If you’re looking for a screen protector, I’d highly recommend this one. I do physical labor as part of my work which involves lifting objects, using tools and equipment, and working in a shop where there’s stuff all around that can be bumped into. I’ve banged my Versa into things a bunch of times but there hasn’t been a single scratch on it since this protected covers every millimeter of the watch that’s visible besides the buttons (it wraps all around to the back and there’s holes for the buttons). I was kind of wondering how well it would actually work until I smacked it into something which caused a fairly large and niticible scrap on the protector. I took the cover off to check the watch out and there wasn’t a single mark on it, and it still looks like new even after having it for around roughly six months. The only “issues” there are is that it might get dirty underneath and you have to remove the cover to charge it, but it literally takes one second to remove and put back on and all you need to do to clean it is take a damp towel and wipe it out.

I kind of went overboard on the accessories when I got my Versa since I was excited so here’s a few other things I picked up:

Versa charging dock: I wasn’t a fan of the charger that came with the Versa soI went with this. It’s nice and compact and pretty well made. Holds onto the watch well and charges very quickly.

Lether bands: I picked up four of these in different colors. Haven’t worn any of them a ton and only do so when I go out to do something nice which isn’t often lol (movies, dinner, etc.), but they’re comfortable and look good. Well made from what I see too.

Stainless steal bands: I’ve worn these more often than the previous ones and they’re really comfortable, you don’t even feel them at all. They fit into place perfectly as well and hook up easily too. I’m probably going to start wearing them more.

Rubber sport band: By far my favorite band and it’s the one I use daily. Stylish and durable and it’s one of the few times where I’ve seen a product advertise air holes as a feature and they actually work. Like I said I do a lot of physical work and I also lift weights, and I found that my wrist would become uncomfortable under the watch. This band actually does breath and I feel no discomfort. I did have a major problem getting it to hook in and considered sending it back at first, but it just simply doesn’t hook into the slots like other bands. It has the same mechanism but you kind of need to angle it downward and push it into place. Once I got that figured out, it didn’t become a problem at all.

Username: /u/Snowmonkey1172

Body:

Hello Reddit, selling off a lot of my technology because right now I could use the money and am trying to live a little more simple so I thought I'd start with stuff I don't use all that much. Nothing has the original box with the exception of the BeatsX. All come with a charger.

I've got a 2014 MacBook pro I got about a year ago for school, but hardly ever use it.
SPECS
2.5 Ghz i7
GT 750m and Intel Iris pro
16gb RAM
512GB SSD.
Battery has quite a few cycles on it, but could still get through a whole day on campus. Comes with the 85 Watt charger.

My Apple Watch 4 is the 44m, Aluminum, space grey without Cellular. Body dosen't have many scratches, The screen currently has a Skinomi screen protector and comes with the 3 I have left in the box and can be found here. the glass does have a few scratches on it, they aren't very noticeable when the screen protector is off, but not noticeable with it on.

My AirPods I bought last year still work great, don't get a ton of use and are still in good condition. The case is a bit scratched up, but the AirPods themselves are still in good condition. The beatsX I bought around the same time to use at work and got a bit more use out of the, I still have the box with all original accessories, the wing tip on the left earbud broke, but was fixed with a little super glue and can be removed. Work with no issues.

And at last I have a NytStnd I bought off Etsy for charging all my stuff, works great and is in great condition I'll just have no use for it anymore it can be found here to see what it looks like, it's the oak (dark wood) base with white top

Got this leather band from Amazon for around $10. Looks great on my Apple Watch, also Space Grey Aluminum.

Been wearing it almost every day for a little over 2 weeks. Fits nice and snug into the watch -- I have no anxiety in the band failing and the watch falling off.

Leather seemed and smelled genuine, and has broken in very well. No tears or malformations in the band. Excellent quality.

I also just got this watch, my first Apple Watch, about a month ago. If you're in the market for Apple Watch accessories, do pick up the Skinomi screen protector pack. This specific brand and screen protector is widely praised throughout this subreddit for its value, quality, ease of installation, and next-to-invisible look. I was skeptical at first because I did not want to ruin the look of my beautiful watch with its classy leather band, but trust me when I say this: you cannot tell there is a screen protector on with that product. If installed correctly, which is easy and foolproof due to its wet install procedure, the protector will shape and smooth itself out and become practically invisible. Feels fine on the finger too. And $7 for a 6-pack? Tremendous value. I don't foresee myself needing to change out the protector for a long time. The Apple Watch is a pricey fashion accessory and utility that is strapped to your wrist and is prone to bump into stuff, even with utmost care. Protect its integrity and resale value with a cheap screen protector.

I would definitely use a screen protector. Not everyone likes cases, but I do and here's my favorites. I think the S3 is the same size as the S2, so they should fit the S3 I hope.

Skinomi screen protector from amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H7WV1QU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_bScCzb9QMKFDX

Great case, but it's bulky. It has a raised edge that MIGHT protect the screen a little, but I don't trust it so I still use a screen protector.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0QYUR4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_USlEzbKN82J81

Had this one for a few months and they're great. They snap on easily and are tight and secure. Made of hard plastic type material.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014HA8RG2/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1501106014&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=fintie+apple+watch+case&dpPl=1&dpID=51S3Iq%2BGZIL&ref=plSrch

I wanted one that was gray to match my space gray watch better. They are really form fitting and thin and barely stick out from the watch at all. Made of rubbery TPU material.

I received my X-Doria case yesterday and I am very happy with it. It fits very snug, I like the rubber between the metals. It is sharp looking as well. One other thing I find that is quite nice is the case still allows access to the digital crown for both pressing and rotating, but it protects it very nicely. The case does not interfere with my screen protector nor does it interfere with charging.

It is a little larger than I thought I would like, however it is so light and looks like it is a part of the watch to begin with that I dont really notice.

This one will be my everyday case.

u/huge_wang · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

There's only one so far from a reputable company so I would suggest you bite the bullet and just get it. I got mine yesterday and I'm so glad I did. I tried about 4 different crappy Amazon chinese ones and a couple of different films and they all suck. Installation is a little intimidating but you get two tries for what seems like a almost permanent solution. I ended up with those two tiny dots in the top right that might be from dust but I'm totally happy with it. It looks and feels like it's not going anywhere so that's good for peace of mind.

Whitestone for The Apple Watch

It also comes with a little metal you snap on top that feels solid and should protect from from and side damage to the body if that is something you might run in to.

I have the LK Screen Protector with Spigen Rugged Armor Pro (case and band model) for months now and that combo is rock solid.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HMJ84CZ

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HSSDV4S

The screen protector looks and feels fine. Of course not using any would look and feel better, but you have to make some compromises for protection.Tempered glass should be better of course but I don't know if it will be compatible with the case.

The best part is, it seems this particular screen protector is indeed case friendly and there is no interference whatsoever between the case and the protector and hopefully, it stays the same down the road.

Congrats! I've had mine for about 2 months now and love it. Being that you're an EMT, I would definitely suggest getting at least a screen protector or case for added protection. I bought this awesome screen protector off Amazon and you can't even tell its there (lifetime replacement warranty). Good luck with making the most out of your Apple watch!

[6 Pack] LK Screen Protector for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HMJ84CZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I use these. It’s not a hard protector, like tempered glass, but it’s good at preventing scratches on the screen. It’s like a soft silicone-like material. It’s pretty solid. Saved my screen many times. And there’s 6 in the pack. However, they are NOT water proof. Don’t go swimming with it

u/BB0410 · 1 pointr/GalaxyWatch

If you decide to get one again you could try the IQShield like someone else posted. I've found it can contour to the screen's slightly curved sides which is nice. I'm pretty happy with it for daily use and scuffs. But it probably won't provide much protection against a hard direct hit to the screen.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N7S9SMS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MFQVCb9ZAAAAK

I also just ordered this TPU case hoping to protect the watch from dings without adding too much bulk.

I'm a nurse and want to wear mine at work. I just got my Apple Watch Sport and I'm worried about scratching it by bumping it on someone's bed rail or something, so I ordered a screen protector from Amazon and also some bumpers for the face to change up the color and add some protection from scuffs. I also got apple care. I may be being too cautious, but I rarely spend $350 on an accessory so you're damn right I'm gonna baby it!

Edit: This is the screen protector I ordered. I haven't received it yet but it offers edge to edge protection and seemed to have mostly positive reviews.

These are the bumpers I got. I thought they'd add a little extra protection and plus it'll be fun to switch up the colors and match them with different bands.

u/Plastilina_Ve · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

These are the ones I use and they're amazingly good. Can barely tell there's something there. Requires a wet install and a few hours to settle, but it's totally worth it.

PS: Can confirm the Series 1 screen scratch pretty easily. Have a Series 2 with one of these installed since day one, so wouldn't know if there's a difference.

I have used 2 in the year that I've had it. I could have kept the old one on longer, but it was starting to flake off a little bit and look bad. I'm not sure if it's the best of the best, but I l've liked it so far.

I have had this one from OMOTON on my watch for over a week now and I very much like it. It comes with absolutely everything you could need for install, almost completely covers the face (leaves about maybe a .5mm gap which really isn't very noticeable and never bothers me), is crystal clear (has had no real effect on how the screen looks to me), and didn't affect touch sensitivity in any noticeable way. I'm very happy with it.

I have a case and screen protector on mine. I try to keep mine looking fancy so I can sell them the next year and buy the new one with very little out of pocket. I bought both my case and screen protector on Amazon. I'm happy with both. I don't LOVE the case, but I have whacked this thing on just about everything already, because I bought the big one, despite my small wrists. I am hoping that more stylish cases come out. I also keep AppleCare on my 4, where I didn't keep it on my 3. Something about that extra $70 really pushed me over the edge.

Mine will usually be ok for a while until i eventually swing my arm and whack something with my watch. Usually on a door or door jamb, the metal pieces on the outer edges has got me several times.

So now im always sporting a screen protector but have never had sensitivity issues at all. Works really well actually. Currently using this particular protector which was a little bit of a pain to learn how to put it on but once i figured it out it’s been probably the best protector I’ve had over the years.

I am currently using these. Pretty easy to install after watching the short how to video and came with enough to replace whenever.

I’ve had four generations of Apple watches without a case or Apple care... maybe I’m just a careful person lol both seem like a waste of money in my opinion. Put a screen protector on it from skinomi and call it good. Link below

Ever since having a Pebble I have always put a gadgetwrap on mine.

When I bought my Apple Watch last week I went straight to Amazon and bought an Armorsuit for it. They are JUST like the Gadgetwrap but it folds over the screen! I hate the ones that just cover the front of the screen and when you swipe with your fingers you feel the corners and such. This one wraps over the edges so you don't get that and I LOVE it! Very cheap to for a 2 pack with lifetime warranty.

I picked up these Armorsuit shields on Amazon and they stay on really well.

Also, it’s a 6 pack so even if you screw it up you can just slap a new one on.

I ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor and found it was too big and bulky for my taste. I'm not sure if I'm going to use a case at all; I really like the look of the AWS without a case.

I ordered and installed the Armor Suit Military Shield screen protector and am very pleased with it. It covers every part of the glass; contour and all. Take your time installing it!

I got the 38mm LTE series 3 in silver aluminum with applecare. I put a screen protector and case on regardless of which model because they all scratch. If you’re concerned about shattering from impact or bumps then definitely go with the aluminum and save some cash.

Has anyone tried this one? I have this one and its not bad. It adds a bit of extra bulk to the already bulky Ticwatch Pro and the matte finish can eventually rub off. I still recommend getting one because I have had many occasions where the cover saved my watch from being torn up.

After noticing a couple of small scratches in my aluminum S2 sport, I decided to get the product linked below. I've had it on for a week or two now and it's fine. It protects my screen from small scratches and isn't really noticeable.

The installation instructions were a little intimidating, but the process was actually really easy.

I have the Series 4 with LTE and workout with it for at least an hour a day and I wear it at night. After taking it off charger on day 1 by the time I go to bed on day 2 at 9pm (I get up at 4:30 to workout) I have about 10-15% charge left and I get about 50 notifications/day.

It have already hit the face of my watch pretty hard several times and no worries.

I am pretty hard on the face of my watches. I have several standard watches (not saphire) that I have put scratches in over the years, so I decided to go this route.

It is practically unnoticeable once it is applied correctly. As long as you follow the directions on their website (youtube video), you should have excellent results.

As someone already mentioned, I purchased the following 37mm and it fits perfectly. Others say the 37.5mm fits even better but I'm not quite sure how it could- but hey, sounds like both do the job. Here's mine on my Julianna. I botched the placement a *tiny* bit, which drives me insane (can see it slightly on the bottom but it's not even noticeable from other angels)- you get 3 in the pack as well.

u/shreddedminiwheats · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I was opposed for a long time, and then noticed a hairline crack in my screen so I added one for water protection. Have had the Armorsuit for about six months now and it looks like new. I've seen others in the wild that look rough around the edges after some wear, but the Armorsuit is still clear and unnoticeable.

If you don't want to spend the cash, try one of the armorsuit screen protectors. They're pretty good at covering up scratches on the screen, so maybe it would work for you. At $7 it's wort a try at least. A buddy of mine tried on on his screen that was scratched pretty bad. It completely hid any blemishes.

u/LeonWhatever · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I would say depends on your watch model. Is it the sport version or SS?
If sport, I would suggest you get one from ArmorSuit. I have a series 0 sport and it got REALLY scratched up.
If SS, I would think to just leave it be as sapphire is quite scratch resistant

u/ofBeautyAndRage · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

If it bothers you get one of these whitestone dome glass screen protectors:

u/victoraraujo01 · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I don't use cases, but I did start using a screen protector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWEQKZO) after I saw some scratches on my watch. I absolutely hate this kind of screen protector on a phone and have always preferred to use glass screen protectors.

However, after months of using it on my watch, I came to the conclusion that I really like it. My biggest gripe with this type of screen protector was the way it feels when you slide your finger on it, but I rarely need to make this kind of gestures on the watch, since my interactions with it are mostly limited to tapping, scrolling with the Digital Crown and talking with Siri.

u/cssvt · 5 pointsr/AppleWatch

My gym has stone pillars all around the weight area. Tonight I got too close to one and roughly brushed my screen across the corner of a pillar. I have the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield applied and it took it like a champ. There was a mark that has since rubbed off, but I have zero doubts that if this was naked it'd have a nasty scratch.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UH3L82Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ZYeGybBTHGWAY

The application process is a little tedious (but not lengthy). It didn't look great the morning after applying, but over the course of the day it went from obviously there to completely invisible. Doesn't hinder use at all. Just make sure you follow their online instructions to a T as most reviews note.

EDIT : For those who've asked, it is a Fossil 5th Gen Carlyle (Black with Black Silicone model)

First, I have ran the gambit of smartwatches; Two OG Pebbles, a second gen Apple Watch, a 3rd gen apple watch, six or seven Fitbit Versas (don't get me started on those things), a 4th Gen Explorist HR, 4Th gen Fossil Sport, and now, the 5th Gen Carlyle.

I've enjoyed this watch so far. It is fast. Huge leaps faster than my sport or explorist. I find myself actually using the watch to respond to texts, use Google Assistant, check the weather and more now. Battery is still settling in, but so far, no big issues. Took off charge at 242PM yesterday, (in daily mode, with Google Assistant detection turned off, Tilt to Wake Off), and put in to theater mode around 1030PM last night.

Woke up at 620AM this morning to 44% battery left. So, 16 hours off the charge, with 56% battery drained. Roughly 3.x percent an hour, not bad for the first day of usage.

I'd say 35-40 notifications, assistant used four or five times, messed with complications and watch faces a few times.

Color me impressed.

Link to screen protector

Link to watch band (Barton Watch Band)

EDIT : Battery just died. 23 hours and 40 minutes on a single charge. Day one.

EDIT : Put on charger at 224PM, was fully dead. As of 324PM, battery has charged to 96%. So, one hour, charged from 1% to 96%. I don't recall either my sport or explorist charging near that quick.

Edit : Day 2. Took of charge at 4PM yesterday. Did a two hour workout, and used sleep as Android to track my sleep last night. Put on charge this AM at 7ish with 40ish percent on the battery. Took off charge at 8:30AM. Currently at 63%, nine hours later. Dropping am average of 7% an hour, which doesn't seem right. Battery isn't lasting today like it did the first day.
