I like the chunkiness of the sole and the fact that the upper isn't as chunky, they're reminiscent of early 2000s skate shoes but sleeker, like some old Etnies or Es shoes, like this kind of vibe.

I am not a huge fan of the little dot holes on the side, but I like the way it laces. My only drawback is how thin the laces are in contrast with the thickness of the sole, it feels unbalanced to me. I think a thicker high quality lace is the way to go, or some cool paracord laces. Also for a more streetwear touch, details are key, like a lace with a dipped tip, some sort of unique detail that catches the eye (I've looked into dipping laces like this, you can get plastidip in jars from the hardware store or even amazon and color it and it seems to be pretty easy to diy). I know thicker laces might entail enlarging the "eyelet panel" slots for the laces, but I think it would be worthwhile to try.

Other than that, I think this shoe and it's silhouette have a lot of opportunity to be very subtle and sleek or eye catching with color blocking of panels etc.. These are really cool and clearly there is considerable attention to detail. Would love a pic of these on someone's feet styled with some cool socks and/or more pics of the shoe!

for my traditional dress shoes, any ones I thrift or ebay, I always put these Amazon CORDOHYDE laces in, they're rightly thin, super nice and wavy. They stay tied like no ones business.

There are probably also way better places to get laces as well, but I usually find that I like Allen Edmonds lace products a whole lot. AE laces better than you'd think they would be for a big company. I have them in a bunch of different shoes. Back when shipping was always free, i'd buy ONLY LACES orders frequently. sometimes just to go with one outfit later that week LOL.

You're welcome.

I'm still working on looseing weight, but medications and post DBS caused weight gains. Finally down from 300+ to 240 and feeling great! Exercise is really key to slowing progression, alas I have additional health issues, but keep on pushing forward.

Recently bought a large van so I can go camping and travel across North America. Nightfall, or fatigued, I can pull over and take a nap or wait for sunrise!

Keep the days flexible, If Mom has a hard time with knife and fork nothing wrong with asking for meat to be presliced. I can cut the 1" thick slices and enjoy my meals. Oh mashed patatoes helps things like peases stay on folks.

Haven't tried this yet, but my shoe laces always come undone. Might be worth looking for.

I do like how you guys want to help runners with safety, but the concept of having a light at a user's feet is troublesome. Any mound infront of the foot that's higher than a few inches will eclipse the light from traveling forward. It's also odd to see you don't have any comparison shots in your video of your device vs. others.

I would like to see more products that are like shoe blinkers/safety devices, however. There's this guy, but it seems to fall off. Offering a better light like this that's better secured would be great. Also, you could work on novelty lights, something like this, but say with color changing or better yet, sound activated ones for concert goers.

If you want an easier/more stylish out, it just so happens that Pink & Green aren't direct complimentary colors, Red & Green are, but because Pink is a shade of Red, you go a shade of green DOWN essentially, and you have the color Chartreuse. Chartreuse and Pink pop off of each other most naturally, and while I know the desire to have the authentic laces that came with a pair of Le Fleurs- There are no Chartreuse pairs, and you could easily buy a pair on eBay, you could even get thicker laces (Like the original Golf Wang flower shoes had before he paired with Converse, if you look at those the laces are MUCH thicker)

Just saying ^ _ ^

((plus, imo the laces that come with the shoe fit a bit... big. If you tie them regular the laces look pretty big, and if you wear the laces inside they get moved all around the place & eventually fall out, so you could buy a shorter pair this way too and make them look nicer.

SQ: A while ago I got an incredible deal on a bundle of CDBs that I couldn't just let go of. However, I never really liked the white laces two of them came with, but I'm also not good at knowing which laces would look good with what shoe so I have left them as is. It's been well over a year now and I'm ready for suggestions. I'm guessing these flat waxed ones commonly recommended would be suitable for these as well?

GD: As a bonus, I'll throw in my beard before & after for those that don't browse MFA.

There are a bunch of great youtube guides to the whole flying mount/dismount thing. Once you practice it on a couple rides it'll become habit. As far as the running shoes, my mom loves these. I've never used them, but I wear the On Cloudflow which cuts out the sock/lace issue completely. I do one or two short brick workouts a week to help practice quick transitions.

edit to say I feel like it's weird to suggest something based on my mom's opinion, but hopefully it'll be helpful.

This is my general recommendation for Romaleos:

Take the laces out, remove the insoles, put the shoes and insoles in a mesh bag and put that in the wash (normal detergent, low temperature, long duration, delicate/slow spin cycle, extra rinse if available). Add white vinegar to the wash if they're dirty (or in your case have permanent marker). Air dry when finished.

For areas that are still dirty—usually the toebox, stitching, and any tight areas, use a diluted all purpose cleaner, a rag, and a nylon brush (toothbrush would work as well). You can wait till they're dry or do this anytime after they're out of the wash. I use Meguiar's APC diluted 1:10, but I assume something like simple green would work just as well although I can't speak to their effectiveness and dilution ratio. I also like to use plastic/rubber/vinyl dressing (like CarPro Perl) but I don't expect anyone to have that on hand or to buy it.

That should take care of most issues but if you have any other weird shit stuck on your shoes I can always recommend other removers.

If you're laces are in bad shape (and they likely are) buy new laces. 39" laces are slightly shorter than standard but end up fitting nicer (in most cases), but feel free to size up.

Reassemble.

I'm a biological lady, and I can assure you - no one can walk in heels their first time. Practice! I like to vacuum in heels because there's a lot of backward and forward motion, and it helps you learn how to steady yourselves in those shoes. As far as the slipping goes, what I like to do is take a serrated kitchen knife and lightly scuff up the bottoms of the shoes to help it grip better. They also make products like this that basically do the same thing (without damaging your shoe!). Heels really do tie an outfit together as well as lengthen legs and create a feminine silhouette, and IMO are pretty essential. If you need a good transition, start with a high heeled boot or strap with ankle support. Just remember: think tall, take small steps, and walk heel-toe, heel-toe. You'll get it eventually, but it will take a lot of practice to get there!

Phew Super expensive. I personally have 3 pairs of shoes for each pedal type :P. I ride with flat pedals now and i bought a $22 Louis Garneu Nickle Casual cycling shoes which fits perfectly for me. It is Lace up but i have these installed instead of laces and it helps me get the shoes on /off easily. https://www.amazon.com/LACES-Elastic-Shoelaces-Brown-48-Inch/dp/B007DLVLCA/ref=asc_df_B007DLVLCA/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167126206764&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6865012802220144865&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030506&hvtargid=pla-500566797752&psc=1

Its much cheaper than the shoes you have mentioned.

PS. I am very cheap!

I'm in Canada, but I bought a set of round waxed laces from Daily Shoes on Amazon to replace my Tricker's laces when they got shredded. They have held up great and I highly recommend them.

Wear slip resistant shoes! It makes a huge difference, and it's safer. I go with the slip safe Sketchers, They're always on sale 30% to 50% off at my local store. I've been on the same pair for a year and they're super comfy. Replaced the laces with those lazy stretchy ones.

u/goldirocks · 5 pointsr/AprilBumpers2018

So for number 2 I have a solution for you, because it's only going to get worse. I got some Lock Laces (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007DLVLB6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) - They're elastic that you can replace your shoelaces with and they are amazing. My toddler can easily pull them tight for me and I don't have to bend over at all. At the end of my first pregnancy I ended up with some dansko clogs ( do not reccomend, ugh) that were a huge pain in the butt because of foot swelling.

Since this is my second time around she's up super, super high. Like where her sister was towards the very end of things. I thought it was a food baby trying to get under my ribs but nope, that's a baby butt. My ultrasound on friday confirmed that haha.

u/officesneakers · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

Great guide! Based on my experience the laces you linked on Amazon are too wide. I bought a pair of CP laces on Amazon that matched my originals perfectly here.

u/micahjoel_dot_info · 2 pointsr/aspergers

I know how to tie my shoes, but no matter what I try, I can’t get them to stay tied for any length of time. I finally decided I don’t care what other people think, and got these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010RJDALE/

Maybe a bit pricy, but you buy them once and keep using them forever. They work great. The only catch is the little things to put on the cut-off laces are terrible. I found some tiny spring-loaded connectors that work great.

u/ServerOfJustice · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I think flat waxed laces like the 1000 mile ones you linked are the way to go. I have these and really like them. They also come in an off-white color and the length you want.

u/Infj-dude · 10 pointsr/aww

Wow, we have the exact same pair of boot laces

u/jdbee · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I ordered some waxed laces for my Indys from an Amazon seller. Unfortunately, it looks like they don't have burgundy.

u/jt32470 · 1 pointr/RedWingShoes

kevlar laces similar to these

For the cleaning, conditioning you can use a kit like this one

u/UUBBBRR · 1 pointr/goodyearwelt

Yeah here they are.

I'm thinking about trying red laces in my Amber Harness Iron Rangers (not my image). What are your thoughts on these boot laces and these flat laces (in red)?

u/Citizen_V · 1 pointr/goodyearwelt

I've been using TZ's flat laces.
