I purchased my electric scooter (first paycheck) at the start of Summer 2018, and before that, was that guy on a kick scooter. The climate for electric scooters on campus went from what I could tell was me and another dude I saw once every month, to now seeing at least 3 every day.

I fear that what was once mild amusement to people now will become hatred when millions are everywhere and half the people scooting around purchased one have no idea what common courtesy is and attempt scootihicular pedestrianslaughter on the sidewalks, souring public opinion. Worrying premonitions aside, I can not say enough about how much I love my scooter to get around. It's the perfect combination of vehicle, where you don't have to worry about storing it like a bike, or if you never gained the magical skills to not die on a longboard/skateboard, a pretty easy to use ride. I use mine everyday and it does a good job. If you can use a longboard/skateboard those are very good options for pretty cheap human propelled transportation that are very popular, although I'll always have a soft spot for the A5 Lux Kick Scooter I used to roll around with. Brakes are neat, yo!

As for which scooter to get, I'm not up with the scooter times, but I use the Segway ES1 I purchased at Sam's Club for $350. Judging by the fact I've never actually seen another one of those out on campus (If you see a dude on one of these, probably wearing flip-flops, feel free to wave hello, say hi, and not hate me, I try to be as courteous as possible to other pedestrians/cyclists!), gonna go out on a limb and say they are no longer for sale at Sam's Club. However what I have seen on campus are the Xiaomi Mi or maybe this go trax thing. Can't speak for those at all, but they sure are popular.

The electric scooter market is pretty cheap, with the prices being low, but with the quality being low as well. There was literally like two options when I got mine, with the one I did get being sold off on clearance, but now with the explosion in this segment, the skies the limit, maybe.

Overall, the utility of an electric scooter is a great value for what they cost, and I'd happily answer any questions you've got. Also, yes I am a bit of a electric scooter nut/loser, if this thesis of a post is anything to go by.

I'm not sure if you are only looking for bikes, but if not, skateboards and scooters are also widely popular on campus.

These kinds of scooters are really popular. The ones with big wheels like this.
https://www.amazon.com/Razor-A5-Lux-Scooter/dp/B01M98EKEM

Penny boards and long boards and normal skateboards are really popular.

The nice thing about the scooters and skateboards is, around campus, things can get pretty crowded in some places and its easier to navigate the crowds on these smaller vehicles. Also, our campus is really hilly, and skateboards and scooters are easier to take up stairs.

Note though, I don't have experience riding a bike around campus, I ride a pennyboard so I don't know what people's experiences are with bikes.

The handlebars are ~36cm (14.17 inches) wide. The bar height is like 91cm (35.8 inches), the deck height is like 7.5 cm (3 inches), deck length is 12 cm (4.7 inches). I'm not too sure how to measure this, but the usable space on the deck seems to be about 35 cm (13.78 inches). My measuring tape I got from europe and only has centimeters, so approximated when converting.

I doubt the bearings are good, as it was only $40, the wheels are 200 cm allegedly, and all that jazz.

I also see this one online: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F9JNH92/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-VsNDb17JFPWF

I like that it has shocks, but will that make any real difference? I mainly want something which will maximize the efficiency per kick, not rattle and shake on less smooth asphalt, is big enough for a 5'10" and 145 lb guy.

What I like about the hudora 205 is the price and look, and that it seems easy to carry with the strap. The Hikole looks great because of the shocks and better bearings. The razor a6 looks nice because I know the brand, and it seems bigger. What do you think?

u/colbinator · 6 pointsr/toddlers

Scooter maybe? We got one of these and my 3yo loves to push around in it (we got it when she was younger so we bought the smaller one, though they have larger adjustable ones): Micro Mini 3in1 Deluxe Kick Scooter (Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DPZ805I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tGGszbTEPFHV6

House of some kind and related gadgetry, if you don't have one. My daughter's tiny bed is also popular, lots of things sleep in it.

Dress up clothes, maybe careers like firefighter, doctor, etc, or basic elements like hats, boas, ties.

Search and find books, magnetic or sticker decoration sets/books with scenes, magnetic letters, white board and pens, all the art supplies you can imagine.

Sand toys and a sandbox, or a water table or pool, or outdoor play house.

Duplo blocks, wooden blocks, tinkertoys, Lincoln logs, cardboard brick type stuff - build and be creative.

Tunnels, play houses, caves, forts (... cardboard boxes).

Good luck!

u/edoera · 6 pointsr/btc

Remember "Dubstep": What it used to be before Skrillex. And what happened After Skrillex.

Remember what "Hoverboards" meant before this weird segway wannabe came along: https://www.amazon.com/Hoverboard-Lithium-Free-Two-Wheel-Balancing-Certified/dp/B07BFMYRT8

Remember "Crypto": What it used to mean before Cryptocurrency, and what it means nowadays.

There are plenty of cases like this historically. It's irrelevant how much we want to call Bitcoin Cash "Bitcoin", or how much Bitcoin core people want to sue other forks who uses the name "Bitcoin". At the end of the day, the market decides. And the market is looking good for Bitcoin Cash, so I don't think there's any reason to focus so much too much about the name.

IMO I think it's much better to clearly use the term "Bitcoin Cash", it sounds cooler, in a hipster kind of way (Remember, hipsters reject conformity, that's why they like all the obscure music and stuff. And in the end, all world changing trends start from hipsters). In fact, I do feel a strong parallel between hipsters and /r/BTC (in a non-ironical way).

Nowadays I talk proudly about how Bitcoin original is for newbies and if one's interested in learning more about crypto, they should learn Bitcoin Cash with an open mind. It would be confusing if people kept using both "Bitcoin" and "Bitcoin Cash" to refer to the same thing.

It's a Xootr Mg (http://www.amazon.com/Xootr-Mg-with-Fender-Black/dp/B001LUQGYC) and cost about $270. I actually didn't like it very much... very roomy, but the performance wasn't anything special and it was very heavy and bulky.

I just returned it and instead bought a Razor A5 Lux (http://www.amazon.com/Razor-A5-Lux-Scooter/dp/B004C6BGII) for less than half the cost. I scooted it about 15 miles today all over Washington DC, and it's GREAT — much lighter and more portable than the Xootr.

The Xootrs are very classy. They're like the Rolls Royces of scooters. Razor A5s are like the Honda Civics.

u/requiem_mn · 2 pointsr/electricvehicles

Finally, something I can contribute to here. I recently bought Xiami M365 e-scooter (cost me 425€, here is Amazon link, not how I bought it). I think I have it for a month or two. I logged around 270 km so far. I use it from home to train station, then I use train to city I work in, and then from train station to work. Its something like 2.5 km in each city in each direction. Advantage is that it is relatively light and compact (12.5 kg and the handle folds). It goes up to 25 kmh, battery is specified as making 30 km if you are 75 kg person. It can only carry one person of up to 100 kg, but I believe that even heavier person can use it, especially if you change type of tires.

Now, my impressions, it is perfect for me. I can bring it both to my office, and to my apartment (elevator not working, still not too much hustle). I can bring charger with me anywhere to add some extra mileage from it. It can be stored in car trunk (I was able to put it in trunk of Opel Corsa D, rather small car), thou I would avoid this if it is too hot and sunny outside. It is on a cheaper side, so it does have some problems, but nothing too serious, especially if you are familiar with bikes (changing of tire and staff like that).

Also, now, my whole daily is electrified in a country that usually has 55% electricity generation from renewables, which is nice.

Video that I found to be fair review is this one.

Since I'm guessing you are from states, here are some conversions:

12.5 kg = 27.5 lbs

75 kg = 165 lbs

100 kg = 220 lbs

2.5 km = 1.5 mile

25 kmh = 15.5 mph

30 km = 18.5 miles

425 € = 480 $

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

u/[deleted] · 9 pointsr/ElectricScooters

Honestly, get an M365 like 90% of us on here. It's a solid scooter, lightweight, foldable, and cheap. You can always upgrade, but it checks all the boxes for most of us. There are certainly faster scooters with better range. But for the price, I don't think it's worth it. I love how light the M365 is and you simply don't get additional range without additional weight/battery. If someone can point me to something that rivals the M365 at that pricepoint, I'm all ears.

u/Iceman741 · 4 pointsr/subaru

For those wondering on technique (/u/WYLD-STALLYNS and /u/spyrolll so far):

I used several exposures at 30 seconds each -- I used a camera with manual control for this. By slowly walking around the car during each shot with one of these, the light blended together into an evenly-lit shot.

Don't despair if that light scares you off in terms of price. A good LED worklight like this one can do the job almost as well.

The car was lit with a single shot -- I walked slowly from left to right, around 25 seconds, to light the whole car. It's good to follow the car's bodylines so the light is even.

After that, I took two 30 second shots of the snowbank behind -- waving the light first to the left, then right.

Finally, I combined them in Photoshop. I layered all of the shots on top of one another, and used layer masking.

Finally, I cropped out some garbage and cloned out some specks of light that came from nearby streetlamps. It's not perfect, by any means. Still fun.

PM me for more info if you'd like!

edit: this super quick video by Andrew Link (one of the kings of this method) also helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYXBggMK1Ps

I use the Might D Light- It is bright, magnetic, and rechargeable with a phone usb charger.
https://www.amazon.com/Might-D-Light-LED130-Rechargeable-Folding-Worklight/dp/B002T4AEGK/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1499912062&sr=1-1&keywords=might+d+light+magnetic

I always bring garbage bags, reusable shopping bags, paper towels, wipes, copious amounts of hand sanitizer, and I bring a step ladder with me. I am 5'5 but I cannot climb easily into some of the taller dumpsters. I keep a gallon of water and a first aid kit in the event of cuts. (you will want to clean it out right away). Much of this could be condensed into a backpack too.

Not knowing where you live, I really cannot say what stores would be best. Just gotta keep at it. You will eventually hit a jackpot. I literally check pretty much every dumpster I come across.. haha.

u/IOVERCALLHISTIOCYTES · 2 pointsr/tall

Have one of these

I can stand straight and hold the bars. They're lower than the xootr would be but it's ok.

What do you weigh? I'm 224lbs (weight limit is 220) and it's been fine, and I clear 10mph and hit bumps n all. If you're big another one might be better tho.

U/semiviolentchild 's point is well taken. Can't have any shame and use it.

It was a comment meant partly seriously (see my other comment about CH₄; I'd welcome a reputable source that says that CH₄ quantities in permafrost and below the oceans are actually in the "known" category and not in the "unknown" category), and partly as a tongue-in-cheek reminder that there's more at stake here than whether this single new transportation option proves viable or not.

I'd really like to read a study about the impact of scooters on existing transit systems but I'm sure it's still too early for that. At one point I considered getting one myself as there are some very compact models out there. Having one that I could fold up and take onto a bus would really increase the effective range of my city's bus system (for me, anyway). I don't ride the bus often, but having one similar to this -- which has the incredibly simple design advantage of an extendable handle for wheeling while folded -- would change that. I still think about it.

u/stairmast0r · 4 pointsr/ElectricScooters

I'm guessing you're in the US since you're referencing FFR. What's your current scooter? I don't normally join circlejerks, but the Xiaomi M365 is a pretty good value and it's below your budget at $379 right now on Amazon. Pneumatic tires will provide better grip and ride quality than solid tires, and if you keep the pressure up high enough (depends on your weight, but around 50 PSI), flats are not that big of an issue. The stem wobble is also better in recently produced units, and if it ever gets bad you can buy cheap rubber dampers to tighten it back up.

u/ShakataGaNai · 4 pointsr/ElectricScooters

eScooters are an up & coming market. Supply & Demand will go wild. The Gotrax GXL has been listed on Amazon from $399 to $535, over the last 6 months according to camelcamelcamel. It's currently the cheapest it's been. As they gain more popularity and more people show interest and buy them, more people are willing to build a business around them (be it manufacturing, distribution, retail, etc). More demand causes more supply. More supply typically means lower prices in the long run. etc.

However, eScooters also fall under "high tech" heading (if you ask me). So waiting will ALWAYS have something newer/better/faster/cheaper coming out. But the premium units are probably always going to be at a premium price point.

So I'd recommend: You decide if it'll bring you value now, or you can afford to wait till later.

u/spartysteve98 · 2 pointsr/msu

I have this one because at the time of purchase the Xiaomi could only be found for $600 on aliexpress (it was sketchy + long wait time) whereas I could buy this Glion on amazon that is american made and comes with a 1 year warranty and have it shipped in 2 days. The Glion is great because it folds up nicely and it can stand up straight as well as it’s impossible to get a flat tire. I’ve read that flats on the Xiaomi are a nightmare to change. If I had to do it over and purchase one right now I would get the Xiaomi though especially since it’s only $400 on Amazon.

u/yourfriendlane · 9 pointsr/tipofmytongue

I know exactly what you're talking about. We always called them "turtles," but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the brand name. I'll try my hardest to remember anything else.

Also, only chumps sat on them and wobbled the bars to move. Putting one knee on the seat and pushing with your other foot was the way to go.

AHA! Turns out I was closer than I thought! The Original Flying Turtle!

u/Carpe_DMT · 2 pointsr/videos

I agree, as a fellow pedant this is not a traditional go-kart. In fact I struggled with every word of this title in that none of them are technically accurate. "Man" (child) "Expertly"(who knows) "Drifts" (spins) "Go-Kart" ([this but bigger and with a motor] (https://www.amazon.com/Scooter-Safety-Handles-K-Roo-Sports/dp/B00FJDATHC)) "around"(through, maybe) "Office" (if this is what flies for an office these days then I'm quitting my job).

Still, the video needed a catchy, simple, descriptive title, and all of those words were the best that fit after much deliberation.

u/ParentCo · 2 pointsr/Parenting

I'm a big believer in things that last. My daughter, who is now 3.5 loves this sweet set of bells which we got her for her 2nd birthday. The sound is actually not grating, either. http://www.amazon.com/Schylling-Rainbow-Music-Spin-Bells/dp/B009R7N2M0
And this scooter is worth its weight in gold: http://www.amazon.com/Micro-Mini-Kick-Scooter-Blue/dp/B0068ZRYZU/ref=pd_sim_sg_10?ie=UTF8&refRID=1FQTZ3HMBNP4GVG6QC51
Her kitchen set is a perennial favorite as well.

99% sure they’re the same model, which was also available on Amazon for $500 a while back before they sold out

Edit: looks like they’re back on Amazon for $600 now:

I ended up buying one of the models that Bird uses (M365 here) and have been in love with it. I use it as my main source of transportation now, and it gets me anywhere I need to go in the city.

I think with time the Public opinion on these will change as they're so much cheaper and energy efficient than cars for small trips.

I don't think you'll find any actual counterfeits on Amazon. They probably just mean don't buy something like this.

I'm guessing they don't sell on Amazon because the margins would suck. The suggestion about cashing out your Amazon credit to a gift card was a good one.

> if motorists, cyclists, & scooter people knew & obeyed the laws of their own conveyance & respected those of the others', we'd be safe & content.

Can I have some of what you're on? Belgium might be run by sane people, but Australia certainly isn't, and I won't mention the current US administration, as transport is a state issue.

Obedience to laws only makes sense when the laws do.

The rules are frequently written by people who are only interested in pandering to the whims of large voting groups. And if that happens to result in the deaths of an "out" group, those large voting groups are perfectly OK with that. The laws in Australia, for example, with its shitty the bicycle infrastructure, will kill you if you follow the rules. This is why they are broken all the time. The infrastructure and to a smaller degree good social norms, are vastly more important.

Personally, I'm not a fan of electric scooters and I really loathe these sorry excuses for transport. I have come to the conclusion that I hate them not because they are particularly dangerous, but because they are just so amazingly uncool. Like someone wearing a a bright pink jacket and green velvet pants. It's not harming me, but, oh god, please, just... stop....

The big wheels are very helpful for bumps and cracks in the sidewalk.

u/dapezboy · 3 pointsr/AskNYC

Hey, I own and ride a scooter to work nearly every day. I love it.

As for the laws, I think most people have this covered in the other comments. As for recommendations, I have ridden the GOTRAX Scooter details on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/GOTRAX-GXL-Commuting-Electric-Scooter/dp/B07K9MB6X1HJPMR2&qid=1565400244&s=gateway) - I'd rate this as "good Chinese crap". It's not amazing, it'll last MAYBE two years, and then the battery and motor will start to degrade.

I currently am riding a Minimotors Speedway Mini 4 Pro (https://minimotorsusa.com/collections/speedway/products/speedway-mini-4-pro), which is significantly heavier (30lbs), but I ride it nearly 10 miles each way, to and from work, and still get home with roughly 50% battery. It ships with a limiting wire that makes it only go 15mph but it easily can go 28-30 if you unplug it.

If you have any questions feel free to shoot them my way.

u/Killcraft69 · 1 pointr/ElectricScooters

I seem to be very unlucky with my electric vehicles. I truley do ride them carefully, when I go over bigger bumps i kinda pull up so the tires dont take a big hit and I take smooth roads and stay on bike paths, I never ride it in the rain even though technically I could. I have had an es2 break on me, an acton blink quatro( A $1700 BOARD) break so consistently that it spent more time in SF getting fixed than in my possession. Luckily I am kind of a pain in the ass about getting refunds so I haven't taken a financial hit from these I do take a mental hit when I have to spend hours on the line with tech support and customer service. I just want something that won't break under very normal operating procedures. the m365 seems to be the right one cause there are so many people that own them. I did already purchase the X7 now just cause I need it for transport and the initial answer I got was meh. I'm taking a chance on this one mainly cause the specs are more what I am looking for. Also I would but the xaomi pro if it was on amazon. my es2 refund just came through and it was given as amazon credit which I requested cause it would mean zero processing time and I did need a new one asap. If you're curious I can let you know how it is in a few months or if this one breaks on me too. In that case I would just buy a xaomi once and for all. The current listing on amazon is very odd though It is sold by xaomi but the different buying options weirds me out

You're right, that's what makes Reddit great - people can weigh in with their opinions and have a nice discussion on a variety of topics.

Where I take issue is when a user presents an opinion followed immediately by "don't listen to opinions that are different from mine." ("don't listen to the negative reviews")

In that case I WILL jump in because, like it or not, the data shows a very different picture and OP should read it before making a purchasing decision.

I haven't done a thorough product research and I have not ridden an electric scooter for more than 5 minutes. So I do not have the qualifications or experience to actually make a recommendation:

But here's the cheap option, and I have seen a bunch of these around town:

https://www.amazon.com/GOTRAX-GXL-Commuting-Electric-Scooter/dp/B07K9MB6X1

And here's the luxury option, which I have never seen but is always talked about as being awesome:

https://www.amazon.com/Glion-Foldable-Lightweight-Electric-Scooter/dp/B018KTMOPG/?tag=aboutcom02lifewire-20&ascsubtag=4158652%7Cgoogle.com%7C%7C%7C70%2C9%2C75%2C86%2C29%2C77%7C1%7C

TBF, I don't think they are death traps if ridden with a helmet, and operated in a safe manner by someone with a little practice and who stays aware of traffic.

If r/scooter does include those than I am sorry for the inconvenience, I just thought that one was more moped based

Could be a bit soon, though some companies have already started their black friday sales, like the popular Gotrax electric scooter that is on sale already for $399.

u/beyondthetech · 1 pointr/ElectricScooters

Normally, the weight limit recommendation is directly related to the amount of power it will consume to move the scooter, so the battery usage and maximum range will be affected as a result of that. However, you also have to consider whether or not the frame can handle the additional weight.

That being said, I would more recommend a scooter that has a stronger frame, less welded parts, or just one that specifically states it can accommodate a higher weight limit.

That being said, the Glion Dolly has a max rider limit of 255 lbs. and the Uberscoot is at 265 lbs.

Other than that I agree with what the other guys said. Your issue isn't a motorcycle issue, it's a lack of ABS issue. If you get yourself a bike with ABS you can just grab a fistful or brake and it won't buck you off, no need to worry about the details.

Compare it to the commercially available version of the Scooter that Bird uses.

https://www.amazon.com/Xiaomi-Electric-Long-range-Fold-n-Carry-Ultra-Lightweight/dp/B076KKX4BC

Statement based on this: https://qz.com/1257198/xiaomi-makes-the-bird-and-spin-scooters-taking-over-san-francisco/

They both have the same wattage motor and similar battery capacity (I think).

Bird does have larger wheels (8 inches, pneumatic, compared to 6 inch solid), so in ideal conditions, it's top speed is theoretically going to be slightly higher, but in practical use, they are going to operate similarly.

The Bird version is heavier. It has some functionality to reclaim some lost energy, so battery will likely last longer. It also has app functionality.

The Mi is $649, and the Voyager Ion is $200+.

"tag=slicinc-20" in the link you posted means someone gets a commission every time someone follows that link and purchases that product. Using a link in that format is a bannable offense here. Assuming this was an honest mistake - bear in mind that in the future you want to chop off everything from the question mark onward in the URL to be allowed to share it here. In this case it would just be:

Pretty sure Bird and Scoot use this scooter from Xiaomi. I've been debating between buying this or a Boosted Board vs just Ubering it to my office from the Caltrain.

Lime I think makes their own scooter. Their scooter seriously sucks when it comes to handling bumps on the road.

u/djscsi · 2 pointsr/gadgets

What are the criteria? Has to have a hook and be able to stand up? Do you need rechargeable?

Here's one for $22 that does basically what the snap-on one does although it might not be as stable.

And this kinda ridiculous looking but well-reviewed folding light for $30.

If you're willing to carry it around, a midsize scooter is both faster and more maneuverable than a skateboard or longboard. I use one of these and can get from Rieber Terrace to La Kretz in about 10 minutes. The downhill speed when compared to a board is much higher since you can break much later.

u/broserotops · 7 pointsr/ElectricScooters

I noticed that too on Amazon. I checked the price history using camelcamelcamel and you can see that they periodically jack the price way up for a short amount of time and then slam it back down. I've noticed some price creep like this before on amz but nothing with such huge changes.

I think if you wait a short while it'll go back down.

I have the same scooter that Bird uses and use it for daily commute. If you're not overweight (275+) you should be fine on slight hills and such.

I am above that weight limit and still have enough juice to do about 5 miles daily on a single charge.

I use it to get from Rosi village to Forest Hills and then the reverse commute is North Station to South Station and then Forest Hills to home.

It feels much safer and more comfortable riding in bike lanes than sidewalks, cars are not much of an issue I've found, traffic is usually slower than me eve ant 15-16.5mph

The biggest issue is fixing a patch if you pop a tire. Just take the wheel to a bike shop with a new inner tube (they sell thicker ones on amazon too) - costs about $15 to fix a flat. The reason I dont say DIY is cause it's a fucking PAIN to get the tire back on.

All in all, I love how it's modified my commute. I have done the full North Station to Roslindale commute (9mi in about 55min) went from full charge to 20%, but again, I'm a big guy so you have to think about that when considering distance. 3 miles you should be able to do in 20-25min no problem.

Get a scooter, like one of these razor scooters on Amazon It'll make it a little faster, and it folds up. Last year I commuted on the TTC daily with it, and I took it into class and tucked it under my chair and had no complaints

u/solak9000 · 5 pointsr/Harvard

I just finished my freshman year and I'd recommend getting a Razor scooter. This is the type that I (and most other scooter riders on campus) own. It's not too expensive, although I got mine used from someone in Cambridge on Craigslist (not a bad idea to try looking). The thing with biking is that for the paths of most of the places you'll be going to/from freshman year, you either won't be allowed to bike or it will be inconvenient to do so. There's also the problem of theft that others have mentioned. With a scooter, you can easily carry it around (and put it in the back corner of lecture halls and stuff), and you'll be able to traverse sidewalks, yard pathways, as well as bike lanes.

u/gmazzola · 4 pointsr/flying

I just got back from a month-long camping trip from San Francisco to Alaska. In addition to 150 pounds of camping gear, I carried two folding bikes in a Cessna 172. I removed the rear seats to allow for more cargo space.

I own a Schwinn 20-inch bike and a Dahon Vitesse bike. The Dahon fits nicely in the baggage compartment, though I had to remove its luggage rack to get it through the baggage door. The Schwinn takes some maneuvering, but I was able to load it through the front doors.

It was a little unpleasant to unpack and repack the airplane -- it took about an hour each time, given how much gear I had. But oh man, the folding bikes were invaluable.

If your on-the-ground distances are smaller, and the roads are paved well, I would consider carrying a Razor scooter instead of a folding bike. It doesn't travel as fast, and there's no shock absorbers so your wrists will get tired, but it's about the easiest and most portable ground transportation I own.

u/fratdaddyZC · 10 pointsr/nashville

You can get the Chinese Spyware version on amazon for cheaper. I've considered doing the same thing, but I worry about all of the dumbasses who will vandalize it either accidentally or intentionally

u/JoshPastnerIsMyDad · 7 pointsr/Atlanta

I think scooter skill and etiquette will improve with time. You still have a lot of people riding them for the first time to try them out.

Side note, does anyone have one of these and know how to lock them to bike racks? I'm passively interested in one but the inability to lock them seems devastating.
