I use a Samsonite rolling duffel. Looks sort of like this one. Carries 2 pairs of knee pads, like 4 pairs of gloves, mask, belt, chest rig/backpack, , shirt, pistol bag, tool bag, propane, and batteries. I use a different bag for my rifles though.

This is probably your best bet for just the ghost. Not sure how much else will fit in it but worth considering.

For longer trips where you have to check luggage, I bought this last year and absolutely love it. Hard case, snaps instead of zipper.

Your friend didn't search very hard, I found an appropriate concealed carry suitable for it's size.

Mostly dry goods. I did have to suffer through a $100 excess baggage charge and a long, food hell flight because United. Packing easy to make stuff in my carry on was maybe 50% of what a really needed on the 18-24 hour journey each way.

I was carrying both stuff for work and kitchen items on my way there, and I had much less coming back.

I use this piece of technically carry on luggage and can go on a 5 day trip with pots, utensils, staples, 5 days of clothes, toiletries, and a bonus pair of shoes. If I carry it on, I just buy a cheap knife on the ground when I buy produce, etc.

This bag was a great investment. It is durable, and the handle is magic. There are straps that come out of the front and attach around a second bag on top, so I can carry an obscene amount of stuff with just one hand and no cramping.

I was also looking at getting a spinner case either 25 or 29 inch, they would be about 2 inches taller counting wheels. Sounds like I wouldn't get arrested for that.

Have had 2 and they're great -- very underrated.

I lusted after Away luggage for sooo long and when it came down to it, I couldn't let myself spend that much money. I bought this Samsonite luggage from Amazon for SO much cheaper, and couldn't be happier with it (the large checked bag is currently on sale + extra $34.80 coupon = $139.19). I have the carry-on and the checked bag-large. It's held up extremely well over 10+ flights already.

Nice!! I was actually looking at this Floto bag in amazon. Wheels are not very attractive in bags but they are almost essential when flying long distances.

I use something like this to store them, and then keep everything in separate baggies.

could you put them in a large hardshell luggage case like this and just check the bag?

not sure which would cost more if you don't already have a large suitcase you can use vs shipping it with fedex etc

I have to travel constantly with a heavy checked bag full of delicate equipment for work. I use something like this. I switched to hard-sided recently and am never going back. Just make sure to get one with four all-way casters.


The main advantage is that it's way lighter (great for beating the 50lb limit), but the durability is a plus too. Also, for international airports that still do luggage stickers, it will stay stuck and looking cool.

I use a Travelpro Magna 21; it has magnetically aligned wheels and glides likes butter.

I'm not a fan of garment bags.

Per il secondo bagaglio a mano, Ryanair non mi ha mai fatto storie portando uno zainetto tipo eastpack. L'importante non sono tanto le dimensioni quanto essere abbastanza flessibile da poterlo mettere sotto al sedile dell'aereo. Viaggio mediamente 5 volte l'anno è non ho mai avuto problemi

I tried looking for one, but apart from a 12in x 12in x 12 in soft pizza delivery bag, all I could find was this. It's expensive. And there's no guaruntee that the case will even fit, because the smallest dimension is about half an inch smaller than the smallest dimension of your case:( I'd say you'd definitely be able to put it in the suitcase, but there might be quite a bit of stress on the case from the fabric stretching over it.

Many hard cases lock the handles in a specific place, preventing re-zipping after opening them with a pen.
