about 15 years ranging from high school and college football, powerlifting, "cardio boxing" but now just trying to be my strongest and look my best, perhaps compete again if I find the right work/life balance.

  1. GoRuck Bullet, 15L, Black w/ Predator Patch:

    https://www.goruck.com/bullet-ruck/

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073SF9S8Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Recently purchased this as a gym bag and a carry-on day pack when I travel which I suspect will fit both needs for life.

  2. Rogue Gym Chalk (Ziplock container):

    https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-gym-chalk

Bought a single box of eight a few years ago and I'm either collectively on only the first or second block. I left one at the gym and it was probably thrown out (not allowed) and have since sold the rest. It would have lasted me a lifetime deadlifting 1-2 times a week and really only need one application to last a few heavy sets. Chalk is pretty generic, I bought from Rogue because it was cheap and easy, I'm sure it can be found elsewhere.

  3. Inzer Forever Buckle, Double Prong, 10mm, Black:

    https://inzernet.com/collections/power-belts/products/forever-buckle-belt™-10mm

My second belt from Inzer of the same style but smaller waist size. Would have opted for the Forever Lever but as I drop or gain weight I wanted the flexibility and avoid readjustment. I haven't tried other brands but Inzer hasn't given me a reason to.

  4. iPhone 6 & 6S in OtterBox Commuter w/ Cubi Credit Card Holder:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N1X5IBO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qoJwDbNE435GG

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZVL7N4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_FJOV8MXOIivm9

I dual wield my work and personal phone at the gym, one streaming YouTube/Pandora, the other for my workout (5/3/1) reference. The card holders' adhesive is still good but one does not retain cards well anymore since I've stuffed it with as much as 5 cards plus cash. OtterBox are showing their wear (cracked) but no broken phones to date and personally would have to get worse before I decide to send in for replacement.

  5. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless:

    https://en-us.sennheiser.com/truewireless-details

The reviews online are true, these things have been a pain in the ass sometimes. I put up with the Senns for the better sound quality, noise isolation, and "different" factor over AirPods; mine had the mic recently fail after two years but were more reliable otherwise. Issues include battery drain/dying in charging case (known issue), intermittent connectivity and/or start-up issues (fixed via reset), and silicone inserts needing adjustment sometimes to isolate noise (haven't tried Comply TrueGrips yet). Also, the outer case could have better perceived quality (lid feels loose) but has held up well so far.

  6. Under Armour Sandals:
Not much to say here, sauna/shower wear. My only criteria is black and solid velcro or no velcro at all as I had on an old Nike pair.

Not shown: Gym/basketball shoes, I deadlift/squat in socks so I really just need something to walk around in otherwise.

Looking to add: My own set of barbell collars, my gym they're either worn out or in use.

I believe this would be an adorable first badge for your son <3

If he continues his journey into reading, I feel like this would be a great patch after he reads 10 or maybe 25 books!

Amazon is pretty saturated and you can replace "www" with "smile" and pick a pro gun charity for Amazon to donate to:

The sash on the dress is already super pretty. If you want some added bling, could you (or a seamstress) add this to your existing sash?

u/syllabic_excess · 3 pointsr/SeattleWA

The crews themselves often used the Roman numerals, as you can see in their patch designs.

During the search for which I came across this story of how the Apollo 11 patch came together, which is also told firsthand in Collin's book "Carrying The Fire." Great read for anyone interested in the mission or astronaut life and training in general during that era.

u/Sanklo · 3 pointsr/EDC

Okay, just received confirmation from my wife that she got it on Etsy a while back. It also appears to be available through Amazon.

I'm thinking of Oprah here.

YOU GET A HAT! YOU GET A HAT! YOU GET A HAT! YOU GET A HAT!

In the spirit of Jayne, you should add one of these items to your wish list:

Serenity Keychain

Firefly car or computer decal

Serenity patch collection

I want Jessica to make me a hat! For my baby boy, coming this winter from my belly. =)!

u/dark_shadow25 · 2 pointsr/Gunpla

No problem! Good luck. Just a head's up, you should (but don't have to) buy a decal setter at least so that you don't get silvering and they adhere good. Either Microset or Mark Setter. Shop around and you might find them cheaper at a local hobby store. Oh alright I see, mine is too or else I would get the waterslides. I didn't think about it either until another member suggested it to me a while ago.

Avenger Shield Patches! I guess that's Amusing because it's a comicbook thing.

Thanks!

u/bad_fake_name · -2 pointsr/Dogtraining

Eh, whatever. You people want to live like you're in a vacuum, go ahead. Other people exist, and (not really shockingly) not a lot of them know or care about "work dog" procedure.

It's not like they make - products - exactly - for - this - scenario.

u/Brikachu · 2 pointsr/service_dogs

Ah, okay. Glad to hear you're using a trainer! :)

Okay, I can definitely see why it would be hard to ask that of you. Unfortunately, (most) people are curious and are also ignorant about service dogs. If you live in an area that's familiar with them, it's a little bit more lax. But if not, people will come up and ask to pet and will ask you things. For someone with social anxiety, this is pretty much the only "downside" of having a service dog (I use the term "downside" very very loosely because there are so many more benefits).

Because she's a puppy (and more specifically because she still looks very puppy-ish), people will oodle. However, this will become less severe as she loses her puppy face. One thing I've also noticed is that people will doubt your disability when you have a young dog (more so than they doubt invisible disabilities anyway) because they don't think the dog is "well-trained enough" (If only they knew how much work goes into training them, right?)

I would suggest training her in a not-so-crowded and not-so-overwhelming area for both your sake and hers, but I'm obviously not your trainer, so I would definitely ask him/her for a more precise answer :).

So tl;dr, people oodling over her will get better as she grows into an adult.

edit: Also, if you think you want a more.. "all-inclusive" patch, you could try this one:

Looks great, if you want to complete and accessorize, you could get the following; P90 Airsoft Rifle, SG1 Patch, a shave and haircut if you want to be military, or just a shave for Daniel Jackson, and you probably don't need the P90 ether if you do early Jackson.

u/MrPizza0409 · 1 pointr/Gunpla

Try using the Mr Mark Setters, it helps the decals sticking on the plastic, just put a few frop before you apply your waterslide decals :)

Thanks for the contest!!

Oh no! My links are a mess. I tried to fix it but I can't seem to. I apologize. EDIT AGAIN! I fixed it!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EQYYUG/ This was what i used. If you look at the reviews, you'll see my pictures of the towel i made. I do have to tie and tuck the floss. The backing comes off with washing but honestly i haven't applied a new backing since i made it. You can sew it on after ironing for extra reinforcement.

> the consistency of it makes it almost infuriating to work with. It gets sticky & waxy and its just impossible to make the nuggets or get it off the dab tool.

This won't change the consistency, but I've been transferring all of my shatter to these sheets. They've gone up a bit in price since I got them, you may be able to find something similar for cheaper, but I really like these vs. dealing with parchment paper or jars. It will still stick, but the sheets won't get raggedy over time like parchment does, and you won't be pulling up any material off the paper. The main reason I even found these, is because I went looking for an alternative to silicone or parchment due to all the warnings of those said materials leeching formaldehyde into the terps - see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dabs/comments/83s2g5/lets_have_a_discussion_about_silicone_wax_paper/

Also, some of the shatter I've gotten from Trulieve has had the more gooey terp saucy consistency, especially the indicas, so I don't think it is just a MuV thing, I think it has something to do with the source material?

u/funnythebunny · 3 pointsr/Harley

Welcome to the Broken Bone Club. Heal up, the road awaits you...

u/theblindtiger · 2 pointsr/MLPLounge

I got it here.

It's iron-on, so be wary if you intend to sew it. I didn't know, and I couldn't iron it onto that pack, so it took me a really good amount of elbow grease to get it on.

u/dinaaa · 2 pointsr/sewing

yes! you need to go out and buy some THIN fusible interfacing. i have this kind at home which irons on and then stays permanently.

based on the pattern, you will probably need enough for the whole collar, and for the fabric going down where the buttons are. that is based on my experience making a dress with buttons going down it.
