Thanks- I've helped friends get their albums out, and now that I've worked on mine, I figured it would be good to document all the steps I had to take to do it. It's not hard, but there are a lot of little things that you want to make sure get taken care of.
Not fair! That's some tricky stuff mainly because it's not technically "music" but I'll do my best to find them. I guess in this sense both our statements are true because I can't prove that this is easily torrentable, though when you said "obscure" I didn't think you meant stuff this obscure.
edit: ok you got me here! Here's what I found though.
Cliff Arquettes albums can be found easily in vinyl format. If you bought them and had them mailed to me I would gladly rip them to mp3 or flac and send them to you if you don't have a record player.
As for Don Imus, looking into it. You're into some really really obscure stuff!
So basically, I get your point. This stuff clearly wasn't on any torrent site, but to be reasonble, it's not realy something that anybody except for the rare fan like you would be interested in using the bandwidth to share with other people on the internet. The type of obscure stuff that I look for is relatively unknown ambient music, black metal bands, classical albums, etc. but as far as something as random as Charlie Weaver, you'll have to look into the vinyl scene to find that stuff. As someone who listens primarily to vinyl, I think with your tastes you would have a lot of fun with it. Nw, if you were to be one of the chosen ones to gain access to What.CD's torrent database, you might likely find what you're looking for. But good luck with that.
bigapple.
I hope you enjoy your trip! I've been once and I loved it! I hope to go back one day or live there. Have funn!
Thanks for the contest! If I win I would like Andy and his Grandmother, the new Andy Kaufman album! I am a huge fan of his and he is one of my biggest idols! Here's the link and thanks!

Edit: Cd not vinyl
I'm a student too and I'm only in my first year but I'm also freaked out about this ;~;
Thanks for the contest o:
Watts' "Why Shit So Crazy" cd and dvd (which features Fuck Shit Stack) of live shows from around the Brooklyn area is absolutely genius. He's very absurd in his comedy, forthright in his lifestyle, and insightful and genuine with a lot of his songs. I also found his flow of conscious style and wordplay/association to be quite artistic. With a lot of playful editing and visual stylization, I think he really invites a deeper look at the material and it's potential meaning as a work of art, and boy is there a lot with which to work.
I rave, but I do think it's that good and have spent a lot of time watching it and thinking about it. To be honest, it's a wonderful stoner film (or while tripping) as well because of the combination of comedy, music, visuals, and shortish 53 minute length, although by no means exclusively so. I believe it's up on youtube in parts if you do a little searching. I obviously recommend supporting the artist--I did--so here's an amazon link, both of them together for $11:

Tig Notaro's is hands down the best comedy album I've ever heard. It's funny yes, very funny, but its the best because I honestly think its what comedy is supposed to be.
For those who don't know, Tig was going through a rough patch. With relationships, and deaths close to her, and then she got cancer.
And then TWO WEEKS LATER she got on stage and talked about it. Laughed in its face.
Amazing.
Edit: Here's an Amazon link. Its on iTunes and shit too. http://www.amazon.com/Live-Tig-Notaro/dp/B00AR9GK8A
"Here's Tom with the weather..." I love that Tool used the Hicks stuff on Ænima.
EDIT: This thread has inspired me to purchase this - I had a friend i worked with YEARS ago who told me about "Ninja Bachelor Party" and this has the entire film. awesome.

This is where the idea came from. Maybe. Probably.
Great album. Would recommend song railroad bill. Super meta. Also so far so good on his album proud dad.
Not a sleepwalker myself, but if you're looking for an awesome and interesting story about sleepwalking, check out Mike Birbiglia's live comedy album Sleepwalk With Me, which is also now an indie movie by the same name. Check out the trailer here.
I love lasagna! you know who else? Garfield loves lasagna! This album
Thanks!
What about Andy Daly? His "Nine Sweaters" series involved silly costumes and was hilarious: http://www.amazon.com/Nine-Sweaters-Andrew-Daly/dp/B00G5AT5BE
Or Seth Galifianakis? Or the Walsh Brothers? Or any live Comedy Bang Bang show?
There's a ton of great silly costume comedy.
Could have been a straight steal... we'll never know. In any case, if you are a stand-up comedy fan definitely check out the Bobcat (comeback?) album linked above... great stuff.
Edit: link to album since the link above is just a picture
Just ordered his new album Unreleased. It should be golden! So glad I got the chance to see him perform before he passed on. I miss him so much, he was always my favorite guest on O and A and was such a brilliant speaker.
His new album is here:

Haha. Its funny, but is your friend Nick Swardson? Cause that's one of his first jokes on the Party CD.
EDIT
Grammar.
That joke formed the title of one of his comedy albums of a live set he did, which is pretty good:
I Don't Mean to Insult You, But You Look Like Bobcat Goldthwait
One bit I remember from it had Bobcat talking about filming that scene from Blow when Johnny Depp and Paul Reubens got him to sample their completely pure product. Him and Depp were comparing recent run-ins with the law (Depp with some Drunk & Disorderly thing, Goldthwait for accidentally starting a fire while doing a guest spot on the Tonight Show), and they were like, “Probation. You?” “Community Service.” Then they look at Reubens: “Anywaaaayyysss...”
Some of that (guess which parts!) was from his album I don't mean to insult you but you look like Bobcat Goldthwaith
Some good stuff on there.
Pretty sure he has a new comedy album out.

Emilie Autumn [Thank God I'm Pretty] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smZgEUqlBLY)
Not sure if it'll be your kind of music but I'll keep suggesting things as I learn more about your favorite music!
And this is a comedy album by Kathy Griffin from my wishlist [http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002OVED74/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=228KZ46X0S7PO&coliid=IT4CL9JNX7LQ6] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002OVED74/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=228KZ46X0S7PO&coliid=IT4CL9JNX7LQ6)
Check out Jerry Seinfeld on Comedy. Even if his comedic style isn't your thing, he's got an amazing work ethic when it comes to the art.

CD Baby

Take your pick! I'm pretty sure both are offering MP3 downloads with the CD, Amazon through their AutoRip thing and CD Baby sends a code.
Lets not forget about his first cd as well. It comes with a dvd with his original Comedy Central presents and some old music videos.

Yes. Yes. He did. http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Mean-Insult-Bobcat-Goldthwait/dp/B0000C0FJH
He's a Jewish musician now. Long link below, if it doesn't work just Google "My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs"

There’s a half hour Comedy Central special that precedes Words Words Words. It’s available on the DVD that accompanies this CD, which was all of the songs Bo wrote in high school. The DVD also has all of his old YouTube videos from his bedroom.

Bobcat Goldthwait actually named his CD, "I don't mean to insult you, but you look like Bobcat Goldthwait"

CD and DVD for $10. I've had it for a while. It's good stuff.
Don't call it a comeback.
No, really. Don't. He's doing a benefit concert to help Thomas' nephew, not doing another movie or anything. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome, but this is only slightly more of a return than his CD of klezmer music.

I've heard it off of his CD Mitch All Together.
Relevant from Bobcat Goldthwait: http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Mean-Insult-Bobcat-Goldthwait/dp/B0000C0FJH
He did release another album just this year.
It kind of already is
It's on YouTube, but the quality isn't the greatest. The (higher quality) DVD is included if you buy the Mitch All Together CD, though.
