I have had over the years several different ways, but the one I use today consists of several portfolio books/binders, three ring binders and ultra pro 9 card pages and two 4k card boxes.

  • In the first small portfolio book like this: Ultra Pro 9-Pocket Black PRO-Binder I keep the true collectors items. These are the special, rare printings or just personally nostalgic cards I've collected over the years. These are NOT for play, I'll proxy the card and play with those. (Ex: Alphas, Betas, Unlimited, Promos, special foils, cards over $100, etc. It's really up to you and what you find meets your collector criteria)
  • In the second small portfolio book (like above) I keep a copy of bench-marking cards. These are cards that I use to compare to others for fakes. I typically try to get two cards of each color, from each set, of those cards that often get proxied and pawned off as real. I take these and a jewelers loupe with me when I am purchasing a collection that I suspect and perform comparisons.
  • In a large portfolio book like this: 12-Pocket Z-Folio LX Trading Card Albums, Black I dedicate to valuable lands (duals, shock, pain, filter, Scars, fetch, strip mine, tron lands, Urza's saga, cabal, man lands, etc etc. you get the idea). I only separate these because I place a high value in collecting lands for every occasion and pride myself on getting a full play set of each.
  • In my three ring binder I have the rest of the rares and valuables I might play with. Example
  • For all other cards, sleeves, counters, dice, etc. I have the 4k bulk card boxes 4 Row I separate by color, artifacts, tokens & gold/multicolor cards, and then divide by commons and uncommons. I keep sections for full art basic lands, foil lands, non-basic lands, etc.
  • I have a 1k Card box for all the basic lands, I try to keep these to a min.
  • I have an old school 1997 multiverse 1k Card box for decks Image, and just expanded in to a second one.

I no longer maintain a trade binder. I did when I was younger and played more and frequently visited FNM and game nights. But now that I have moved in to more of a collector role I only play with close friends maybe once a month, so I don't really trade anymore (not sure if the kids still do these days). My trade binder disappeared when I really embraced selling off unnecessary items and started using buylists almost exclusively.

Since these days I do more buying of collections and selling to fund my own collecting I have a great deal of extra boxes, 5k card storage boxes and binders. These are just to organize the sales. Most of the time I sell them with the bulk and replenish with each purchase. From the collections over the years I've acquired a great deal of starter boxes, deck boxes, dividers, stickers, foam inserts, etc that I use in my own collection and to help organize the purchases. These have been some of the most interesting finds, just seeing what other people use to organize is interesting.

I've also purchased shelving from Home Depot to store my collection and the purchases I have going on. Each shelf is dedicated to shipping materials, empty boxes, my stuff or a purchase.

What I see mostly from the collections I acquire is that most use three ring binders for rares/mythics and either separate by color or just leave it to utter chaos (the latter being the worst as its usually shoes boxes and random plastic tubes full, which damage cards).

Well since you asked.

Get a quality headlamp (like a Trunite TH10) instead of the one you have picked. Don't forget extra batteries and dont store them in the headlamp. I have had those energizer ones and while not bad for around the house or shop they arent very durable and I would want something a bit tougher for out doors. But this is more of just my opinion, the energizer one work an emergency.

You have three different firestarter kits. Stick with a ferror rod like this one and some cotton balls. Then toss in a 5 pack of bic lighters. Dont need to be more complicated then that.

I would pair the wool blanket with a survival blanket. Or even just carry a good sleeping bag. Just depends how cold it gets at night in the areas you travel.

Skip the Titan bracelet and cord and just buy some paracord at a fraction of the cost.

skip the campsnail, most that stuff is will be junk quality and redundant.

Tent stakes but you have a hammock?

Skip the tactical pen and get a couple pencils. Wont dry up and you can sharpen with your knife.

Those food ration packs taste like garbage. They will work but you could pack granola bars, jerky, nuts, rice, etc. Better for morale.

Skip the life straw/filter bottle and get a sawyer water filter. Fraction of the cost and is highly recommended by everyone who uses them including myself. Also get Stainless steel water bottle locally for a couple bucks. Allows you to boil water if you need to.

Get an Genuine Ames Entrenching Tool. from ebay. Anything but the Ames brand are flimsy junk.

I would go with a Fiskars x7 hatchet instead of one you have picked out.

I would suggest a couple tarps as well. 8x10 is a good size. Just get a couple cheap one from the hardware store. They dont need to be fancy.

After all my recommendations my best advice is to go out and practice. None of this stuff will do you any good if you dont know how to use it. There are many good youtube channels to watch as well. Go out on a nice day and practice fire making, water filtering, preparing food. Then spend the night. Next go out on a colder day, maybe a rainy day.

Hope I'm not too late but I found some golf stuff in your price range that your dad may like. This tee set or maybe this one or this ball set. This marker set is nice for when hes playing or maybe these covers, this golf shirt, or this organizer. If you want to spend a little bit more theres always this putting mat for his house. This wallet isn't golf related but I bought my SO a hockey related one for Christmas and its really nice. Hope I could help! If I win I'm dying for these pans

So, here's all the details on how people store Magic cards meant to be played, with links.

The gold standard for the number of Magic cards to store is 75 or 100 double sleeved cards. As long as your container can store this many cards in one section it will be at least useful to the owner. Additionally, no one really likes storing their cards flat like your current box. Cards are much, much easier to retrieve from the container if stored edge on (top or sides exposed as opposed to your front or back, look at the pictures below).

The Boulder deck box by Ultimate guard holds exactly the preferred number of cards, down to sub millimeter tolerance. 100 cards and 75 cards

Ultra pro makes a pretty ubiquitous soft plastic box for 75 cards and 100 cards which does offer a little more wiggle room.

Ultimate guard makes nearly identical boxes. 75 cards, 100 cards.

They call their 75 card boxes 80 card boxes but that's referring to single sleeving and even single sleevers tend to appreciate the extra space for a few ancillary cards like tokens.

Also, we do not double sleeve with penny sleeves but inverted(open end at bottom of card) perfect^1 fit^2 sleeves and with regular^1 sleeves^2 over that.

https://www.tolariancommunitycollege.com/how-to-double-sleeve-your-magic-the-gathering-cards-and-why-mtg/

Being able to hold cards is great but there is also some benefit to being able to hold a whole deck box. The Arkhive is a popular example. It holds snugly 5 x 75 card boulders and 4 x 100 card boulders. It also holds soft plastic boxes but less precisely.

When storing dice they are stored separately from cards. Ultra Pro, Ultimate Guard

Here is what works for me! Hope it helps :)

Long term storage:

I have a small unit that all the supplies live in permanently, which can stay in a closet or under the bed, and having a separate tote for my current project.

For you I'm picturing something like this: https://www.target.com/p/translucent-tote-handbag-shade-shore-153/-/A-53913203?preselect=53752648#lnk=sametab or

https://smile.amazon.com/Clear-Bag-Stadium-Approved-Games-Cross-Body/dp/B01NAJELJ3/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1543006502&sr=8-3-spons&keywords=zipper+tote&psc=1 or

https://www.target.com/p/sterilite-174-clear-plastic-under-bed-storage-bin-clear-with-white-lid-7gal/-/A-13794483 to hold all your extra fabric, hoops, and floss.

I like to wrap my thread and organize by color, I use these for storage:

https://smile.amazon.com/Plastic-Bobbins-Floss-Needlecraft-Organizer/dp/B000BKVMOM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543005340&sr=8-3&keywords=floss+bobbin+storage

It has one section that is a bit bigger than the others, which is where I keep needles, seam rippers, thimbles, etc.

Short term - Project in process:

When I am working on a project, I take all the necessary colors and clip them together using one of these binder rings, example:

https://www.staples.com/Staples-Loose-Leaf-Rings-1-Size-Silver/product_481326

Then I have a particular zipper pouch that I keep everything in for a project. There are all kinds of cute ones out there. I'm currently hunting for a zipper pouch which has an interior zipper pocket as well to hold little scissors and a needle threader. Currently I just use a Klein Tool bag that my SO gave me. The hoop, bundle of floss, scissors, etc all fit in there nicely and make it really easy for your project to be portable. It makes it easy to have a central location where the project lives and everything goes back inside every time.

I disagree that bluetooth sucks personally... The gen 1 and 2 bluetooth headphones were admittedly terrible and had major issues with audio quality, noise, and battery life, but we have come a long way since then.

I recently purchased THESE bluetooth earbuds and I literally will never go back to another pair of in ear headphones ever again.

They cost $25, have a fantastic battery life (7-8 hours of full volume use, I've used them for ~10 hours on one charge at medium volume before they died), and have legitimately the best audio quality from any headphones I have used over the last 5 years. On top of that, they are insanely comfortable, have fantastic noise suppression (not active cancellation, just suppression from the buds resting in your ears), and have a huge range of sound, from deep bass all the way to high treble.

I've never had a pair of headphones that came anywhere close to these.

u/LobsterTaco · 1 pointr/soundtech

These are by no means the BEST bluetooth headphones but I think they are absolutely worth the price. They fit your loud criteria and they fit the jamming them in your ear criteria. They also comes with a ton of different buds and and the part that allows you to fit it to your ear depth.

In conclusion, loud, flexible, sizable, great price.

u/Mor-Rioghan · 0 pointsr/Advice

I'm almost 23 and I never learned to tie my shoes because I was born with an upper limb amputation. Honestly it used to really upset me when I couldn't tie my shoes and others could. Honestly, though? I only have one singular pair of shoes that even HAVE laces, and they zip up the side. As an adult I stopped wearing standard tennis shoes and switched to slip on ones with elastic straps that don't tie but look classy. I started wearing more boots, dress flats, and so on.

That being said, you've got several options.

  1. There are such things as no tie laces. To the untrained eye they look exactly like normal laces and you wouldn't know any different.

    There are these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0186Z5QAO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_glfjDbHS5T5G1

    These: https://storesixty.com/products/easylace-no-tie-elastic-shoelaces

And so many others. There are magnetic options, ones that pull to tighten, etc. Back when I was a kid they were uncommon so I didn't use them but these days they are super popular, heavily marketed, and extremely common in athletic markets.

  2. You can get sneakers like mine that look like they are laced but are actually elastic.

    Like this: https://m.shoes.com/skechers-dynamight-break-through-bungee-lace-sneaker/829911/1816605

    And this: https://m.shoes.com/florsheim-edge-3-eye-oxford/844999/1865161

There are tons of styles and choices.

  3. You can look into resources aimed at adults to teach you. One thing to understand is that you are not alone in this dilemma. MANY people actually have this problem, in fact some things like Dyslexia can actually cause difficulty in learning to tie shoes. You can find sources online that are much more adult friendly and not childish and patronizing by searching for sources geared toward stroke victims, surgery rehab, dyslexia, etc. Don't get stuck on just one method of tying them. The bunny method works for some and not others and the same goes for other methods. Just find what works for you.
u/AdamHorton · 2 pointsr/dominion

I'll link my storage solution because maybe someone will get some use out of it ( /u/TLan718 ?) but I'm not sure it will be a great fit for you.

http://adamhorton.com/flog/dominion-storage/

On the other hand, one of the components I use (the cardboard boxes) may work just fine for your needs:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K41E6K/

You might not need to order these exact boxes from Amazon. Most local game stores will sell you similar boxes of varying sizes for pretty cheap so this may work out better for you.

u/Bath_Time_Kraken · 3 pointsr/Pathfinder_ACG

The “base” box is pretty easy to find, my local comic store has them sometimes but you can also find it here 3200 Count Box

For the small dividers within each row we cannibalized an older box of similar type, though most any other cardboard /box could work. (We had several of these 500 ct Box)

While sleeving is costly, it protects the investment (plus some of us have young kids that like the pictures :p) and also has a nice side effect of having a TON of empty sleeve boxes that make perfect “holders” for stuff.

Have fun making your box!

Cheers.

I was looking for snitch earrings, as my friend does them cheap and they're awesome. They were surprisingly expensive on Amazon though.

First, before I continue, I want to clarify: It's possible for something to have no positives for the consumer at the time of purchase and still have a long term net positive effect.

When Apple removed the floppy drive, this had no benefit for the customer buying the Mac without a floppy drive. But, it helped push anyone making Mac applications toward CDs, and the customers eventually benefited.

When Apple dropped OS 9 compatibility mode, it forced a lot of companies to upgrade their software. (Meanwhile, today, at work, I still support software occasionally that was written for Windows 3.1.)

When Apple refused to support Flash, this had no benefit for the customer at the time of purchase. But it drove third party websites to switch to HTML5, which generally ended up, long term, resulting in a better mobile web experience.

So when I say that I disagree with your assessment that Apple's rationale with this is just to sell expensive earbuds, I don't necessarily think you're wrong that there is zero consumer advantage- at least, at the moment- to removing that port. The customer who buys the iPhone 7 gains little from lacking the port. (Maybe waterproofing and that 100 mah of battery.)

But I also think you're flat out wrong about the motivation. Apple is trying to reproduce their Flash push; as Apple makes up ~30% of the US' smartphone market and ~15% of the world's, they think that by eliminating the headphone jack, they will push the third party market to focus on Bluetooth. They're gambling that within a couple years, we'll see much higher wireless headphone sales and better wireless products.

While I don't agree with them on this as much as I did on Flash- as Gruber put it, "Flash/HTML5 was bad/good. Analog jack/AirPods is meh/good"- I genuinely do believe that Apple's motivation is to move the industry away from wires to wireless. (And if they, in the process, can leverage Beats and the Apple brand to sell wireless headphones, bonus.)

The existence of a $159 earbud is to demonstrate how to solve many of the problems inherent to Bluetooth devices, such as pairing, in a single product that "just works" as Jobs would say. I'd expect to see a lot of third party headphones similar to out outstrip it on price.

(Believe it or not, $159 is a surprisingly reasonable price. There are very few wireless headphones with microphones battery pack cases of that quality in that price range, let alone with the directional beamforming mics and other advantages. Even Kickstarter products are often in that range.)

> Its impact on the final cost of the phone is negligible, the space it takes up is trivial.

Honestly, I think the removal was more for ease-of-waterproofing than anything. The headphone jack is the hardest part to waterproof, and instead of retooling the internal design and possibly taking up more space to waterproof it, they removed it and found the extra space allowed a little more other stuff.

> Now for everyone who doesn't care about Bluetooth buds, which is most people, life involves an adapter.

More realistically, they'll discover Bluetooth buds, which are almost in the $20 range these days.

Hey bud, I have an innistrad plane cube for drafting thats pretty sweet. I can go over what I did if it helps at all.

I started with only Innistrad, great Draft environment to use as a base. Then I replaced all of the vanilla creatures or unplayables with another card from DKA, AVR, or SOI that fit the same role but had a relevent ability or stats. (Ex. a 2/2 zombie for 1b that had no abilities was replaced by a 2 mana zombie in the same rarity with more relevent abilities)

Right now the cube is about:
50% INN
20% DKA
10% AVR
20% SOI

Im trying to recreate a draft environment so I manueally create packs and put them in team bags (https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Poly-Team-Bags/dp/B00095NR1K) to have them ready for each draft.

The slits for common, uncommon and rares is (5/3/1)
I keep flip cards seperate, the are split (3/2/1)

When I make packs I shuffle all the commons together, then repeat for uncommons, rares, and Flip cards.
Each pack is 9 Commons,3 uncommon, 1 rare, 1 flip card, and 1 land. The land could be any nonbasic land from any Innistrad set, put in for fixing and utility.

Right now my rares can be from any set and are pretty balanced, nothings unbeatable.

I also keep the flip cards in clear hypermattes while drafting and playing, but I have a checklist for each in a black sleave for proxying in the deck.

It is alot of sleaves and the cube fits a normal 2 row. But if you buy bulk, its not too bad. Heres where I got mine (https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Barrier-PERFECT-packs-Total/dp/B00T3Z72Q8/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1465811659&sr=1-2&keywords=perfect+fits, https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Hyper-Matte-Sleeves-Sheets/dp/B0177K3VU6/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1465811692&sr=1-1&keywords=kmc+hyper+matte+10)

If you have any questions or I wasnt clear just let me know.

Sorry about the formatting in advance!

Regarding tying your shoes. If it is something you'd like to continue to do, awesome, but if not, I'd like to recommend something I use now that's made my life easier.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186Z5QAO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those are No Tie Shoelaces. If you want or have a friend to help you out, I think it'll make a huge difference for you. May have to work on the proper size of the shoelaces for which ever foot/shoe but I slip my shoes on in 2 seconds and they are comfortably snug to my feet so they never feel like they are going to come off.

Chum's Wallet A slide out place for your most used credit card. Transparency for your ID. Key ring for your keys. And most importantly for me, zippers for your coins. I only grab this (which I hang on a 3M Command Hook) + cell phone on my way out the door in the morning. I used this to replace a Dash 2.0 Minimalist wallet where even modest coin management was a bit of a chore. As an aside, and I travel a bit for business, for receipts, there's CamScanner.

I've long minimized coins by never carrying more than a dollar's worth, trying to turn it into as many quarters as possible (something I learned from my father). If something is $1.28, and all you have is a 10 dollar bill and change, pay $10.28 if you have it, $10.03 if you don't, getting back three quarters. If something is $5.74, pay $5.74, or in lieu of that, $5.24. If you have a lot, many grocers will allow you to turn any amount of coins into gift cards. Then there is tipping. The easiest thing of all is to pay everything with Visa. Every automatic bill paid (like Utilities, Phone, Internet, Water) is one less transaction you have to fuss with, and all your expenses get tracked and turned into pretty charts in places like Mint.com besides. At the end of the month, I enter a value and press a button to automatically transfer it from my bank account to the credit card company.

u/Mask_of_Ice · 16 pointsr/pokemon

There are specific boxes for storing your decks in, and the starter deck might even come with a cardboard box that is designed for that (but it’s usually cheap). No need to go all out on accessories, but if you want you can find pretty cheap Ultra Pro deck boxes in a variety of colors. Here is an example of the generic Ultra Pro box: Ultra Pro 80 Card Deck Box - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002TT3B6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fJTZDbYJVJ7Q8

Another thing I might recommend is card sleeves. These protect your cards in your deck from getting damaged, and generally makes shuffling easier. They can be slippery at first, but once you play with them more they work well. They also come in a variety of colors, which makes it a fun way to personalize your decks! Only use 1 color per deck to avoid obvious cheating though haha: Ultra Pro UPR85604 Eclipse Standard Matte Card Sleeves https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B8CJHTH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bOTZDb50A39NK

Not much fertilizing as it is still fairly young and I didnt know I should be. I did just repot it though so the soil should have some good nutri's (Nutrients) in there or so I would imagine. I water when ever my meter says its dry deep in the soil. (didnt trust the minger method for my first time around.) Yes there are holes in the bottoms of all my containers... im not that noob I did read before i got started lol air temp in the room fluctuates from 74-80. (Im in Las Vegas) but I have a fan in the room if it gets to muggy and I got lucky and my home had an a/c vent in the closet they are in already. Also humidity in that room is usually high to medium even in this dry heat with some things i do.

That's why it's best to invest in another tool and make it super easy for your customer to open their cards. These are just big enough for toploaders to slide into, they are self-adhesive, and they're easy to open. Most LGS should also have them for far less than $4 as well. My LGS sells them for $2.29, right next to the top loaders and penny sleeves.

Things I would consider mandatory equipment on the bike: everything you need to change a tire (don't forget cotter pins), spare tubes (they're really hard to find, as it turns out, when you're on the road, and not everything can be patched) and a small patch kit, and a bottle of oil. Check your oil every time you gas up, and your tire pressure every morning. Fortunately the tire change kit can largely be divvied up between all of you.

Research the climates and weather of the places you're riding through. This, for me, was absolutely, entirely crucial. You don't want to be riding for hours while shivering, hugging the tank as close as possible to keep warm. And the "hand on the headers" trick is tough to do on KLRs (at least, I think it is) because the engine is so buried.

I'll echo those that have said "less is more" when it comes to equipment. Focus on things with multiple uses: for example, an all-stainless water bottle that you can heat directly on a fire. Packing up the campsite can take a decent amount of time (though I guess it's better if you're not going solo; more hands to spread the work around) so I got pretty good at the little tricks (ex: you can put water directly in the oatmeal packet and then the only thing you have to clean is a spoon). You'd be amazed how important food and water strategy can be.

The seat is uncomfortable (your ass will hate you). Your back might not be too happy either, especially if you're riding with a backpack.

Don't forget a knife. Tarps are awesome -- I had great weather and ended up sleeping under the stars in a blanket/tarp burrito more nights than not. For that purpose I specifically recommend something like this, which is a ruggedized emergency blanket type dealio with one side reflective and one side olive. Again, knowing weather patterns ahead of time is crucial for stuff like this.

heres my dog album

I have two pitbulls, had a third till she got sick and had to be put down :( and an australian shephard who is strong enough to pull both my pits around when they play tug of war. i know exactly what toys last the longest.

This ball is by far their favorite and lasts until we lose them. your dog will rip off the feet, the horns and the squeeker but the ball part will last forever!

Other pit owners claim this will last forever it took my dogs less than a minute to rip it open and rip out the stuffing. however, the outside has lasted a very long time! so if you dont mind it being split open it should last.

if i see a garage sale or go to a thrift store ill pick up a basket ball the dogs pop it immediately and it gets ripped apart but the majority of it has lasted a long time

if you go grocery shopping they have beef bones im pretty sure that what their called. but they not only feed your dog but the bones last a long time too.

if i win, the tick twister would be great since i live in the woods and its tick season.

My preferred methods:

  1. Put unsleeved cards in a Team Bag. Place a top loader on the front and the back (the cards are sandwiched between the 2 toploaders). I use two pieces of Painter's Tape, one wraps around vertically and one wraps around horizontally. I send cards like this to buylist and seems to work well, since most vendors do not like individually sleeved cards.

  2. Put cards in perfect fits, then put them in a Clear Hinged Box. They make different sizes depending on how many cards you need to send. I like to put them in sleeves because the cards rattle around in the boxes. Not sure if it actually causes any damage, but the sleeves make me feel better.

I am not a big fan of shoving a bunch of cards in a penny sleeve, which is another common solution. I've received cards like this, and one thing that happens is that either the front or the back card slips out a little, then the pressure from the other cards creates an indentation in the card. It's happened to me more than once.

If you're prioritizing price and durability, the Spalding NBA Street ball is a decent choice: https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-NBA-Street-Basketball-Official/dp/B0009VELG4/ref=sr_1_4?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1537646004&sr=1-4&keywords=outdoor+basketball

It's only like $15. It's rubber, so it's definitely gonna feel "cheaper" than a nice indoor-only ball, but it's made to be played outside and shouldn't get messed up from snow and ice. Should also be fairly easy to grip even if it gets somewhat wet.

Another option is an indoor/outdoor basketball like this: https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-NBA-Indoor-Outdoor-Basketball/dp/B000A7OUE0

About $30, and will feel more similar to an indoor game ball, if that's important to you. I suspect that ball gets a little more slippery when wet.

u/TommyNookah · 1 pointr/AGOTBoardGame

Do you mean one sleeve specifically to store 7 cards between games?

That's pretty specific; I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like that. If you want to protect your cards you might consider getting deck protectors for each individual card and then getting a box to store them in, although I'm not actually sure if the house cards fit into deck protectors.

Hope this helps.

The EFX one is pretty good (here's it at Amazon.com), but I think the best value is easily The Black Series stormtrooper helmet, which is being released on Force Friday (September 30). It's even based on the stormtrooper helmets from Rogue One (check out this comparison by "spacebob" on the RPF), and you can already pre-order it from a few places (example). The only problems I can see with it are that the lenses look a little too transparent and Hasbro might find a way to make another surprisingly-terrible voice changer feature.

pffft, after sleeving I can barely fit everything in the box if I use dividers with that insert and separate everything out. Not sure why everyone was excited because they "finally made a decent insert". For an LCG, LOL. It's as pointless as buying a one bedroom house before having triplets. And fostering several dogs. While your brother moves in. And you bought a pony.

Gonna go the same route I did for Lord of the Rings: A binder for each aspect and then card boxes for heroes and villains.

Aside from the actual boards, you could probably organize almost everything into something like these. The 4-row box will fit on the Kallax shelf nicely. I do this for all of my games that are almost entirely cards. Bag the chits in there with the cards. You could easily fit 4-8 games in one of these boxes as long as it doesn't have any really large components. Write what games you're storing in there on the boxes. Then file all the boards alphabetically with some kind of tab divider.

If you hold it up high, you'll be able to see it in the live streams. But it's not so high that you're getting in the way of others when you set it down since it's as tall as you are basically.

Well, at least most of #3 is reusable from season to season. I'm in close to $400 on my tailgate gear, but I've put it together over several seasons. It's not too bad, you get a

  • Coleman Roadtrip XLE - $125 plus tax
  • Cosco folding table - $38 plus tax
  • Cooler - $30-40 for something decent by coleman or rubbermaid, $50 wth wheels
  • Flagpole - $35 plus another $30-50 for flags - it's a must so you can find your car more easily
  • Canopy - $80, I've been using this model for 4 years now with no issues.
  • Collapsible chairs, various utensils, canopy weights, containers, etc. that are essentially tailgate-only, maybe occasionally used for camping

Now, food and beer is another story - for 5 home games and a neutral site, I'd say we average $75-100 per game on refreshments. Craft beer costs money, and I only do frozen burgers and dogs 2 game per season; I usually barbecue a pork shoulder and ribs the other 3 and just reheat them on the grill top; the ribs add up quickly, and so do sides.

Next additions are some tailgate games - I'd like to build cornhole boards or maybe ladder ball, but i might need to buy a pickup to fit all this stuff. We're already to the point that I use a hitch-mounted cargo carrier on the wife's SUV since we can only put the 3rd row of seats down with 2 kids in car seats and a stroller taking up space in the trunk.

I only keep 4 of any given card, aka a ‘playset’. So I sort the cards by card number, which just so happens to be by color. I label the front of the 4-row box and also sort by set by date. I keep all of the commons, uncommons, lands, and tokens separate from the rares and mythics., that way the more valuable stuff is in one place. Therefore, if I need a specific card, I know exactly where it is.

I keep all of my trades that are above $1 in binders, keeping standard cards separate from modern/legacy/commander. I keep all bulk rares, that are not in standard, in a box, as it usually isn’t a good idea to carry around bulk to trade.

I just got two of these and they're working really well. The plants are also turning a really pretty color.

I've read (I'll try to find where) that 6500k color temperature is great for growing succulents, but it doesn't promote flowering, you'd have to add in some with a lower color temperature, but the colored LED lights have the right colors for both growth and flowering. Some of the fancier/more expensive LED grow light even have a switch to control if you want the flowering lights on, the grow lights on, or both. Like this one.

  3. Totems are sorta vague in their limitations. I used a telescoping pole similar to this, and got past security with no issue. Once inside I extended it out further so it was far above the crowd.

This one. Just a warning if you order it from Amazon. They ship it unassembled and flat so it arrives in a box that could fit a person, comfortably (not that I would recommend shipping a person in it)

even the cheap ones can do a better job than no blanket at all and just leaving the patient lying on the ground uncovered. also handy if it's raining. i don't know many bikers carrying umbrellas around on their bikes.

these survival blankets are awesome but take up more space.

OP is talking about a stopgap measure for his bike, and space is at a premium. while those blankets might be a gimmick in the eyes of campers and sportsmen, in this particular situation it's way way better than nothing at all. that's all I'm saying.

If you're look for some plastic baggies for cards, you can get something called "team bag". something like from ultra pro. They are also good for shipping cards.

Making boxes is pretty easy, all you need is a showbox, some cardbox and maybe glue or a stapler for a decent low budget box. Take a shoebox and cut some cardboard stripes as long and high as the shoebox. Attach them them to the ground of the box so that you get lanes that are wide enough to keep Magic cards.

Should look like one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Monster-Storage-Holds-trading/dp/B000K41E6K/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1522747118&sr=8-9&keywords=magic+card+box

u/TaquitoBandit · 4 pointsr/Netrunner

I had binders for a while, but got really lazy about keeping it organized. Now I switched to a cardboard box and am much happier. I keep everything sorted by faction and alphabetically and can find things quickly with ease. Since my collection doesn't completely fill up the box, I also store my Lord of the Rings LCG cards in there, too.

Not the slimmest you could find but it's functional and secure with two zippers and importantly it has an integral keychain and a pocket for such keys. For me it's a must since I can use one Tile to find both my keys and the wallet (and because I still struggle with clutter I search for it quite often)

This is what I just recently bought for forest and was recommended by several people here: http://amzn.com/B000OWNMRM

It's a telescoping flagpole with stand (you drive your car over it to keep it standing). It's for the campsite which I wasn't sure if that's what you were asking.

If you're looking for a flag pole for in the forest I think a telescoping lightbulb inserter for tall ceilings could easily be converted into something more portable.

Depending on your budget, 3 of either the Pendulum structure deck, Salamangreat structure deck or Zombie structure deck (links below). The key is to get 3 of the same one so he can learn to build a semi consistent and decent deck. I would also suggest a small deck box and a pack of sleeves. If your budget isn't towards the $40 range (roughly what 3 structure decks, sleeves and a deck box would run you after tax) then I would just get 1 structure deck along with the sleeves and deck box.

One of these for each class: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002TT3B6

And then another 4 in different colors for each player. Store your unlocked abilities/perks in your player box, locked ones stay in the class box. You can even fit your mini box in these. Except Two-Minis, of course.

Check your local game stores, or even Walmart, first, as it will probably be a lot cheaper there.

You are looking for Ultra Pro Team Bags . I just bought some recently. I haven't drafted with them yet so I can't say if they work well or not. I put a token at the front of each pack so you can't see what the first card is.

I pre-make my packs, it is totally worth it, it speeds up the draft a lot. It gives you the option of doing some construction (like putting 2 of each color in each pack, or a land in every pack, or whatever). It takes a little bit of time, but I just do it while watching TV, it doesn't take a lot of mental power to do.

u/wantonviolins · 1 pointr/pkmntcgcollections

Well, I use these and fill in the gaps with deck boxes and similarly sized/shaped objects so cards don't fall over or move around too much.
Edit: Oh, and I have about ten of these boxes. I really ought to finish sorting and sell off a lot of my bulk. Nobody needs 32+ copies of Fossil Grimer.

always start close by the hoop to work on your form once you enter the park, shooting at the hashmarks around the FT line helped me gain more consistency and I instantly felt more confident shooting long range, i continue to do this once I get to the park. once you do that, shoot a lot of mid-range jumpers then start at the corner or straightaway for threes. just remember to always start real close to the hoop once you enter the park or gym. I also needed an adjustment period when I went from inside to outside, it could be a mental thing. I also always end my sessions with 3-5 straight free throw makes and that always helped me.

for a ball, i've always liked this one https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Parent-63-249-parent-NBA-Street-Basketball-x/dp/B0009VELG4?th=1 but i know some people don't.
