Google this and read all the articles you can to find what works for you. It's very manageable, a little like a circus but keep a good attitude and you will fly fine, lots of good comments here already!

Our items: Carry-on with laptop, diaper-bag backpack, and a Coleman soft cooler to keep milk frozen + other food, **stroller (Summer-infant 3D-flip, awesome stroller!), and Ergobaby baby carrier!

Security: Read the websites and pack according to the rules, have one of you (mom) can carry all the baby stuff. Be very nice to them, they are doing their jobs, and will help you through, the stroller may be x-rayed. One of you will walk through with the baby, make sure you don't ding if you can avoid it to make life easier.

Flight: Boarding: Pre-board! Wear the baby aboard in an Ergobaby or other carrier. This gives you ability to bring a carry-on, get your boarding passes/id, carry stroller, etc. Gate-check the stroller using a bag: https://www.amazon.com/Childress-Travel-Standard-Double-Strollers/dp/B003554H9M

Flight: Entertain, feed, snuggle, sleep, bounce, etc. Even learning the parts of the plane can be entertainment like opening the tray, armrests, etc. Obviously attempt to restrain jr from kicking! We didn't have to walk the baby up and down the aisle, but some parents do that, do whatever works.

Flight/Changing: I change the baby on the plane, and have those blue plastic diaper bags and fill one with wipes and put that and a diaper in my pocket, and take an extra to throw out the smelly diaper. No need to bring a full diaper bag. The baby may slide around during turbulence, and laugh, be prepared. :)

Layover: There are often kids play stations around, if not there's lots for a 7mo to be entertained with in the real world. Stroller is great for naps.

Time changes: Switch to the new time right away and hold as best as possible, there will be a transition period so just go with it.

We've done a good bit, always been fine.

In no particular order:

1. Snuza Hero (SE). Was $120 when I bought it, looks like it's gone down to $100. Really helped me sleep soundly knowing we'd be alerted if anything stopped baby's breathing. We had a few false alarms where it simply became detached from her diaper, so it definitely works.
   
2. 7 A.M. Enfant Nido. So, this was not actually a splurge at all because I somehow lucked out and found it on clearance for $18, but I would happily pay full price ($60) knowing how well it worked for us. It is designed to be safe to use in the car seat (nothing touches the straps at all). My daughter was toasty warm all winter long. We live in Michigan and get a lot of snow. This product was invaluable for me.
   
3. Solly Baby Wrap. ($65) There are cheaper wrap carriers out there. This one was the best I tried. I loved this product so much. I'm actually going to have a hard time not buying a second one in another color 😂
   
4. Uppababy Vista Stroller. ($930) We had another (cheaper) stroller at first, but I ended up selling it and buying this one before my baby turned one. I wish we'd just gone with this from the get-go. The ride is incredibly smooth and the quality is amazing.
   
5. Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Monitor. ($165) I actually thought we could get away with no baby monitor at all because our house is so small. It's true, it's not a *necessity*, but when we went to visit my MIL and she had purchased a monitor to use at her house while we were there (for 3 weeks). It was so nice having it that I purchased this one as soon as we got home. I didn't realize how much freedom it allows you (I can go have tea on the back porch, or do a bit of gardening, or go run on the treadmill downstairs, all without worrying that I won't hear the baby waking up) until I lived with one first hand. We survived just fine for over a year without one, but I could have been so much more productive with it. This time around, I'm getting an add on camera for this unit to put in our room (where new baby will sleep). The original camera will stay in my toddler's room.

You could honestly go either way.

Strollers check for free and a big bag to keep it in will make this a breeze. It will give her an easy place to nap if you have long layovers, or while waiting to check your baggage or go through security. There are $20 ones that hold up to 40lbs - which might be small, but could work for the trip. If she were younger, there are some awesome 200+ ones that collapse super small, and are really well built - but I don't think that makes sense for your trip.

Downsides: it's a manageable trip. You could focus on ways to strap you suitcases/bags together so they can be handled by one person, letting the other manage the 4 year-old. These straps or products would be helpful even without a kid. You can give her a backpack to be responsible for and use this as practice travel for when she's older and you can't hold her. Plus, she's at the top end of most strollers - and only a handful of cheap ones will fit her. This will probably be a one-time-use stroller, which seems wasteful.

To decide: I'd think about how she does with trips going shopping, walks in the park. I'd also look at your lay-over time (if it's short, a stroller will be faster. If it's really long, you might appreciate the place for her to sit). I'd look at what time you're traveling - is it when she's normally sleeping (stroller would be nice) or at her most pleasant active time (she probably won't need it).

The thing that tips me towards "bring it" is thinking about how we used ours when traveling with a 10 month old. She wanted to be held through one of our layovers - did not want to go in the stroller. I just piled our backpacks and one of the carry-ons on the stroller, and it was super easy for one adult to handle all the luggage while the other carried the child. If I had a couple of weeks, I'd swing by local consignment kid's stores to see if any had some on hand.

Everyone is different. Some really like the diaper genie. I don't because it's annoying. I also use our changing tables but many don't.

Things I didn’t know I needed:

•Bottle Drying Rack This probably seems obvious, but when we didn’t get this from our showers we were like... idk why we can’t just use a towel??

•Safe way to cosleep My husband built a BEAUTIFUL Sidecar Crib, but it was attached on my side of the bed and it took 2.5 weeks for me to have healed enough to climb in bed around it safely with the baby. This way, I didn’t have to bend over to pick up baby or even spit up to check on/soothe him.

•Lactation Suppliment My lactation consultant approved. This one worked well in my breakfast tea.

•Better flanges My poor nipples were so sore and the flames that come with the Medela... well I’m not sure who they’re supposed to fit but not me. My doula practically ordered these for me. GAME CHANGER.

•Pumping bra I was cutting holes in sports bras. This is better.

•Nipple Shells Another kind reddittor sent me in the direction of this AMAZING INVENTION after I posted a photo of ice packs tied to my nipples with a burp cloth because I refused to wear a shirt my nipples hurt so bad. I will be purchasing these for EVERY PREGNANT WOMAN FOREVER. They keep your nipples dry, collect drips, apply counter pressure to keep your nipples shaped correctly for latching, and most importantly omg nothing touches the precious nips and you can wear a shirt!!

•Car mirror

Yeah, the more I thought about it that way, the more comfortable I was buying a seat for our LO on our recent trip. I completely understand wanting to avoid the cost of an extra seat, but it is weird that you can just hold a baby and have to store away your bags.

With that mindset, we brought our car seat on board and strapped our 4 month old in, and left her strapped in for takeoff and landing (statistically, that's the most likely time for any injuries. When you're cruising at altitude, you're really really likely to be fine. Granted, you're really really likely to be fine during any flight, but if there's a risky period, it's take off and landing). Anytime she was in the seat for sleeping, she was buckled in.

The seat is a little cumbersome, sure, but it's really like 5 minutes of carrying it between boarding and leaving the plane. And you can just use the seatbelt to strap it in (directions in the manual).

We boarded early and I fed her while everyone else was boarding (it was helpful to be in the back rows for this). Then I buckled her in. On the 4 take offs we experienced, she fell asleep as soon as the jet engines turned on (another benefit to being in the back). Once while she was a tiny bit fussy during a landing, I alternated between giving her a pacifier and my knuckle to suck on while shaking a new toy in front of her.

We brought our stroller, put the car seat on it for walking around the airports and then gate-checked it in a bag (http://www.amazon.com/J-L-Childress-Standard-Double-Strollers/dp/B003554H9M). Again, it was cumbersome for like 5-10 minutes during security and at the gate, but we had to walk a ton through the airport and it was nice to have it then.

As far as stuff to bring - new toys, multiple pacifiers, diapers/wipes/change of clothes. And try to limit your luggage and bring things you can wear on your back!

We just flew Delta with my son last week. They were great with our luggage, but I'd still recommend putting your checked items in a bag. There's just so much... crap... and debris... and elements on the plane.

For our umbrella stroller (Summer Infant 3D Lite) I used this check bag and it worked great. We wheeled my son around the airport in the stroller once we got through TSA and right up to the gate - stuffed it in the bag and left it at the door. It was waiting there for us when we got off the plane.

Sounds like you're taking a full sized stroller/travel system? I'd go with this bag for the stroller, and then this one for the bucket seat.

The bags are super thin, so they're not going to protect your items if they get tossed around - but they will save the fabric from grease/oil/gunk.

I love our City Mini GT - it's really easy to maneuver, incredibly easy to fold, has the quick snap car seat adapters for Britax car seats, and is not too heavy for travel. We also use the Manito Elegance Alpha rain cover ( Manito Elegance Plus Stroller Weather Shield / Rain Cover (Blue - 5 Available Colors) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007IVMPCK/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_dd4Pub1BA8HRE) to help keep out the cold. It's not cheap, but works amazingly well (both for the cold of New York and the rain of Seattle). Between that and the baby sleeping bag (similar to the JJ Cole BundleMe) we were given by a friend, our little one stays very warm on winter outings.

C5-7 quadriplegic. If he's a Para, chances are he's got more function than I... If I can figure it out, surely he can; just get one in his hands and let him play. If not yours, that's what store demo units are for.

So I looked all over for cupholders that clip, including the ones you posted above.

The issue I ended up having was that those specific ones are very small and finding large ones like that are almost impossible. The second issue is that if they are not attached then they can easily slide out from under the topper. I bought three different clip-style cupholders that were the best I could find and all three ended up being sub-par and not practical.

I ended up using these and they are absolutely perfect. Super sturdy, large and they can be placed on the table. You can even use them with wine glasses.

Zero spills so far after more than a dozen game nights.

Pick up some big, cheap carabiners from Amazon. Often sold as "mommy hooks". They work great for quickly and easily connecting a bunch of tubes together without having a mess of life jacket straps. Also work great work getting a couple pairs of sandals securely stowed.

My friend just showed me her 7AM Enfant Nido . I just bought one!

It’s super safe for car seat (doesn’t go between baby and straps) and in about 20-30 degree weather, she put her baby in with a long sleeved onesie and pants, the Nido, and he was soooo toasty warm. Actually a bit sweaty if you kept him wrapped up in it in a car, but it opens very easily. No need for bulky jackets or anything. I loved it and bought it on amazon prime a few hours later, haha.

The Joovy Big Caboose is a triple stroller. It’s a sit and stand, but you can also get a third seat if your kids aren’t old enough to use the bench seat yet. I think you can only use it with two infant car seats though, so at least one of your kids will need to sit on the stroller seat.

Also, your twins might not be in the infant car seats much longer. We have a Graco seat, not Chicco, but all of our kids have gotten too long for it well before they reached the weight limit, sometime within a couple of months after turning one year old.

A little wider coverage that works pretty well for us! I also put a hat on the little one and dress him in light clothes. Mine is too young for sunscreen, so ideally I keep every part of him covered somehow :)

I’ve also seen people have just the regular hood like you linked, and also clip on a Muslin swaddle or breathable light fabric to hang in front of baby, to make sure there’s sun coverage no matter which way the stroller is facing.

I’m also very paranoid about sun exposure so my method might be overkill XD

6. Place small metal parts and fasteners on your magnets. Your tools are also easy to reach, since they sit around your waist on your tool belt
   
7. With a little planning, to ensure you have everything you need, you can complete a project with one climb. Its safer too, since you have to hold less stuff- you are free to use your hands to work and stabilize yourself

It is perfect for our needs and maybe will the bill for you: many positions for the babies, either in regular seats or car seats, and inline. The newer version appears to be shorter than my old version, which looks nice. Universal car seat adapters. No third seat, but they do sell universal gliding boards that attach at the back. My singleton just turned 3 before the twins were born, and had been forced to start walking on errands early on in my pregnancy because I couldn't lift him into strollers or carts any more. The contours stroller, at least my version, has a toddler handle on either side and he holds onto it and walks. We do 95% of the household errands with myself and the three kids, all under age 4. We used this one for our single stroller on a couple flights but the material is pretty thin and basically just protects against scratches and dirt but wouldn’t do much if it gets handled roughly. We had no issues with it though and it worked fine for gate checking, nothing got broken. We’re going to Disney in December though and taking our nice double stroller and I’ve been thinking of getting a nicer bag for it, like maybe a thicker one with more padding for more protection!

I did a 4'x4' topper that sits on my coffee table and raises the playig surface so that you can play comfortably while sitting on the sectional. Covered it in headliner material to make it quiet/make cards easy to pick up, though I love the look of yours. I do still need to buy and install a rail, and have been looking at different trims and baseboard for it. I’m going there with my 20 month old! But we are planning to gate check the stroller (we use a Summer Infant 3D Lite) and take our Cosco Scenara Next on the plane for her to have her own seat. This is also what we did when we took her international flight about a year ago.

If you gate check a stroller, be sure to put it in some sort of bag to protect it as it will get bumped around a lot! We got this one.

I wouldn’t trust a rented car seat either. The Cosco was pretty easy to use on the plane and quick to get in and out.

Would something like that work for you? Or an insulated running belt that you can hide under your clothes? Or you could look into auvi-q which is compact enough to fit in your pocket.

We had something similar to the Baby Trend one you mentioned, although the front wheel was fixed in place (perhaps this one can be fixed in place). We live in New England, so we purchased the weather shield for the stroller (similar to http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jeep-Jogging-Stroller-Weather-Shield/dp/B003D7N1YE/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1372427988&sr=8-8&keywords=baby+stroller+jogging), and it kept enough of the rain/cold/light snow out that I was able to run with my daughter.

Keep in mind that your kid may not be as into running as you are. I could get about twenty or thirty minutes in before the complaints would start. Alternatively, I'd get "go faster, daddy" ... right.

Other things to keep in mind are how easy (and compact) you can make the stroller depending on where you need to store it in your home or if it needs to fit in the car. We liked the jogging stroller for occasions where the huge wheels and ample storage made it the best choice, but we had a small SUV and then a minivan so we always could fit it in.

Also, don't discount the used market. We got one stroller that was quite expensive for a quarter of it's new price, and it had been barely used at all.

You can definitely put the car seat on the bottom; I’ve done it. You have a 2015 or newer vista? And a Chicco car seat? You would need these two adaptors:

They stay attached to the seat and the straps are threaded through specific holes. They also make them for some strollers. Add some mittens and a toque and you're good for keeping warm in a car seat.

I can vouch for these - with twins I have to use a stroller for almost all of my grocery shopping and I hang the heavy-duty Trader Joe's canvas bags on the hooks. It works really well, but definitely take the groceries off before you take the kid out!

We gate checked our stroller and car seat (infant size). I got the $60 bags to wrap both in (this brand) and was glad I did. It was pouring rain at our destination, and I guess it took them a while to bring things up from below (and they went uncovered a bit) because the bags were soaked, but the car seat was dry after.

If your stroller has smaller bits (i.e. ours had adapters between the stroller & car seat that I popped off) I would take those with you onto the plane. One of the adapters fell out of the travel bag in the plane luggage area, and we nearly lost it.

We didn't travel with the car seat base.

Most airlines will not let you sit next to each other because each row only has 1 extra oxygen mask. You'll probably want to split the contents of the diaper bag between your 2 carry ons.

Our twins were great, but make sure you have some benadryl just in case you have a hard time calming them down. That is if benadryl puts yours to sleep. It works on one of mine but makes the other wired.

I gate checked my stroller in one of these. That way I had it the maximum amount of time.

We also brought some yogurt bites and crushed them up so we could stick them to the pacifier. That helped to distract them when they started to get really upset.

We brought their blankets from their beds so they could snuggle up to something familiar to them. That also seemed to help.
