You can set out the drinks in these beakers!

You can put pixie stick sugar (or soda?) in these test tubes!

They can all wear these safety goggles that come in a 12 pack!

They can all play Mouse Trap!

You can get this 24-pack of magnifying glasses and set up a scavenger hunt around the house, leading them all to a room where they work together to make an exploding volcano!

You can use these syringe pens as party favors.

These alien test tubes would make great centerpieces/party favors as well! This would probably be the coolest thing at the party. :D

And here are some more party favors - test tube bubbles!

Hope that helps! She sounds like an awesome kid. My daughter just turned 8 and she would have loved a party like this too! :)

You should try asking your therapist for something. My therapist keeps a supply of Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty in her office just for this purpose. The putty is great to play with and comes in all sorts of colours. They even have a magnitized one! It is available in a small and large size and comes in a very portable container. I love playing with it and find it quite soothing.

Even if she doesn't give you putty having something from your therapist can be more helpful as it takes on the properties of a "transitional object". Transitional Objects can be quite powerful and help keep you connected to your therapist outside of sessions.

Whatever you use, I hope it serves its purpose well.

OKAY YOU NEED THIS RIGHT NOW basically because it is the most adorable thing I've ever witnessed.

SERIOUSLY, GO GET THAT NOW. JUST NOW. RUN.

I need this now because it REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, helps relieve stress and god knows I'm just a big bubble of stress. Plus it's super fun to play with and I've been meaning to buy it forever.

Edit: Batman Suit
Edit: If you don't buy that shirt I'm going to buy it for you.

I like to write about what makes me happy, I'm a very very anxious person too, especially in cars or around new people, so writing down good solid things helps me a bit.

And something relaxing on Amazon?

Putty!

I love having something to squeeze and squish when I get upset!

  1. This would be for me and someone else. I love to read, but lately RAoA is as far as I get. I was just looking at this book last night thinking I would probably enjoy it immensely. Then it would go to my lovely SO, who reads to escape chronic pain and is always hungering for more. This would be different from her usual fare, in a delightfully enjoyable way. Then there is our daughter...

  2. Veddy interesting.

  3. Pinky-swear.

Some people are more tactile when they roll so having interesting things to touch can be really interesting. My wife loves manipulating putty because of the sensation and says it feels very satisfying. A great type to get is any type labeled "thinking putty" as they are usually much higher quality and are marketed for adults. This brand below is our favorite and comes in some really interesting colors!

Sonya, Your Momma wouldn't tell you this but there's a lot of mean people and most will only do mean things to get a reaction out of you. Staying calm and slightly amused will piss them off and they'll stop being mean. Also, you don't have to do everything to please your friends. Stay true to yourself and do whatever makes you happy.

Something that every 9 year old wants? Apparently slime and squishes.

I can't win with Alexia! I sent the one gift but it wouldn't get there on time so I ordered another which will (HOPEFULLY) be there the 24th. :-/

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. ;-)

u/PenPenGuin · 68 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

Most people have already replied, but just in case you haven't seen it yet, this is most likely Aaron's Thinking Putty in Liquid Glass. If you're into that sort of thing as a stress toy, I can recommend the brand's other colors too, especially their metallic ones like Super Scarab. They look just as cool in person and they make excellent cube toys. Just like normal silly putty, they do tend to collect dust from surfaces though. I believe most of his putties are silicone based, couldn't tell you much more than that though.

u/G0ATLY · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I am glad to hear things are working for you both. Best wishes!

Hm you know if I seen someone wearing these I would of WTF'ed before loving goats my own self. Hm seems it doesn't include shipping in cost.. DOH!

Okay well.. this shall be my new item. O_o

Check these out:

http://www.thefoofstore.com

We have two of these in our relaxing room. They are like tempurpedic bean bags. They are a little pricey, but out of all the furniture in our house these are what our guests love to sit on most (especially while tripping) I also highly suggest getting some of this shit:

Hope your room comes together!

I am sorry you are feeling this way, this habit is very difficult to resist, so please don't be too hard on yourself, you are not alone... Just know that it can get better if you make a plan and a conscious effort to stop. I don't think it will go away by itself (at least it didn't in my case until I created a strategy).

Magnifying mirrors are evil, it's incredibly difficult to resist them, so please do get rid of it.

Since you are also picking on your shoulders, it looks like getting rid of the mirror won't help completely - this subreddit has already posted a lot of good advice on how to help with picking, but couple of things I found particularly useful:

  1. Create a progress chart - mark every day without picking and try to get the longest streak. E.g. this android app is very useful, and you can set multiple notifications a day to remind you of your commitment. Aim at a short streak first, say 3 days - it should be enough to heal sufficiently to reduce triggering you. Once you heal completely, it should be easier to keep it that way.

  2. Hide mirrors or don't switch on light in the bathroom. You can use blue tack to cover a mirror with paper and then remove a piece of paper every time you put on make up.

  3. Recognize your triggers and find a way of stopping them. E.g. if being in a bathroom ends with picking, always walk into a bathroom focusing on non-picking and your current streak. If you get into a trans in your room picking on your shoulders, try to wear clothing that makes it difficult to access them or find a way of breaking the trans (as soon as you recognize the trans, get up and go to the kitchen to get a snack).

  4. Skin picking is a manifestation of an underlying stress, so try to find another way of releasing the stress. Different people will find different things, personally I found this useful.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. If you ever get a chance, try to contact an OMBUDSMAN for a sub and see if you can send care packages. I know it always meant a great deal to get those underway; especially around Christmas time. It can be something ridiculously childish and almost every guy onboard will love it. One of the best gifts I ever received was these. I know it's silly, but it helps to keep you sane.

Thinking Putty!
Product Description: It'll Be Like Putty In Your Hands It's called Thinking Putty® because while you do whatever you want with it, your brain relaxes and opens up to all kinds of creative thinking. Need it? Yes. And you can also knead it. Or bounce it, bend it, tear it, stretch it, snap it, pop it. And it's heat sensitive, so it changes tones with temperature changes.

I can't stop procrastinating

This!

I have some putty in my purse. Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty, 3.2 Ounce, Hypercolor Amethyst Blush https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VPOFTI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eKS6CbMZV7Q4Q
(Sorry, don't know how to link on mobile)

I have a mini fidget spinner that I love. Super tiny.

I also have a spinner ring I got on wish for like $2. ADHD boyfriend has one too. Best. Thing. Ever. After about a year he fucked with his so much it broke but it was truly only a few dollars on wish so very worth it.

Pros and Cons kindle single for 99 cents.

What a nice thing to do!

funny... or, from Amazon, this, or this would surely cheer me up!

u/ricctp6 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Oh man. So I have the craziest item in that it is super expensive and I know I a) won’t ever be able to afford to buy it for myself and b) of course no one else can afford it for me either. But it would be the perfect thing to help me lose weight and be productive at the same time. I’ve heard of a couple people (richer people lol) who have them and love them!

But I also have this and this which are crazy because they are just weird. lol One is a car fridge (who needs that?! lol) and the other is one of the many weird board games I want.

Edit: Realized you said under $25, and the craziest thing I have under that is this. I love all the thinking putties and might buy myself one eventually.

Liquid Glass Putty looks pretty awesome.

I'd probably eventually add some glow powder to it so it really glows in the dark.

u/RageMaster16 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This is the weirdest item on my wish list. I have wanted one of those for the longest time. I would probably wear it more than suggested lol

But this is the weirdest thing in the before 15 range

I live in pretty California :D

u/Aortic_Bacon · 3 pointsr/Whatisthis

If it’s the insert that broke, I wonder if you could just replace the insert with something like this? Of course it’s ideal to find the real thing, but, backup idea?

Edit—maybe the insert out of one of the mesh ones would fit?

On my wish list is liquid glass putty!

Thanks for doing this, OP!

u/Zanchbot · 59 pointsr/chemicalreactiongifs

This looks like the stuff

Same company makes magnetic putty. I ordered some of that a couple months back and it's fun stuff!

u/lakija · 5 pointsr/Simulated

Oh. Well... since I like you here's some stuff that will turn your bath into slime. Have fun.

u/ChrisC1234 · 2 pointsr/cscareerquestions

Enough toys to operate a toy store. But my favorite is my 1 pound egg of Silly Putty. I'm a fidgeter, and this is the most played with thing on my desk.

u/lipplog · 2 pointsr/oculus

I've had this problem since DK1. Good old silly putty strategically placed helps me.

u/nyan_dog · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon
  1. This liquid glass can be quite the stress reliever, if we're to believe these guys.

  2. I can't stop procrastinating.

  3. This USB charger.

    Thanks!
u/MoopusMaximus · 2 pointsr/reactiongifs

I believe its silly putty that's also attractive to magnets. It has very tiny iron (not 100%) filings that give it magnetic properties.

Buy it here.

u/metalsupremacist · 1 pointr/Unexpected

my credit card is out, where can I buy this stuff? shutupandtakemymoney.jpg

edit: this one seems to be a larger container than some of the cheaper ones.

Could have saved ~$3 by buying it from a seller that isn't fulfilled by amazon:

u/garage_cleaner · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I've always thought this magnetic putty was the pops blooby!

u/chazysciota · 1 pointr/explainlikeimfive

Oh man. I hope you aren't messing with me... maybe you just call it something else. In the US it's called Silly Putty.

Totally worth $5, buy some right now.

It bounces if you throw it, but squishes if you squeeze it... sort of like corn starch mixture, but less messy.

u/Schierke · 1 pointr/aspergers

Meh. This is the ultimate fidget toy! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A8PW9QK

u/Wincal308 · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Pretty sure this is liquid glass putty... could be wrong but the stuff is seemingly hard until you manipulate it and then it’s sticky but difficult to move.

u/pogtheawesome · 3 pointsr/AskMen

best: a tub of thinking putty off amazon. Damn that shit's addicting.
2nd best: my fountain pen. And then a hell of a lot of ink.
runner up: my angel wrap blanket from amazon. So fluffy and versatile

worst: One time they had cookies on sale at my school for 25c a cookie and 50 for a glass of milk and I handed over all the money I had (like 10 bucks) and then got a very very bad tummy ache.
I'd do it again if I had the opportunity honestly

u/keatonch · 6 pointsr/Damnthatsinteresting

You can get it here. I don't think i would shell out 22 bones for something that i'll inevitably get dirty and then forget about until it's glued together the pages of a book or something.
