Brace yourself!

Reusable Hand warmers are nice because you can buy them once and use them over and over again!

These water bottles are pretty awesome because they keep beverages warm for up to 12 hours. My friend actually has one of these and they work really well!

Also warm socks are a must! If your feet get cold the rest of you feels cold too.

I hope this helps and that you survive your first winter! :)

There are online vendors that will give you plastic tooth trays for whitening gel (I bought from SmileBrilliant, but I'm sure there's plenty out there). They'll ship you a clay/whatever material that you push over your teeth and have harden, that will make a mold of your teeth. Mail the molds back in to them and they then send you thin plastic trays of your teeth and whitening gel. Put a bit of the gel into the trays and then put the trays over your teeth like a retainer for an hour or so. Wherever you buy the trays should have a more broken down pamphlet of the process.

I wouldn't buy more gel from them though, you can get it cheaper on places like Amazon (this is what I buy). Iirc you should avoid getting gel that has something like over 25% or 30% carbamide peroxide in it, but 22% is fine.

Use it maybe once a month until you're satisfied with results. If it starts to hurt your gums you should take it out though, because that's not good. Sometimes it won't whiten totally evenly, and there's something you can use as a spot check for that, but it's been a long time since I learned about it and don't remember what it was, maybe someone else has an idea. Make sure you haven't eaten for at least half an hour before hand and that your teeth are cleaned, and avoid eating/drinking anything with much color or acidity to it for like half a day after you finish the session. The gel itself is very acidic, so make sure you have good care with brushing and use fluoride toothpaste.

Learned this all from an old friend I've since lost touch with, whose dad was a dentist. It's a fraction of the cost of getting your teeth whitened at a dentist's office

If you search r/mua for posts about lighting, you can find some some really good guides.

Right now I am using this lightbulb and light fixture. You can use any lightbulb really, as long as it is Daylight and a 100W equivalent. I prefer LEDs because they last forever, don't use a lot of electricity and don't take any time to warm up to full brightness like CFLs.

It is almost blindingly bright (like the sun- I do not look directly into it) but it is true to color and I can see every detail of my makeup. I know if I can make my makeup look good in lighting this harsh I'll look great in almost any other kind of lighting.

Yup! I can explain no problem. So to make this dough I am actually making 4 tiny doughs. for the

turmeric I use

- 25g of starter

-80g water

- 1/4 tsp turmeric

- 100g flour

-2g salt

Charcoal

https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Charcoal-Powder-Certified-Whitening/dp/B07DWH5JYG/ref=sr_1_6?crid=33HAZY20HMN7Z&keywords=food+grade+charcoal+powder&qid=1574600628&sprefix=food+grade+char%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-6

I use organic food grade charcoal i got off amazon, its jet black and adds no flavour or taste. so for this loaf I use

-25g starter

-80g water

-1/4 tsp charcoal

-100g flour

-2g salt

Butterfly pea flower

https://www.amazon.com/Flower-dried-premium-Butterfly-Colour/dp/B07R8MCXKT/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1AQYFZ47GL0EE&keywords=butterfly+pea+flower+tea&qid=1574600592&sprefix=butterfly+pea+%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-1

I use butterfly pea flowers imported from thailand that I get off amazon. They're a purple flower that you steep in hot water like a tea and it turns the water DEEP purple/blue. let it steep for an hour or so, strain and use THAT instead of water

-25g starter

-80g steeped water

-100g flour

-2g salt

white--the final dough double the size of the previous doughs, and is just a standard white soudough. its double because half will be used as colour contrast in the middle, and half will be used as a wrap on the outside

-50g starter

-160g water

-200g flour

-4g salt

so no you have your four bowls of dough. at this point they should be very vibrant in colour. bulk rise them as you would.

When you're ready to do the shaping, remove all doughs from their bowls onto the counter, and immediately divide the white dough in half and place away for the time being. with the four remaining quaters of dough, divide each of those in half, so now you have 8 little piles of little dough.

Start with any colour. I chose a black piece, and laminate it on the counter (mist counter with water, and stretch the dough on the counter top as stretchy as it'll go without ripping. plop another colour on top of the black and stretch it on top keep going switching colours. when youre done with all the dough, fold the entire thing letter style, then roll into a ball. Bench rest for 15 minutes or so. After 15 minutes mist the counter again and laminate the white dough we reserved. dust the top of the coloured dough with rice flour and use your bench scraper to scoop it up and place it rice flour side down in the center of the laminated white dough. fold the white dough around the coloured dough like a present and place seam side up in a proofing basket. let rest 1 hour or up to 24 hours in the fridge.

When ready to bake, flip seam side down onto parchment, make your scores swift and shallow to just slice through the first layer, and bake as you would any other bread

Hope this helps!

Hey OP. I spent a while trying to find a solution to this. I found Coconut Oil for pulling is the business. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/Virgin-Coconut-Oil-Swish-Whitening/dp/B014RJ4UXW/ref=sr_1_8_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1458003260&sr=8-8&keywords=Coconut+Oil+Pulling. It's gross, and you have to keep it warm or heat it up before use, but by god it is natural, cheap, and very effective.

On top of that, brush twice a day, floss at least once, and if possibly use natural products (Marvis toothpaste is a great option). Use an electric brush too, Oral B or Sonicare have plenty of options.

All of this takes time. If you can't be patient, off-white teeth are the least of your problems. Goodluck!

u/haolime · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Okay, in my experience, these
don't cover my teeth all the way but they don't make my teeth sensitive and I love these in general besides that whole not covering my teeth all the way thing.

These
work a little better, are a little more expensive, cover my entire teeth, BUT make my teeth slightly sensitive and this has never been a problem.

So you could use sensitive toothpaste for the second kind if it becomes a problem for you too. Or what I've started doing is just alternating with both kinds. Maybe I'll get used to the second kind soon. Good luck and let me know if you try it out and what your experiences are.

u/dental_hygenius · 2 pointsr/Dentistry

You can absolutely buy it, but it's best to first consult your dentist before trying a whitening system.

I linked to a 35% solution, which is a pretty high percentage. If you choose to order online, stick with a similar concentration dispensed by your DDS. Here's the same brand at 20%.

u/CreamPieSatan · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Ok hear me out here..my legit answer would be that you should get yourself this dope dress, but..it's summer. It's hot. Work is stressful, new job..even if you have to go off amazon to get it cheaper so that it's under thirty I so so soooooo recommend you treat yourself with a pool. You deserve it and that looks like the most satisfying thing ever! I know it doesn't fit into the under thirty thats why I suggested the dress but my most honest encouraged answer is a pool.

For something I would like? Either this clay mask, some tooth whitener for my snaggle teeth, or some ear plugs so I can mix it up...I'm really indecisive but not picky.

Congratulations!!! <3

Not sure you're in the US, but might be helpful if they ship to you :)

These strips are the top on Amazon, they contain:

>0.1% Carbamide Peroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Carbopol970, Carbopol974PNF, Glycerine, Peg, Triethanolamine, Natural Flavor, EDTA, Mint flavouring .

Is all of that safe and effective?

Carry something like these, or ask her to carry them in her purse.

[Hisight Fresh Breath Deep Cleaning Teeth Wipes Finger Brush Teeth Wipes Oral Brush Finger Brush Pre and Post Brush (Pack of 20)] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT6LP54/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lUD2CbQ3Q9Z1V)

Then you can quickly and easily give her peace of mind after you eat meat.

When I lived with my parents I used a battery powered toothbrush, I’ll link the one I used below. They’re cheap, fairly quiet, and you could even just use it in the bathroom to say you were brushing your teeth (you can’t hear it if you use it in the shower). Plus it’s something easy and inconspicuous to ask your parents to buy!

Colgate 360 Optic White Sonic Powered Vibrating Toothbrush, Soft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0746NTZRW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JtsoDb6H9Z71M

You could also get something like this massager, and say your back hurts or something they won’t pay too much attention to or take you to a doctor for! Another very cheap and easy option.

HoMedics Ribbit Handheld Mini Massager | Vibration Massage, Illuminated Feet, Battery Operated, Assorted Colors | Lightweight, Muscle Kneading for Back, Shoulders, Feet, Legs, & Neck, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008981SVU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HxsoDbDB2VNHQ

If you just buy either of these yourself then explain when you receive them, then it doesn’t add too much attention. They also don’t have much of a reason to take them away. I had the issue of overbearing and nosy parents when I was younger (even when I was eighteen) and found ways around it like these. These are both options for vibrating substitutes (for clitoral stimulation), if you’re looking for something more insertable let me know and I can give you ideas on those as well. I never personally felt the need of that, but I have friends who have experience and I can ask for recommendations.

Whitening my teeth. After a disasterous attempt at straightening my teeth without braces, about 7 years ago, I accepted that I wasn't compliant enough to bother wasting money on Invisalign when I got engaged last May so I asked about tooth whitening instead and my dentist recommended these sheer white strips. He said the forumal isn't better than Crest strips but because the gel material on these strips sticks better on the teeth (thicker gel strips) so he finds them more effective on his patients.

The light is pointless FYI.

You dont use the entire syringe... I think its like 4\5 applications per syringe. and you keep it in the fridge.

i've personally used it and it was awesome.

u/evil_roses · 2 pointsr/Invisalign

I got whitening gel syringes from my dentist. I usually use them right before switching to a new set of trays, but have found that they don't impact the aligners in any way. Just make sure to clean all the gel out of the trays. I just use a toothbrush with warm water and anitbacterial soap.

u/elizabetheal · 2 pointsr/lifehacks

I use this stuff a couple times a week and it works pretty well. It's gentle on your teeth and gums and you're never sore after.

Replace soda/tea with water.
Swish coconut oil around your mouth for ~5 minutes.
Use Opalescence. It's what dentists use.

u/GoldenAthleticRaider · 1 pointr/malegrooming

Do you think something this would suffice as the tray? Much cheaper...
