Seriously, go out and buy a couple of wall-mounted hanger organizers (link), I mounted a couple in my closet, and they are a lifesaver. I have one for regular hangers, and one for tank top hangers with the indents on the sides. So I don’t have a bunch of empty hangers amongst my clothes or on the floor. It’s super satisfying.

Sure, here is my whole setup for my apartment:
Washing Machine
Pants drying stand
Everything else drying stand
Sock hanger
drip dry hangers
Pants hangers - although I got my hangers at WalMart and they have rubber on the clips

In retrospect I would actualy recommend getting this or the tri-arm rack and this as the big drying rack thing is a bit overkill when you have the sock hanger. You could get two sock hangers and hang them on the side of the shirt rack and dry everything you need in less space without having to fold anything over a bar, causing it to dry slower.

Also in the other thread it was recommended that I use all natural soaps instead of the generic detergent. I think thats it.

I like the washer, overall, it does its cycles so fast that I don't really have time to play games or something requiring concentration. I have been wearing the clothes washed in it for the past week and after the initial stiffness wears off they don't seem any different from a regular wash.

My one complaint is that the hoses are cheap, so I might figure out a replacement for those sometime next month. Also, I had to go to youtube to figure out how to use it properly

I have velvet hangers and bought clip attachments like this for pants/skirts/slidey tops. I like the freedom that the cops give (found I like using 3 for some items), and the velvet hangers really save space. I bought mine at costco, but picked black so that if I needed to add more, I could get them anywhere and they would mostly match.

These are really cheap and easy for lingerie, scarves, and even necklaces.

And these may be a cheap solution for folded clothes. Also easier to move than furniture later.

I love it, I can usually run 4 USBs of smaller power sizes at once (such as my keyboard and mouse, and my phone charger). I got it on Amazon, here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJTJTGN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The best thing about it is if I don't want to overload anything but also don't want to go through the trouble of unplugging stuff and plugging in others, I can just click the button on top to turn on/off that specific plug :)

  1. Screw in a couple of heavy duty d-rings on the back of the mirror the same distance down from the top (to ensure it hangs level).
  2. Measure the distance between the d-rings
  3. Use a stud finder to find studs in desired hanging location
  4. Use a level and mark the same distance on the wall (hopefully lining up with studs, otherwise use toggle anchors if needed)
  5. Drill in proper screws in marked locations on wall
  6. Hang mirror with D-rings on screws and enjoy the view!

I use velvet hangers. I don't have these exact ones, but they're pretty close: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IRHUV6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_h.TQAbJHKPDSZ

You're supposed to hang them by the feet. HERE YOU GO

Benefits of hanging them by the feet:

  1. The feet are the strongest part of the wader and puts the least amount of stress on seams and stitches.
  2. After cleaning, all water will drain out and off of the wader. Nothing will collect in the boots. Dry waders resist mold and mildew.
  3. Dust, debris, mold spores (see previous point) will not collect inside of the waders.
  4. Spiders that would have hidden deep inside of an upright boot, will instead build their web near the opening. Thus, they are easier to remove.
  5. Retains their shape. Hanging larger waders by their suspenders will distort the shape of the waders. Standing shorter waders will cause them to collapse.
  6. Makes a nice bat house. (Ok, I made that one up)

Edit to say that when I hang my waders by the feet in the garage, my wife still screams when she turns on the light. So, that's still a good reason.

Keyhole brackets, dude. They'd be perfect for you.

I think you're right, and I wouldn't want to screw with the shape of the dress on the day of! I think I'm going to go for this antique feeling hanger. It becomes back in stock on my wedding day. It's like meant to be?? Someone posted a photo of their dress hanging on it, and it's gorg!

For shirts and sweaters with a small neck, so you don't have to stretch the neck to get the other side in... assuming you don't want to take the extra few seconds to insert/remove the hanger from the bottom.

Seems like it's been holding something heavy for a long time that the hook support has deformed. The hook should still be in the center, otherwise one side hangs lower than the other, and the higher shoulder would have a larger "shoulder bump".

Here's a more modern designed one on Amazon.

The best ones according to TheSweetHome are Proman Products KSA9030. A cheaper, lower quality alternative is AmazonBasics Suit Hanger, which work for shirts and other clothes despite the name.

u/jiyounglife · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I use these: http://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-6672-2396-5-Sure-Grip-Collection-Hangers/dp/B001I0AZN8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1464582906&sr=8-3&keywords=hanger+with+grip

They're good for the most part, I use wooden hangers for my thick/heavy coats, velvet for dresses and shirts, and these for my formal clothing: dress pant+jacket.

u/GodOfAtheism · 2 pointsr/circlebroke

Bought my buddies Banana racks to use with their headphones for Xmas, both seemed to like them. Got the special edition of DMC4 from one of them, the other is going to clean my headlights since he's broke and I'm lazy.

Good times all around.
