Hey! I was totally in this situation 6 months ago. Figuring out technique is a sort of "figure it out as you go" situation and tons of videos on youtube can help you figure it out. What I can help you with is your purchases. Figuring out what you'll need is extremely overwhelming, so here's a dirty rundown of what I've gathered so far:

Again, you don't need EVERYTHING listed above, but for my personal complete look, I require everything I mentioned. Starting off, I blew about around 300 dollars, so save money when you can. When queens joke about how they spent a lot of money to look "this" cheap, they really aren't lying. ALSO, don't be discouraged if you don't have the coin. There are tons of other resources available out there and if possible, you can always slowly acquire items over time.

Good luck! ✨
Sooo the first thing that stood out to me was the Neutrogena toner and my only response to that is - stop that. I used to use it when I was younger and god it was horrible. It has a ton of alcohol, so it totally strips your face. If you have a "tight and dry" feeling, products with a lot of alcohol only make things worse and irritate your face.
If you want to use something to wipe down with after cleansing, I'd suggest a micellar water. Garnier makes a popular one (in the pink bottle) that's really reasonably priced and that I'd recommend.
If you're concerned with closed comedones, an AHA would serve you well. Paula's Choice makes a popular one, but I've also heard good things about Mizon's AHA (bonus: it's cheaper). Make sure you use a good sunscreen with AHA! It makes your skin photosensitive, so broad spectrum sunscreen is mandatory every day (otherwise it'll accelerate the aging of your skin).
To increase hydration, I'd recommend using a hydrating toner before applying moisturiser. Hydration should plump your skin a bit and reduce signs of aging. I love the Hada Labo toner and apply it after I've used my BHA/AHA (after a 20 minute wait) to a damp face (I typically spritz with plain water or aloe vera juice). I wait for it to dry a bit and then apply a moisturiser and it works super well.
Vitamin C serums are excellent for anti-aging. Unfortunately, they tend to be unstable - they're best kept in a dark area, away from heat and light and optimally, in the fridge. However, if you'd still like to give it a go, OST's vit C serum is popular. Wrap the bottle in aluminum foil and it should keep longer. Signs to tell if it's gone off is a change in colour (goes dark) and smell (sour, funky). You should use it right after cleansing and then wait about 15 - 20 minutes before continuing with the rest of your routine.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. (:
I LOVE AZELAIC ACID. So I pretty well thought I would live with a red face forever along with a severely damaged moisture barrier. The biggest thing that helped me was azelaic acid. I use Melazepam from Amazon. Cheap and works! It's thick at first but smoothes into my skin leaving it kinda matte. At first it itched like crazy and I wasn't using it consistently enough. Then after more research, I decided to use it up and give it a chance. Along with anything high in ceramide, my skin got used to the 20% AzA. Maybe around the 10th day of twice daily use, my skin finally started to look normal. I also switch my oil cleanser to an olive oil based one and saw even more improvement in my redness. I've just added in Vit C to my under eye area and continuing to use Melazepam around the rest of my face and neck and my ENTIRE COMPLEXION is EVEN NOW! Would never have believed that was possible. Melazepam has also minimized my SFs on my nose, has finally stopped this ingrown hair on my neck from forming (I've had it for years!!!), and has cleared all the CCs on my forehead. I repeat: I loooooove azelaic acid, specifically Melazepam!
Current routine:
AM
Garnier Micellar Water - pink cap or Cerave Foaming cleanser
Cosrx Aha/bha Clarifying Treatment Toner
BELITAE Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid to my under eye area and upper cheeks
Melazepam to the rest of my face and neck, especially my nose. Sometimes I wait after the Vit C but not usually since I don't use them in the same spots.
I do wait 15-20 minutes after my actives step.
SCINIC First Treatment Essence 3 skin method. My face loves this more than the Missha FTE.
SCINIC Snail All In One Ampoule or SCINIC Honey All In One Ampoule depending on the day.
CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
A'PIEU PURE BLOCK Natural Sun Cream SPF45/PA+++ I don't see much sunlight at all but when I do, this one keeps me from turning beet red imediately upon application.
Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Derma Green-Cure Solution Recover Cream This is the best thing I've found for redness and skin barrier repair! My skin loves ceramides so much and this soothes like nothing I've found yet.
Medela Tender Care Lanolin Tube on my lips. Yes it's nip cream. I couldn't use it all up while nursing and it causes my skin to redden so it's perfect for a little lip color.
PM
ROHTO Hada Labo Gokujun Cleansing Oil My skin reacted to Holika Holika Soda Pore B.b Deep Cleansing Oil so this is my second one to try and I'm really enjoying it.
Cerave Foaming cleanser with a konjac sponge but waiting on
Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam in the mail.
Cosrx Aha/bha Clarifying Treatment Toner
BELITAE Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid to my under eye area and upper cheeks
Melazepam to the rest of my face and neck, especially my nose like the AM.
SCINIC First Treatment Essence 3 skin method.
All depending on how I'm feeling that evening:
LJH TeaTree 90 Essence
SCINIC Snail All In One Ampoule
SCINIC Honey All In One Ampoule
Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence
Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
MIZON Snail Repair Eye Cream
Petitfee Black Pearl and Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch Not sure if I like these or not honestly...
Some or all of these layers followed by CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion and
Guerisson 9 Complex Horse Oil Cream
Pretty sure my shower filter, Mermosis, has also helped my skin and hair.
I also use sometimes REVITABOOST PEEL Anti-Aging Peel Pads or Cosrx Bha Blackhead Power Liquid but I skip my AzA on those days and just go back to my regular routine the following day. These are rare for me though because they make me ridiculously red again.
Things I'm waiting on in the mail:
ROSETTE Aqua Ceramide Gel
Rumase BIFIDA Snail Toner
Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam
It's Skin Power 10 Formula - PO Effector
Hoping the all work well for me too!
I think the best way to think about your theme is, just the things that make us feel pampered, loved, and beautiful. What gifts can you buy that could put self-love back into someone's life? Maybe it's just giving someone a few things to alleviate stress, like some nice bath products or a subtle candle scent. Or maybe you could just look for items that accentuate femininity and grace, like a embroidered handkerchief! Here is a list of things that will give the ladies in your life some help giving back to themselves:
e.l.f. Cosmetics 12 Piece Brush Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HKR6WM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_GqlDwb1AXC858
Konjac Sponge (3 Pack) Activated Bamboo Charcoal. Facial Cleansing & Exfoliating Beauty Sponges https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WFSBHO8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_thlDwbXZ3YMEQ
12 discount panties (like 6 for 20.00 or less at target
Burt's Bees Fabulous Mini's Travel Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V0XQAU0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_yXlDwbYEBEK56
6 LA Colors Nail Polish Remover Pads Aceton Free Fruit Scent 6 Different Ones (Total 199 pADSs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007TXJKES/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_WdmDwbNM22R2N
I own both have used both for quite a bit of time.
Overall, I prefer the Laneige one because I feel it really makes a significant difference over the Bite one. My lips look noticeably more plumper and softer, IMO. Bonus is that it's cheaper!
Hellooo! I just got my 2nd amazon global order today!! I'm so happy.
If you're a make up wearer, a spray SPF might be useful, I got this in my order
An affordable rice brand/germ oil recommended by ratzilla
$3 sunscreen alcohol free! There's different versions but here's the basic (light grapefruit scent, dries matte but quite oily feeling as it goes on, very runny, a little white cast)
Here is a cream I have my eyes after, it has astaxanthin, a powderful anti oxidant that I really like using under my sunscreen (along with vit c). I haven't used it, I'm currently using a cream from sana with astaxanthin in and but it's becoming drying for me now we're in the winter here even in texas. The cream looks very nourishing if you translate the ingredients
minon amino moist emulsion I really love emulsions in my routine, I find they just plump up the skin and my skin holds onto it all day better rather than just light lotions. This emulsion is highly ranked in JP and is more affordable here than on amazon USA (but it is available for prime in usa)
ettusais lip essence it's soooo good. It's quite expensive though even at retail, but if you feel like treating your self... keep your eyes out for the collab versions, i think you can also find winnie the pooh ones right now on amazon global.
here is an minon amino moist trial kit that is quite affordable and has a nice array of items to try!
EDIT here is my wish list with random bits and bobs too! http://amzn.asia/7Muyfhw
I had a badass skincare routine going before pregnancy that is totally not pregnancy friendly; I’m talking BHA/AHAs, special face washes, and rags, everything...
I got some pretty bad acne when I had to stop my routine, probably just because my skin was oily and I hadn’t looked into how to handle it while gestating just yet. But I’m getting MUCH better in the 2nd trimester, and now it’s just healing the scars left from the hell trimester. Here we go:
Face:
• Garnier Clean+ Clarifying Cleansing Gel Sensitive Skin - Takes off my makeup easily. Mostly used in the shower because washing faces in sinks is brutal in the bad way.
• Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily Skin - Takes off eye makeup easily if your having trouble with your thick black eyeliner smearing down your face because you “insist on doing your makeup like a ‘vam-per’” according to your parents.
• MISSHA Time Revolution Clear Toner - Expensive as shit toner that I paid over $18 for and is now listed at $15, WTF Amazon. But it’s good stuff, pregnancy safe, toner is good stuff anyway, and it’s helping with evening my skin tone back out from the acne scars.
• Triple Vitamin C Serum L-Ascorbic Acid - Vit C oil to help you fake that “pregnant glow” that we were all promised...
• Bio-Oil Liquid Purcellin Oil - I use an off brand that I got on clearance but omg...like...I know this stuff is expensive but it’s a miracle. You just dab some on your scarred places, like the acne marks, or where your stupid fucking cat decided your hand was a snack and ripped a hole on your hand, or dark spots on your legs because you’re still bad at shaving leg hair and not leg skin, and I swear it fades SO FAST. Also rub it all over your boobs and belly. Like pretty much I would bathe in this from the neck down if it wouldn’t bankrupt my family.
• Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry/Sensitive Skin - Old faithful, the moisturizer. A tiny bit goes a long way. Also tends to make its way to my boobs when I’m tired and dont feel like using other lotions.
Body:
• NIVEA Q10 Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion - Bought pre-pregnancy. I used to use it every single morning and night on my thighs and it totally does reduce the appearance of cellulite. Now I use it lazily but it’s there and smells ok so it’s my go-to body lotion.
• Lansinoh Hpa Lanolin Nipple Soothing Cream - my nipples are pierced and those things get dry in the winter. Baby may not be here yet but I went ahead and decided to try this stuff out. Seems legit. It’s super thick, moreso than Vaseline but I dig it.
I also use special toothpaste (not because pregnant, because shit teeth), a special washcloth (because I developed keratosis pilaris (sp?) and I wasn’t having it. The special rag put a stop to it FAST), lady-bits wash (because I get self conscious about sweating and smelling funky), special “sensitive skin” lube, and well I guess that’s about it. I sound like an amazon ad for many products. I’m not. Just a researcher/lover of my husband describing me as “so soft” when he touches me. 🤗
Ok...Here we go! This is a very relevant topic to me so get ready for a long reply ha!
I have cystic acne that only came up after going off of birth control a year ago. I've tried SO MANY things, but nothing worked! It wasn't until we started TTC when I was taking more vitamins that it finally got better, but it was still not great.
I found a routine that keeps it in check though and it involves Manuka Oil! My skin is in the best shape it has ever been! So here is what I found that works for me:
AM: I wash my face with Era Organics Natural Face Wash. About 3x per week I use their scrub. Then mix a little bit of Manuka Oil with CeraVe AM Moisturizer then apply Bare Minerals powder concealer.
PM: I remove my make up as soon as I get home from work with Micellar Cleansing Water and wash with the Era Organics face wash. Then I put a little bit of organic sweet almond oil along with the manuka oil on a cotton round and apply that to my face to moisturize. Sometimes I'll swap out the almond oil for CeraVe PM moisturizer, but the almond oil seems to help a little better.
Along with this routine, I take 30 mg of zinc and the recommended dose of vegan DHA every day, 5000 IU of vitamin D M-F, along with my prenatal. But I swear by the zinc. Here is a little information on why zinc helps with acne.
As for my chest and back (I get pimples there too but not cystic) I've been putting witch hazel and manuka oil on a cotton round every morning/evening and it has really helped clear it up! Granted I just started this routine a week ago so I hope it continues!!!
For someone who has struggled with this to the point of tears, I finally feel like I have it under control!!
First, how old are you? There comes a point where your parents are just going to have to let go and allow you to make your own decisions. Just be forthright with them...don't try to hide anything about the tattoo. Let them know that tomorrow they should expect to see you with a tattoo.
It's also important to know what to expect when getting the tattoo. When you go in you'll probably be a bit nervous. This is normal. After you get settled in with your artist, the artist will shave the spot you're getting the tattoo. After that, the artist will trace the design onto the spot.
At this point you have the great opportunity to give the tattoo a test drive, as this is an exact copy of the tattoo in the exact spot where it will live permanently. Take your time looking at this. Look in the mirror. Walk around the shop for a little bit with it on. See how you'll feel with the placement. And if you decide you want to tweak the placement don't be shy about letting your artist know.
Okay, now you're ready. The artist will show you his tools, and then he/she will get to work. It's going to be a scary moment leading up to it, but the moment the needle hits you, the scariness subsides almost immediately.
Just know that it will hurt...anyone who tell you that tattoos don't hurt is lying. They do. It feel like someone is taking a hot knife across your skin, and you just have to sit there and take it and not move at all. But after a while the endorphins kick in, which give you a nice euphoric feeling.
Once the work is done the artist will wrap the tattoo either in seran wrap, or some sort of pad. This is because the tattoo is a big open wound, and you need to keep bacteria out of it. The artist will also give you detailed instruction on aftercare of the tattoo - when to take the wrapping off, when to wash it and what to wash it with, and how to keep it moisturized. You need to take these instructions as gospel and FOLLOW THEM TO A T!
Think of a tattoo as an extremely long-term investment. If you don't take care of it properly, it can get damaged and look terrible. You need to wash it, and keep it moisturized. And the most important thing is to keep it out of the sun for about 6 weeks while it heals. The sun can cause tattoos to fade, especially when they're heeling.
I recommend getting a Tattoo Goo kit. It has everything you need - soap, lotion, and moisturizer (this is the greatest stuff to keep a tattoo looking awesome) and a really convenient little sunscreen stick.
As far as being nervous about having something on you forever, just try to have some faith in your decisions. It's also okay to decide to not go through with it. Just listen to yourself.
Anywho, I have a few tattoos. If you have any further questions I'll be happy to answer.
I have oily/combination skin, so I feel ya. However, there's a hypothesis that oily skin is caused by the skin overproducing oil to act as a moisturizing agent for "secretly dry" skin (at least in most people). Another hypothesis is that your skin is dehydrated and your skin produces oil in response to that. I learned all this from /r/skincareaddiction (shameless plug, again) and from having acne and oily skin for like 6 solid years until I got my shit together.
Your skin will figure out the oiliness issue on its own if you acclimate it to a routine. Moisturize morning and night with a light-med weight moisturizer. I love this moisturizer, but its really up to what your skin responds well to.
Make sure you're using a gentle facewash that isn't stripping your skin of its natural oils; that will make your skin want to overproduce oil as well. I use this cleanser because its non-foaming and foaming is usually an indicator of some sort of oil-stripping agent. Some people also swear by micellar water, which is essentially as gentle as you can get. I'm by no means an expert, this is just knowledge I've picked up over the years (because I'm super lame and spend my free time reading about skincare). Hope this giant blob of text helps you!

My best friend has gone through a rough semester. She's transferring as a junior to a new college after this semester ends (and she has a boyfriend at her current school; both of them are unsure if they can do long distance), and she's been looking for an internship for a while without any luck and is really discouraged. :/ I have this set on my wishlist for her since she loves strawberries and bath products. We have matching strawberry plush charms (will upload pic later) that I gave her after high school graduation for good luck for us both in college, so it's become kind of a tradition for me to always get her something strawberry related every year, either for her birthday or Christmas. XD I thought it would be especially fitting this year since she's going to start fresh again at a new school. I miss her to bits and wish I could do more; it's hard since I go to school out of state.
Thanks for the contest!
What I do for self care is taking care of my nails. I used to bite them down until they were practically nubs, as well as chewing on the surrounding cuticle area until I ended up bleeding. Then I finally was able to stop after what felt like so many tries. What I would like to suggest is this Sample Kit from a company called Bliss Kisss. The kit has sample sized items of their lotion stick, lip balm, latex barrier (comes in handy when doing nail art), and scented cuticle oils (really small), as well as a full size of their cuticle oil pen that is fragrance free. All of these products make it known that moisturizing is key to having healthy nails (except the lip balm, of course, though it's still a great product!). They have this kit along with some other things available on Amazon, though they do have more things to offer on their actual website. I highly recommend it!
Amazon, pretty expensive ($130) but for me it was a great purchase, and it’s still working fine after a year. I only use it on my temples and it feels great.
I also use the 36 pin (needles) cartridge. I think they’re like 50 pieces for around 55 bucks. They’re all disposable and click-on to the dermapen itself.
I try to clean and use it twice before throwing each one cartridge away. Dermapen once every 2-3 weeks so 50 pieces will last me, at the very least, 2 years. So 55 bucks every 2 years unless they bump up the price lol

Hi, first off. I recommend checking out /r/SkincareAddiction. They know a lot about the ins and outs of products. But here's my little bit of wisdom; as someone (F23) who has been struggling with hormonal acne these past few months, I noticed the biggest increase in my skin appearance when I changed my diet. I started this elimination diet called Whole30 just over 2 weeks ago and have seen dramatic improvements in my skin this past week. You may not need to go on a 30 day cleanse, but I recommend cleaning up your diet as much as you can and then re-introducing certain foods to see if it triggers a breakout. Maybe try giving up things like dairy and sugar, and then bring them back after a few weeks to see if they may be throwing your hormones out of whack (because no doubt, your acne is a hormonal issue). Some bits about makeup and products; I stopped using a primer (Benefits POREfessional) and liquid foundation (Urban Decay Naked foundation). I don't know if these products were clogging my pores, but I feel better taking a break from them. I started to just use a set of Bare Minerals powders instead. I also use a micellar water to take my makeup off. Garnier SkinActive Micellar water (pink cap) works great, followed by a cleanser (CeraVe), toner (Thayers Witchhazel), and moisturizer (YesToCarrots Daily Moisturizer) -- this is my pm routine, as it involves makeup removal. In the morning, I use the cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and follow up with EltaMd SPF 46 sunscreen. This sunscreen is specifically made to reduce current redness from past/present acne and protect you from the sun. You need to wear it everyday. Hope this all helps! And good luck. Having bad skin can really take a toll on your self-esteem, but just remember that it's never permanent!

Stridex pads for a BHA.
Once or twice a week I use a honey sheet mask...am always trying something new.
I'm in the process of looking for a new OTC retinol, would love some suggestions if anyone has them!
Thanks for the suggestion. I saw them on Amazon when I was searching through but didn't know if they were actually a good brand or if they were any good.
I have found these:

Are any of those good as gifts?
------
As a side note, as I have just looked into the range a little more from your suggestion, is this an acceptable gift for a 26 year old too (My sister)? I may get this as a gift for her instead as I am struggling to get ideas for her birthday too. She is pregnant though, is she ok to use these if pregnant?
On a final note, I found this:

Is that a nice gift for when she has the baby?
Sorry about all the questions, I know nothing about this stuff.
I picked up a MUCH better routine so day-to-day it’s better than when I was younger, but I have some residual sun spots that I want to zap off in the near future. My frown lines also started to settle, so hiiiii forehead Botox (zero ragrets).

This would be great if I win! OR you can surprise me! I do like surprises. :)

Hope that helps and good luck, sounds fun!
Hi there!
I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link, which we don't allow in the sub.
Could you please edit the URL so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link. Here's the tag free link:

If you've done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment. Thank you!

Does anyone happen to know the pH of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? I've looked around but can't find a source that gives a number, and the company just says that it is formulated to be "compatible with your skin". I'm going to try to get a ballpark number via pH strips, but a more accurate result would be appreciated to.
I'm primarily wondering because I have been using it after doing OCM and knowing whether it returns my skin to a natural pH (around 5.5) would be helpful.
Edit: My pH strips say around 6, but the color change isn't very noticeable.
I haven't tried it with a S3, but the Anker chargers are easily the best you can get, I have a 5 port unit that I use to charge other Atom tablets along with phones and other USB devices.
They do have some that support QC 2.0

Black diamond spot Is the original, which has more features and red lights. You can probably find it cheaper than this somewhere. That capper has the super cheapo LED's in it, you can see them in the picture.

ETA: I've found that I have less PIE when I religiously wear sunscreen, and I implement other sun protective measures (sun hat, sun umbrella, etc.).
I wasn’t clear on whether it was $20 per person or for the group. You can easily get a cute mug for each person for like $10. Piggybacking off another person you mentioned bath and body works you can get mix and match mini body mist and lotion bottles which will probably come out to like $6 a person.
I’ve also gotten this set for people before:

Here are my suggestions:
AM Cleanse: [La Roche Posay Toleriane DermoCleanse](https://www.amazon.com/Roche-Posay-Toleriane-Cleanser-Sensitive-Glycerin/dp/B000IOBEG20 or, my favorite Glossier Milky Jelly
Hydrating Toner: Thayer's Rose Petal
serum: The Ordinary makes awesome serums and explain a lot in the description boxes
moisturizer: Neutrogena HydroBoost Gel Cream
SPF Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid
Oil/Balm Jojoba Oil, this one's currently unavailable, but any will do.
Micellar Water Garnier Micellar Water
Tougher Cleanser I prefer Cerave SA Wash because I always feel like I need a bit more oomph. Avoid foamy stuff, they'll dry out too much.
chemical exfoliant I like The Ordinary Glycolic Toner but I'm dry. The Generic of these Salicylic Acid (BHA) pads work better if you're oily.
Sometimes. I also think it contributes to the unscrewing of the container as it whips around, depending upon the weight of the poop, of course.
/u/ninjawa shared this most wonderful thing. So, if you get a zipper bag-roll holder like the ones others have suggested and that clip you should be set, and that is certainly my plan!
I notice it definitely plumps up my skin! I have pretty visible pores and it really makes them appear smaller. My skin is very sensitive to moisturizer but the cream works great for me!
If you don't want to commit to the full size, they do sell the cream and the liquid in a trial pack on Amazon for $24.49, though I'm not sure about the availability outside of the US!
The one that came with Birchbox is the one that got me hooked. I have super dry skin so I opted for Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover, 13.5 floz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017PCGAXQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jm7dzb6T2T34Y
It removes makeup easily, doesn't dry, the bottle is big, and the price is perfect.
Sorry it took me a while. I had some research to do for you. This is what I've found:
So I took a look at the ingredients of your face wash. The ingredients are fine, but one in particular makes me uncomfortable. Take a look here.
The moisturizer is okay, but has alcohol in it, which is recommended to avoid for dry skin. It also has isocetyl stearate, which flags as an irritant. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but I like to stay away from things that are flagged that highly. See here.
I've done some more research on dry skin and improving your type of skin texture, which is called 'orange peel skin', and here are some products I think may work for you. Remember, if you decide to go with any of them, introduce them one at a time, and give at least two weeks between each introduction to make sure they don't break you out or irritate you.
That's it! After about 3/4 months you should see an improvement. Make sure you're not exfoliating, scrubbing your face, or rubbing it really hard with a towel.
You might want this burt's bees set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004EDWMBO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_Q9ilDbBYP19YW
It's a great way to try great products.
Here are some of the beauty deals for today 7/10.

Fourth that. I just bought the Black Diamond Spot, and took it out this morning on dark, rocky, rooty, twisty trail. Even on the default 75% or so brightness, it was more than sufficient.

Oooo after getting engaged, I was finally motivated to "treat" myself to a skincare routine. Honestly the two biggest things have been lotion (CeraVe) and sunscreen (Watery Essence). The routine starts at "night" in my mind:
Then in the morning ...
It's a little over the limit (I just bought one for 9.99 a few days ago) but this burt's bees kit is awesome It's thoughtful, as winter messes with our skin, it's really good quality stuff.
I use this, it's a steal at $6-$7 for 13.5oz, and it works wonderfully. I don't know if I'd call it a "knock-off" since Garnier has been making it for quite a while, and micellar water works through quite a simple mechanism that the beauty industry has long made use of. It isn't anything special, basically, so I don't believe there's any real reason "legitimate" French brands would be any better/more effective.
They sell a skin tag remover on Amazon that has great results. It comes with a device that shoots a tiny band around your skin tag. Take 5-10 days to fall off painlessly.
https://www.amazon.com/TagBand-Removal-Device-Medium-Large/dp/B00RVYW2PY/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=skin+tag+remover&qid=1567889224&s=gateway&sprefix=skin+tag&sr=8-4
Dog poop bag holder. It dangles the used poop bags so you don't have to hold the bag in your hand until you get home. I use a retractable leash so I bought a cheapo plastic one off Amazon. Well, I bought a couple before I found the one I like best but it's not available on Amazon anymore. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001W3DGFU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ulo9ybEXFVG14
Exposing my arms to sunlicght is one of the very, very few things that actually helps my kp. I know it goes against this Sub's anti-Sun mantra, though.
The only product that ever worked for me is Glycolic Acid body wash, lotion, etc. Glytone is the product name that my dermatologist prescribed me, but buying from Amazon is so much cheaper.
Edit: This kit is what almost cured my kp http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002D48QR0?cache=1b3a93b83037453cdba34ed5815fcbf8&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1414138056&sr=8-3#ref=mp_s_a_1_3
I wish I'd taken "before" pics.
I have been interested in trying this as well! I believe Sephora sells it, so you could get a sample if you have a store near you. And they also sell the liquid and the cream in a small set here if you want to give it a go!
Gerber products suck... obviously it is more expensive because it has Bear Grylls' name on it. For just 30 bucks you can get a Black iamond Spot which has never failed me.
My #1 rule when buying stuff for outdoors use is to never buy cheap. Humans have been camping in the back-country for literally thousands of years and quite frankly the gear you can buy these days is really good stuff, and you can get it cheaply, but that doesn't meant there aren't a whole bunch of knock-offs and bad products. Best thing you can do is search for reviews online that people have made about actual-use scenarios.
But what I mean is that there's two different pink caps:
https://imgur.com/a/RgHet (from the amazon.ca website: https://www.amazon.ca/Garnier-Waterproof-Cleansing-Including-Sensitive/dp/B017PCGAXQ/ref=sr_1_4_m?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1522800353&sr=1-4&keywords=garnier+micellar+water)
I'm guessing the second in the list is the more popular "pink cap" one everyone refers to?
Is this it? Dr. Pen Ultima A6 Professional Microneedling Pen Wireless Electric Skin Care Tools Kit with 6 Pcs 36-Pin Needles Cartridges https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J468Y9N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MsbBCbZ6WAN16
I have KP, and the products that finally got rid of them for me were Glytone products (body wash and moisturizer), but I suppose anything with glycolic acid would work. Just a word of advice, if you apply them with bare hands, the skin on your hands will start to peel. Nothing dramatic, but I wasn't expecting it although it should've been obvious.
This is the kit I used.
Mine were mostly on my upper arms, but that product line has products especially for your face. Also, make sure you use sunscreen as your skin will be slightly more sensitive.
Skin barrier has been damaged. Like what /u/pugmommy4life420 said, stop using anything that stings your face. I believe it takes up to 30 days for your skin barrier to repair itself.
It's ironic since Cerave is supposed to be gentle and good for you and all that. I personally find that the Cerave moisturizing lotion (not the AM/PM ones) does not burn my face. To clean my face when my barrier is down, I use this
I have 1 awful skin tag that i've started wondering how to remove and ran across this:

As mentioned below, something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FYK1PIC/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?qid=1456943409&sr=1-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65
I want to buy a portable wall charger with multiple ports that will be able to charge my Switch while playing Zelda. This is more complicated than I expected.
From what I've gathered, the console’s AC adapter is 15V @ 2.6A, or 39 Watts.
So this wall charger should do the trick, right?: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017JSZKGY/ref=sc_iw_c_3_24209190111?_encoding=UTF8&m=A294P4X9EWVXLJ&n=2420919011
Anything by Anker is great. I got this one, but they have many different models.
EDIT: If you're looking for something more portable, this would do the trick.
This micellar water hasn't failed me yet! Put some on a cotton pad (you don't need a ton) and let it sit on your eyes/lashes for 30 seconds. It may take a bit more wiping/dabbing after that depending on the product, but it should all come off. If you use too much you might need to splash your face with water afterwards because too much can make your skin feel slick/oily.

hey, im in your boat. very similar situation, i transitioned to vegetarianism in high school and experienced hemorrhoids that turned into skin tags. I was sooo embarrassed of them but started dating a guy who accepted them. We broke up recently so now I'm self-conscious again. i am trying out these right now https://www.amazon.com/TagBand-Removal-Device-Medium-Large/dp/B00RVYW2PY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=skin+tag+removal&qid=1557115149&s=gateway&sr=8-3 but as my skin tags are larger than the rubber bands I've only been able to remove parts of them and it's pretty painful. not sure how large yours are but I've tried witch hazel on my bum for a while and it decreased swelling but didnt do much else. i also read epsom salt helps, so im giving that a try, I can keep you updated. Your situation sounds similar to mine so i hope that somewhat helps you or gives you an idea of what to try, lmk if you have more questions

It has a little "oil" in it to remove waterproof mascara/eyeliner. It's the only oil-esque makeup remover my skin doesn't react to!
perhaps something like https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B017PCGABI/?coliid=I2G3PIEGKHFIV8&colid=2PSJHDOQUCFXG&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it? (sorry, I'm a n00b at this sort of stuff)
Bioderma Sensibo was the first and the best, IMO. Garnier Pink Cap works well too (and is much cheaper), but can balk at really stubborn waterproof formulas.
After having 2 poop bag holders unscrew on me within 3 weeks and me getting fed up, I bought this bag holder, which is similar to the one /u/surlylemur linked, along with this clip because I wanted to have a clip. I have them attached to my leash in a way that doesn't have anything dangling (because another problem with the plastic poop bag holder with a clip was that my other leash would often get caught in the clip). I can take a picture of the setup when I get home and post it, if you want to see.
Edit: here's a pic of my setup https://imgur.com/YXf0sjZ.jpg
If I wore makeup that day I remove it with Garnier Micellar Water. After that a quick face wash with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser and swipe on some Thayers Witch Hazel Toner (I use the rose one). Then a small amount of CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (at night) or Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer (SPF 15 for the day) and I'm done!
I have combination skin that alternates between being too oily and too dry. I have LOTS of large pores and sebaceous filaments around my nose and chin, and they never seem to go away, even with occasional blackhead strips or weekly exfoliation. I sometimes get acne in these spots as well as my forehead--occasionally small bumps, but usually cystic acne. I recently switched from the birth control pill (combination pill) to an IUD, so I've noticed an increase of acne on my face and body (where I've never really gotten acne before, even before I went on the pill).
I've also always had issues with redness and unevenness, especially around my cheeks and nose. It flares up when I'm stressed or when I eat gluten (celiac disease), and it seems really similar to my mother's rosacea. My skin is very sensitive as well, and harsh products irritate my skin and make it inflamed, red, and itchy.

Here's my current routine:
MORNING (shower)
Shea Moisture African Black Soap bar
SheaMoisture African Black Soap Body Wash (body)
Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Toner OR 100% witch hazel (alcohol free)
Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer For Sensitive Skin With Broad Spectrum Spf 15
NIGHT
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, For All Skin Types
Shea Moisture African Black Soap bar
Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Toner
LadyKin Affinitic Snail Cream
Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream OR Shea Moisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Moisturizer

When I get cystic acne, I usually use either diluted tea tree oil or a tiny bit of benzoyl peroxide directly on the bumps. The latter tends to irritate my skin very badly.

Regarding facial cleansers, I sometimes alternate between the following as well:
Skyn Iceland Glacial Face Wash
BRTC Jasmine Waterfall Foaming Cleanser

And I wear mud/charcoal masks or sheet masks about once a week or so. Would anybody be able to provide guidance? I guess my primary concern is the redness, which is usually pretty noticeable. The other issues (acne and large pores) don't look as bad in person. Does anyone have any product/routine suggestions?
