I just got the O'Neill Hybrid Freak short, can't speak to durability yet, but pretty impressed so far. Materials seem good, both side pockets zip up as well as left back pocket. Tried the Volcom board short which was meh, but this is much nicer.

they make workout bikini tops, basically sports bras that don't stretch out or disentegrate in chlorine which essentially binds everything up a bit (i don't currently need all that much). Thinking this or this one currently. I've always had an infatuation for competition suits as I've been on swim teams and life-guarded throughout my younger life before figuring out the trans stuff, and I love the sporty look to them.

And rashguard is basically a swim shirt generally popular with surfers so it's almost a socially acceptable way to wear a shirt in the water without having any obvious reason to feel self conscious. They come both tight and loose, though at some point in the future I'd much rather feel more comfortable in this ;-p

Board shorts and button up short sleeve shirts. Also masc sandals. Like, get those old man sandals. Cut your hair to suit your face, and drink all of the water. If you bind, tank binder, not a full length one. If you can get away without it, layer a thin button up over a tank top, button only one or two buttons to make the shirt cover what it needs to. If you need a reference, look at Steve Irwin's outfit (with slightly longer shorts), and just color it up a bit. Inconsistent patterns are a great way to distract from certain areas.

There is a reason you don't feed the seagulls. Just before one of the opposing players started making a deep cut, a stray morsel of food was swarmed by a flock of seagulls. A well timed up call distracted the poor cutter who was otherwise completely unaware of the horror he was about to experience. Instead of finding the disc he found himself running through a crowd of angry seagulls whilst screaming and swatting wildly at the air in an attempt to save his eyeballs from being pecked out. Meanwhile, the fierce Wildwood wind that we all know and love swept the disc to the height of the stunt kites before guiding it to a spot well beyond the back line of the end zone. The sidelines erupted in laughter and calls of "fifth man" were heard. The poor player was bewildered, confused, and visibly shaken, but he was able to regather his wits and play out the rest of the point. I don't remember which team scored that point, but the seagulls definitely won the game.

If you're going to the beach buy a rash guard. It's what you'd wear surfing but they're becoming more and more common because they work better than the best sunscreen. Be sure to buy up a size or two b/c they run tight.

How cold is "way too cold"? It sounds like other people are using it, but kids are nutty and seem to tolerate crazy cold temps. If it's just a bit too cold (e.g., you can get in it, but it's too cold to stay in for long), you could try something like an "insulated swim top", which will keep your core a little warmer, but won't help your extremities. Something like this. If it's too cold for something like that, you might consider getting a cheap wetsuit made for surfing, boating, paddling, fishing, etc. Triathlon/swim wetsuits obviously tend to put a premium on factors that are important for long distance swimming, like shoulder mobility and low friction. What makes me feel better

I recently lost a lot of weight, and I've always been uncomfortable wearing swimsuits and going shirtless because of my weight. In a couple months I'm going to San Diego and being able to confidently wear this swimsuit will make me feel better!

Alright, with my experience with swim shorts, is that they can get baggy if they go on too long. The J-Crew shorts you posted seem like they would work well. With that, I'm assuming you want a fit that looks something like this?

Marshalls and TJ Maxx are great places to find cheaper, good quality brand workout clothes, although they are hit or miss.

A friend of mine just bought some board shorts to wear at the gym for $12 on Amazon.

• Apply a coat of sunscreen before you leave your hotel/house. Let it dry in before you go outside. Sweating before it dries means that it comes right off.
  
  
• Apply another coat of sunscreen when you get to the dock/dive site/beach/etc. Again, try to do this in the shade or in air conditioning so it can dry in
  
  
• Rashguards are your friend
  
  
• Reapply sunscreen throughout the day
  
  I really like this sunscreen by Alba. It's a little expensive and it's thicker than most other products, but it works really well, it's broad-spectrum protection, and it's paraben-free (if you're into natural products).

I have a pair of THESE which have all kinds of hidden pockets and are really comfortable as well. Good for both in and out of the water.

As a swimmer, I relegate my speedos to when I actually want to swim as fast as I can.

What I find sexy is like the equivalent to a speedo booty short.

This is what I would wear if I was on like a cruise or something lol. You don’t stick out like a sore thumb with a racing suit, but you still look sexy.

As for the wrinkles, I’m not sure I’ve never had a problem. The only time I see people have problems with wrinkles is when they’re packing LOL. Wrinkles aren’t a bad thing.
