You might want to check out /r/edcny since this subreddit is basically for Vegas.
I went to EDC NY the past two years...at MetLife the first year and then Citi Field last year. MetLife is MUCH better and you're lucky that it's back there this year. While the lineup doesn't have some big names, there are plenty of people to see. Branch out and experience new music! My first year, I didn't know many of the smaller DJs, but I had a blast discovering new music and new names to listen to and now some of those DJs are my favorite. One thing I can't stress enough, go experience Carl Cox & Friends! Cox is amazing and most people don't get many chances to see him.
I usually take a little backpack or fanny pack with a few essentials...and then things like lollipops, gum, vicks, paper diffraction glasses to hand out, and glowsticks. I bring enough of everything, so I can share and hand it out to other people. Like you, I usually just wear a casual/comfy outfit and add a bunch of Kandi singles to trade with people. We all wore neon body paint, but I didn't dress up more than that.
I definitely recommend staying in a hotel. MetLife is in New Jersey, so it's still a little bit of a trek from the city. Even though I lived in Manhattan, I didn't want to deal with public transportation and waiting to go back into the city. The trains were a mess after the festival and it was nice going back to our hotel room to relax and freshen up. I think we stayed at the Extended Stay in the Meadowlands. It was about $140/night and 6 of us managed to fit in the room.
I totally recommend buying a camelbak! They're decently priced on Amazon, I think I bought mine for $50. EDC is amazing with water and had free refill stations, so I only had to fill up the camelbak 3 times a day and my friends and I were able to stay hydrated without a problem. Yes, you can also refill your water bottles, but then you have to keep going back, which can be annoying if you don't want to miss a set. Alcohol was pretty expensive. It was $10 per beer I think.
There's tons of after-parties in the city afterwards, but my group and I were always way too tired to make it back into Manhattan. We actually enjoyed going back to our hotel room to chill, drink/smoke and hangout. There were also a lot of parties happening in the hotel we were staying at. But, there will be plenty of parties in the city if you want that option (you'll have to buy tickets/pay cover).
I've never been to EDC in Vegas, which is on my bucket list...even though EDC NY doesn't compare, it is amazing on its own. I liked it WAY more than Electric Zoo. The second year wasn't as great because Citi Field was cramped, but MetLife is a great location. There's plenty of space between stages and plenty of places to just sit and relax. I also loved the art installations and carnival rides. It added a whole new level to the experience. Most importantly, unlike Electric Zoo, I liked the crowd. They were friendly and most people didn't shove and push to get to the front, so I had space to dance in the back without being bothered. A lot has changed in two years, so it might be different. It's still one of my favorite festivals/events I've been to though.
Have fun with your friends, enjoy the music, and you'll have a great time.
Someone on /r/aves made this guide that you might want to check out, but it appears to be more for camping festivals. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Sure! There are a ton of great keychain accessories out there but the criteria for mine are all items must:
1: Be < 2" (Preferably 1.5")
2: Fit in my pockets comfortably (jeans)
3: Be used at least once every 3 months
(Ambu Pouch excluded)
Accessories used Most - Least
The Freekey Sytem is the foundation of the keyring and is one of those products that is so elegant in its simplicity and functionality that it seems like it should have been invented years ago.
The SOG Straight Edge Key Knife comes sharp and has held an edge pretty well over the last few months. With its tiny blade it's not going to replace your Ka-Bar anytime soon but I can almost garuntee that you will use it more frequently.
The Swiss+ Tech 6 in 1 Utility Key coupled with The Infora Key Multitool seems to be gaining ground to overtake the SOG Key Knife as top tool in the line up with flat and Phillips screwdriver heads, bottle opener, and serrated blade.
The Streamlight Nano LED Flashlight is an awesome addition to the gang and probobly the one that has saved my ass the most, there are too many times I've wasted time looking for a light source in the dark.
The 2.0 64 GB Kingston Data Traveler SE9 USB drive. Reasonable speed coupled with great durability. The cast in keyhole eliminates the possibilty of losing the USB from a weak tether and defiantly holds a perminent place in my top 5 keychain accesories. Along with its basic utility I keep a file named "If Found: Reward" on it with my information in case I lose my key ring.
The True Utility TelePen telescoping keychain pen is one of those items that doesent get the everyday recognition the others do but is totally fucking clutch when you do need it. I owe a couple side projects I've picked up to this pen, partly because of the writing aspect but more from it as a talking piece.
The InCharge Ultra Portable Charging Cable is a cool little accessory that I thought would get the boot initially but saved my ass when I was in transit and my buddy only had an Apple cable with his charger.
The True Utility FireStash Keyring Lighter is the only item on the list that I haven't actually "needed" but will probobly keep anyway because fire is such a basic necessity and if I ever DO need it I'm probobly going to name my kids True and Utility.
The Ambu Res-Cue keychain CPR mask rounds out the list but might be the most important. Along with it being being a valuable lifesaving/self protection asset it's also super useful for locating my keys. I once read something about humans being able to see more shades of red than any other color and that our minds are geared to "ook out for it. Whether that's true or not it's always the first thing I see when I misplace them and because of its shape it stops my keys from going between the seats.
I didn't have a ton of time to type this up because I'm on my phone at work but I hope this helps!
My last job was at a retail store, but in an office setting. We were given two 15 minute breaks, and an hour lunch, for a 9 hour scheduled shift. So something like 2 hours on, 15 off, 1:45 on, hour off, 2 hours on, 15 off, 1:45 on, leave. This felt pretty good for me, but everyone is different, and I don't know what your company's culture is around that. Your coworkers have that work-break ratio locked down because their brain has a timer built in that helps them out, we have no such luxury!
Another recommendation I have, though this would depend on your job setting, would be to take a break in a different area from where you work. This will help your brain associate work zone = work time, break zone = break time, which might help with transitioning from one to another.
As for small activities, it again depends on your company. I hear a lot of companies encourage fiddling with stuff like legos, or play dough, or kinetic sand or whatever in your work area, but I've had bosses that would just assume I do that all day instead of work. For inconspicuous, maybe a fidget toy? I really like these, and I hear great things about these.
Good luck to you! I am not perfect at this (he says as he reddits while he works) but hopefully you get some use out of what I said :)
Shes' gonna need a wig
And a good set of goggles
someone needs to wear these maybe even her...
You should decorate the lab with this
These would be great to fill with candy as party favors
.... or ....
TEST TUBE BUBBLES!!!! These things are touchable bubbles. PRO TIP: USe ONLY OUTSIDE. Shit makes a mess on the carpet. Easy to vacuum... but still...
Crazy cookie cutters which are perfect for this!
Temporary tattoos
Atomic super balls would be fun too!
A jello brain mold
Biohazard bags for party favors maybe
A geyser aka mentos/coke mixer for kids. That looks fun enough to get for myself. lol
Gravity goo something I would also play with. lol
Insta-snow seems like a good experiment for kids
I should stop now. I used to love planning my kids parties when they were little. Damn them for growing up.
Okay so as far as drinks go, check out this recipe for [color changing mad scientist drinks] (http://www.squidoo.com/mad-science-party-drinks)! and of course [these flasks] (http://www.amazon.com/SEOH-Erlenmeyer-Flask-Set-1000ml/dp/B0018OL4A2%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAIAA4MWUJXHBYFRNQ%26tag%3Dsquid923629-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB0018OL4A2) to prepare/serve them!
[these cupcakes] (http://melissabernal.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/sci.png) are also super cool, and if you don't have time to make them I'm sure your local bakery could whip em' up at a fairly inexpensive price. But, in all honesty, they don't look super difficult.
of course everyone needs [safely glasses] (http://www.amazon.com/Safety-Glasses-Intruder-Multi-Color/dp/B002KA00KS/ref=sr_1_9?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1404307076&sr=1-9&keywords=mad+scientist) for this party; and they come in a set of 12! how perfect!
for the walls, or doorways, you could put up this [party biohazard yellow tape] (http://www.amazon.com/Big-Mouth-Toys-Biohazard-Crime/dp/B003PM8ROG/ref=pd_sim_indust_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=16K74JMMCG67PABM8KMC), coupled with this [bloody table cloth] (http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Party-Zombie-Blood-Tablecover/dp/B00C7Y23CK/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1404307186&sr=1-1-fkmr1&keywords=fake+zombie+blood+stickers) and this [centerpiece] (http://www.amazon.com/Centerpiece-Tableware-Supplies-Halloween-Birthdays/dp/B00EFGP3LG/ref=pd_sim_t_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0A5R2P4RS07P7GBKM34C) you could absolutely bring a zombie element;
ooo! for fun, you could have a scavenger hunt around the house/yard that's like CDC/zombie themed! If you're good at making up stories you could totally tie it into a mad scientist thing.
"It was the experiment gone horribly wrong".
damn, this is gonna be my next birthday theme.
If you're really into that zombie topper there's a whole line of [plates] (http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Dessert-Paper-Plates-Count/dp/B00E59PN0E/ref=pd_sim_misc_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0YEHM1WREXVDXWYSPS6B) and [cups] (http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Party-Paper-Cups-Count/dp/B00E5ABZ8M/ref=pd_sim_t_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1DJZ21X2W9NGCPMT8520) and [napkins] (http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Party-Paper-Lunch-Napkins/dp/B00E5A9UDE/ref=pd_sim_t_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=18E9JR2R0B0GN70SEKG3) just like it.
ooo and here are some hand-shaped [cupcake picks] (http://www.amazon.com/12-Halloween-Monster-Cupcake-Picks/dp/B005J6RA7Q/ref=pd_sim_t_12?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DQJPRJ2SWGJDN9144KD). I'm clearly getting carried away.
Honestly, it would be super easy to tie zombies and science together. haha. Best of luck! Let me know if you wanna brain storm!
For the contest, this [knife sharpener] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001CQTLJM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=187CHN9S4I1LO&coliid=I36GYDHZ9M8GCI&psc=1) would be super cool :)
What a cool theme! I hope your daughter has a brilliant birthday party.
You could serve individual different flavours of jelly (jello in the US, right?!) is these petri dishes.
You could use these specimen bags as party bags! These touchable bubbles come in test tubes and are pretty fun!
These molecule model kits were always good fun in science at school - maybe you could incorporate this into a party game? Or else make a few molecules and have them as table decorations!
Thank you for this contest! If I win, surprise me! I hope the party planning goes well.
There are some good and reasonably priced spinners on Amazon. I have and like this one https://smile.amazon.com/EZOON-Spinner-Aluminum-Replaceable-Spinning/dp/B06XZ13FC1. It's big and light with good gyro. Does great with a button upgrade, like a 22m Kong.

Wow! This one went down to $5. I have it in silver and it is one of my favorites. https://smile.amazon.com/Spinner-TANAAB-Durable-Spinning-Balanced/dp/B07263LRFV. It's pretty light, being solid aluminum, but very smooth and beautiful.

Weener kleener really? What happened to a good ol' washcloth? I guess maybe if you have a thing for barn animals this could be helpful ;)
Emergency Underpants Dispenser I guess you may need this if you are driving by a farm and get too excited? I dont know.
item i would like please. OK truthfully damn its hard to choose something, I've probably changed this like 5 times already. Truthfully anything on the list is awesome :)
I think so.
Hang on, do you just want the absolute best performance for the price? Check out Magic Yoyo's, Particularly the N12 Shark Honor. It's a dam solid Metal yoyo for about 16 to 22 dollars on Amazon, depending on colorway. I tried a friends, and it was smooth as butter.
https://www.amazon.com/Authentic-MAGICYOYO-Yo-yos-Strings-Aluminum/dp/B01LPMBAIM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1480223567&sr=8-5&keywords=n12+magic+yoyo
I own the N9 Floating cloud, which is a bit smaller and cheaper, but comes with Hubstacks.
https://www.amazon.com/Original-Professional-Floating-Aluminum-Children/dp/B017R12DYA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480223689&sr=8-1&keywords=n9+magic+yoyo
The M00 1 Silencer is also a cool ... I think it's actually a bi metal.
https://www.amazon.com/MAGICYOYO-Silencer-Aluminum-Professional-Unresponsive/dp/B00YA1OEL6/ref=sr_1_14?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1480223773&sr=1-14&keywords=magic+yoyo
All of those are really quite amazing for their price. Great beaters due to their low cost. I might still reccomend the Skyva or Replay first due to plastics inherently better durability, but these are nothing to skoff at, and play like a metal should. Just search for them in the side bar, I'm not alone.
Biohazard Tape, Silly Wig, GLOWING BRAIN!, Lab Coat
This looks like a fun theme! And you can always search for any homemade stuff you like on Etsy! :) Thanks for the contest! If I win, I'd love a surprise :)
Here’s a general list. It changes if I’m going into a concert venue vs being at someone’s house.
Trip bag:
Crystal kaleidoscopic glasses - purchased mine from a local consignment store but here’s an example: glasses
Diffraction glasses - these work better with stars or lasers: paper glasses
Water
Bandana/fabric tube mask x3
Essential oils (cinnamon, rose, eucalyptus, orange, and white lotus balm)
Candy (hi chews are the best, gummy bears work in a pinch)
Weighted blanket (small lap pad sized, about 3lbs, I made mine)
Pashmina (I take mine everywhere pretty much anyways)
Notebooks and pens/pencils
Tarot or Oracle cards - my friends and I like to use them during our trips to enhance the self revelation part of tripping
Glow sticks - tie them on some shoe laces and spin them, thank me later
Flow toys (I have poi and used to have light up hula hoops)
Powder dough (baby oil and flour) and salt dough (DIY)
Something cold (usually a canned drink, sometimes ice packs)

We use dot us these Training Swords in my medieval combat class!
They also make a Shield
This steampunk flavored Cryptex Flash Drive might be appreciated! Useful and stylish in a similar vein to this Steampunk Watch
As for board games, I recommend Shadow Hunters, Splendor, and Coup
For tabletop games, you could get him A Nice Set of Color Coded Diece
When it comes to video games, this Retro Arcade Console Desk Toy could be a great work passtime with 200 games! Alternatively if you have a fridge or a metal workspace, Magnetic Tetris! for idle hands
Hope any of these help haha
So I have the cheap plastic spinner with the bearings in the arms; and while it's really satisfying in its own right, I figured it's time to upgrade to something metal.
I have $50 towards Amazon, and I would like something that can share a pocket with either my phone or wallet that has some weight to it and preferably a decent spin time. (And I prefer any color besides gold/brass, but that's less important to me.)
Here's the ones I've looked into so far:
Zendial bar
Zendial star
TYZST
Nomad
Apsung
Yes a bunch of these suggestions came from scouring this subreddit, and honestly I don't know jack about these sellers or the "authenticity" of these spinners. So please let me know what you think, and I am open to suggestions that aren't what I have listed here. Thanks guys!
Edit: Sorry, I know no one has even looked at this comment yet, but I think I'm gonna go with the Zendial star. It's only $20 and I get prime shipping; and people on here seem to trust that company. Let me know if this was a bad idea.
I don't think I ever went through the app basics (I started with Geocaching for Dummies) so my advice will be the things I picked up on my own.
What /u/bnelson333 says is a great foundation, especially (IMO) the part about writing something better than just "TFTC" in your logs. As a cache hider I enjoy reading people's experiences and reactions with my caches.
Beyond his advice, and beyond the obvious need for a GPS (either a dedicated one or a smartphone with an appropriate app), I would also suggest putting together a simple geocaching kit. What goes into the kit depends on how you like to do things. At bare minimum you're going to want to bring a pen/pencil; I keep this one on my keychain for those spur-of-the-moment finds. In addition to the pen/pencil, a fanny pack should provide space for the essentials: gardening gloves, small first aid kit (band-aids and antibiotic ointment), bug spray (something with DEET in it), needlenose tweezers (useful for extracting and rewrapping scroll logs, also for removing ticks), a small assortment of tokens for trading, and a small flashlight. I also recommend an emergency rain poncho as they're cheap (I get mine at Five Below for a buck apiece) and eventually you will need one. You're also going to want to bring along a water bottle as caching can be thirsty work.
Beyond that, you might want to consider adding basic field cache maintenance bits; paper towels, plastic ziplok bags, extra log scrolls/note pads, and camo duct tape, for example. I've also found that a good walking stick — a sturdy branch, maybe 5' tall, reasonably straight — is very handy for poking around in bushes and leaves, and especially holding in front of your face as you walk through brush. You know that feeling you get when you walk into a spider web? Yeah. Walking stick.
This is a little over $5, but who wouldn't want this!?
http://amzn.com/B000P51LDK LOL (:
Here is something that I've had my eye on:
http://amzn.com/B00BB0R34E
(and it's under $5 because the gift above is $7.65)
College Bound! (:
Thank you for the contest!
We had one that looks like a bugout bob: http://www.amazon.com/Toysmith-Bug-Out-Bob-Toy/dp/B000P51LDK at 16 weeks. We were going to photoshop one into the picture, but the parents were not amused. Apparently I'm supposed to be super serious all the time and so in love with the baby that I think it's just beautiful and cute all the time.
But seriously, it looks like a bug out bob! Too funny!
I used to use these:
amazon.com/Toms-Fidgets-Flippy-Perfect-AAnxiety/dp/B01MAYBTA0
They feel amazing but started to get expensive because they start to flake after a while and make your fingers greasy.
So, I got one of those 20 in 1 boxes and the marble fidget ended up being my favorite. First one fell apart on the end, you have to be careful not to touch the stitching too much. The stretchy string was also really nice. (just search stretchy string fidget or marble fidget) You can buy those 2 individual items in bulk pretty cheap, not sure on brands, though - I haven't bought a set yet.
edit: apparently they're also called Boinks.
I want to get one of the metal infinity cubes, but they're expensive and all of the colors look amazing and I can't choose which one to pick
Apsung
https://www.amazon.com/Apsung-Spinner-Tri-spinner-Minutes-Antiqued/dp/B06XCT29RX/
$20
80g
606 hybrid (Si3N4) 9 ball bearing with threaded retainer
Out of the box, the table spin time for me was around 5-6 minutes. I cleaned it and added a tiny bit of oil to reduce noise which slowed it down a bit, but I prioritize stealth over spin time. It does sing a little bit at high speeds.
The buttons are nicely concave. The edges of the body could be a little smoother, but they are not too annoying.
The bearing retainer is just slightly askew in the body and there is a little bit of play in the bearing and between the bearing and the button so there is a little bit of wobble, but it is not too bad.
This is my first "heavy" spinner and I have mixed feelings about it. For the price, it is not bad, but I find my preferences leaning towards smaller, lighter spinners for quiet fidgeting in an office environment.
The case it comes in, with foam cutout, is nice, although it makes it bulky.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Honestly, my favorite so far has been the Neutron by Infinite Spin in the center of the bottom row. Only about 40g, but with an R188 bearing.
PSA: The Apsung U13 and the v2 Antiquated Bronze version are on sale on Amazon for $9.99. The price keeps fluctuating dramatically (I bought the v2 a week ago for $17.99 and have seen it at $15.99, $12.99, and $9.99 in the last few days) but the spinners are nice, spin solidly (got the antiquated bronze to go for 6:15) and are incredibly inexpensive! Definitely a heavy spinner (which I like) and the ceramic bearings are nice and it looks good :)
It's a joke gift. We got one for a friends baby shower and put other stuff from their registry on it
http://www.amazon.com/Prank-Pack-Crib-Dribbler/dp/B00A26VGPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421169043&sr=8-1&keywords=crib+dribller
it was good for a few laughs, I don't know about $7.00 worth of laughs, depends on how you measure funny
I bought [these] (http://smile.amazon.com/Lite-Up-Diffraction-Multi-Pack-Transparent/dp/B01D3T065I/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) ones. And the heart ones were AMAZING!! The spirals were okay.
I also bought [these] (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B005JT5P7A) ones (mostly because they were cheap) & they look pretty cool in my kitchen...just waiting to bust them out & share them during EDC!
Happy birthday!!!!!!
What made me happiest this week was getting everything situated for my move at the end of the month.
My favorite food is pizza, not sushi unfortunately.
And TETRIS MAGNETS for my new fridge in my new house would be awesome!
I got mine on amazon. It was a six pack of paper ones and then one plastic pair. I always order a pack before a rave

All in all, they are very versatile finger puppets, and you should buy a set of them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, friend of midnighteskye!! Here are some gift ideas that fit your criteria:
Dark Chocolate Red Rose made with Chocolate Liquor
LED Finger Lights
Set of 10 Animal Finger Puppets or Set of 6 People Finger Puppets (both together cost only slightly more than $5)
12c Syringe-shaped Pens
Rear View Spy Glasses
Pad of Fake Parking Tickets
I'm not submitting these as part of the contest, but in case you're willing to get him a) add-ons or b) things slightly over $5, look at these:
Dark Chocolate Edible Shot Glasses - $7.94, Add-on
Dark Chocolate Liqueur Filled Bottles - $15.95
Google Eyes Drink Markers - $5.69
And if I by chance win, I would very much like this decal for my car (off my "Miscellany" wishlist). It's terribly appropriate for my bitty Scion xA!
Thanks for the contest!
A free class is always good, but it's not very personal. I'm all for personal gifts, especially items that they can hold on to. When they see it they'll think of you, or if someone asks them about something, they'll say they got it from you, which in turn could lead to more business.'
As a yoga teacher you could get them one of these stress relief things. They're funny, and they go with the yoga mentality of not getting stressed out. Maybe you could even get them custom made with your studio name/your name on it. And be sure to give them a bunch of business cards when you give it to them so they can bring their friends!
I'll try and sum of this reddit's opinion on starter yoyos
If you want something that can do unresponsive and responsive, either get the Sage of yoyotricks, or the Recess First Base. They come with two bearings that change the narrowness of the gap, making them either responsive or unresponsive.
If you want a purely unresponsive cheap plastic yoyo, another option is the Replay Pro, it's a little heavier and won't do unresponsive stuff but it's a solid throw and $15 price range
If you want an unresponsive but want to jump right into a metal, try the Magic Yoyo N12. This has the advantage of being readily available on Amazon.com, here's the fancier color way and it's still less than $20
https://www.amazon.com/Authentic-MAGICYOYO-Yo-yos-Strings-Aluminum/dp/B01LPMBAIM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1510886202&sr=8-4&keywords=magic+yoyo+n12&dpID=51DpJ7hQIyL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
Why wouldn't I just get a Metal throw?
The major downside is that you're more likely to hurt yourself or other things if it hits something (like knuckles or furniture) compared to plastic. Personally I don't think there's a huge risk with starting with Metal, but that being said there's nothing wrong with plastic throws and they can do everything a metal YoYo can. There's also nothing wrong with jumping right into metal throws. I say if you know youi'll like the hobby, there's no harm going for metals, you're gonna get one eventually anyway.
Why would I want something that can do both responsive and unresponsive?
The main advantage starting with one of these yoyos that does both is two things
Nice that sounds like it must work pretty well, too! As for a vacuum, I just use a small hand vac, but I think something like this lil' guy would be perfect.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. ;-)
Most people have already replied, but just in case you haven't seen it yet, this is most likely Aaron's Thinking Putty in Liquid Glass. If you're into that sort of thing as a stress toy, I can recommend the brand's other colors too, especially their metallic ones like Super Scarab. They look just as cool in person and they make excellent cube toys. Just like normal silly putty, they do tend to collect dust from surfaces though. I believe most of his putties are silicone based, couldn't tell you much more than that though.
It really depends on your budget. You were asking about getting a One Drop and you're looking at spending at lease $50 there. At that price point there might be quite a lot to suggest. In the lower price range and available at Amazon, the N12 is a popular choice. It's not got the two types of bearing -- this is just unresponsive, so you have to learn to bind -- but it's only $20, and from my perspective learning to bind is part of the fun.

fun to watch my office was a little too cold, so I tapped it to the top of the monitor, and it generated enough heat to get it going pretty good.
Also check out lockpicking. it's fun to get some practice locks, and gives you something to do with your hands, and nothing is more satisfying then a lock popping open :D

One of the first fidget things I found that I loved were sold on Amazon for like 5 bucks. They're two keyrings held together by what looked like a small bikechain link. It's small, so I think it might work with your hand size.

Firework Glasses would be awesome if I win!
So far...
YOU UNDERSTAND ME! Whenever I tell people that I think the GloFX glasses look foggy, they don't seem to know what I mean. These paper ones are super clear and I love them (sorry if a 50 pack isn't what you're looking for). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JV06CV6

menthol inhalers are a popular thing to have too or some of these differaction glasses to pass out and share with the people around you
if you have Snapchat or instagram, thats a fun thing to swap with people you meet. its fun to see the people apart of rave culture's "normal" lives.
Diffraction glasses, like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005JT5P7A/ref=pd_aw_sim_23_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2J2WHV4669K5CPXWCTD8 you can buy them in bulk super cheap and some companies will print custom ones. Everyone will fucking love it

Tetris magnets and Pac Man magnets. Magnets you can play with are pretty awesome, I think!
I always buy a bunch of these before I go to festivals and hand them out, people actually lose their minds. Definitely a worthwhile investment, you can get 20 on amazon for like 8 bucks. Heres the link
You're underestimating both the je ne sais qua feeling of quality, and how much nicer and more fun more mass feels. Most makers have done a nice job of smoothing out the edges, so the hot spots you're theorizing about don't show up on many spinners (but you're right, there ARE spinners with hot spots; do your homework). This was my first all-metal spinner, not to expensive, no hot spots ... in fact, despite having a few $100+ spinners, I still often come back to this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XCT29RX/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I would state unequivocally that all you need to do is order that, and you'll understand everything you need to understand about metal spinners.
I used to have a huge problem with picking and biting the skin around my nails and cuticles for years, the only thing I found really helped was carrying some kind of small fidget device to play with. Any time I found myself picking at my fingers I would immediately switch to playing with the toy and it really helped break the habit.
Here’s the toy I found I liked the best

Lmao, you inspired me to go and find a link to some of the glasses like in OP's post. Apparently they're called "diffraction glasses"!
I found the most amazing cookie cutter set so you could make atom cookies and test tube cookies and beaker cookies - so amazing! you could also use them to cut out decorations and so many other things!!
Some tape to help decorate!!!
BTW I think you daughter has an amazing theme and it will be a ton of fun!
I got this one, its pretty awesome to play with
If you are ready to invest a little money to this hobby I recommend the True Utility Keychain pen. It is compact, goes on your keyring, and the pen is snapped on to the lid very securely so it does not fall off of the ring like some keychain pens. It is about 10 bucks.
https://www.amazon.com/Utility-TU246-TelePen-Telescoping-Refills/dp/B007IOHPKY
I'm finding it difficult to understand. Why does it have to fit in your wallet? I understand you want to keep it organized so that you just have to to pick up your wallet rather than remember more stuff. HOWEVER, don't you have keys on you when your out of your home? Why don't you just get a little pen with a keyring on it? That way the pen can be even smaller than if it had to be card sized/shaped, its easier to hold precisely which is important for legible writing, and I'd imagine alot easier to get ink refils. That's just how I'd solve this. http://www.amazon.com/Utility-TU246-TelePen-Telescoping-Refills/dp/B007IOHPKY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405300688&sr=8-1&keywords=True+Utility+TU246
Went through a few of these.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001689F5G
Did it once at my office parking garage. Got a good laugh when the security guard said he got bitched out for it because the lady thought he put it on her car because it was his job.
Text has changed some, but still love ...May the fleas of 1000 camels infest your armpits.
You can find a slightly lower price on Amazon. I prefer the telescoping version. It is not cheap, but totally worth it in my opinion. Extremely solid construction that holds up next to my keys and change, and I never find myself accidentally inking the inside of my pocket. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VC3FBS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_uwirDbR6A4FMV
I know not everyone would consider spending that much on a pen, but there are cheaper options that will fit in a pocket or on your keychain. Here's one I used for a while that is only $9. I liked it, but the thinness of the barrel made it difficult for me to write legibly. YMMV. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007IOHPKY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xtirDbT4KKDY1
I can't stop procrastinating!
You definitely need these so you can power work without leaving your chair! You'll also do awesome : )
$6.99 including shipping.

Does that look good?
I have a stress ball that's fun to throw at the ceiling. I try to get it as close to the ceiling as possible without touching it. Also, Rubics cubes tend to wear down fast. Get a nice one like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q094SIU?psc=1. I have one at my home office and another at my office office. Also, a drinking bird is interesting for a few weeks: http://www.amazon.com/Drinking-Bird-4975-The-Famous/dp/B000JSGLBK
Check out some of the stuff on Stimtastic. A lot of it is really obvious, but there’s some good subtle stuff depending on your stim preferences.
Also a fan of these and these (note: Amazon links).
Liquid Glass Putty looks pretty awesome.
I'd probably eventually add some glow powder to it so it really glows in the dark.
In addition to succulents that I have [boo, sorry you have no natural light. :(] I also have a magic eight ball. It's just something fun to have, and people older than 12 usually haven't seen one in a long time, so people stopping by to chat like to pick it up and play with it/tell a story about one time something happened in their life with an eight ball.
These ladybugs . It seems cruel, you know? Like “release the bugs!”
the gift of nothing here you go, enjoy nothing in a package!
embarrassing boxes this one seems a little cruel. But it’s weird, none the less.
The under $20 thing is this . Also weird, but oddly charming.
These are a joke gift, and I got my dad a whole bunch for Christmas one year. His favorite was the Crib Dribbler.
These are the best to give away to cool people! See you all there weekend 2!

I have invested in an amazing piece of technology. It's cheap, and while not 100% accurate, it has proven itself to be just as effective as many experts in predicting future market trends.
20 pairs for $7, makes a great souvenir to give out at parties and raves.

Not only is it not like that, it's literally the opposite of that. Faith shows a strong inverse correlation with education.
> For some people it just strikes the heart. If a superior power can create and manage all these around us and beyond our knowledge then definitely he can rule the brains and hearts too.
Plenty of people you disagree with feel their faith was something that struck their heart too - people of other religions, for instance. How do you tell something real from something we just want to believe in our hearts? I'll tell you how - all those non-faith ways you list above: like research and learning. Which correlate inversely with faith; that is, the more you learn the less you're likely to believe anything your "gut" tells you. Which should be obvious - you learn all about those times human guts and hearts were wrong, but evidence and modeling and repetition were right.
> We doesn't understand something doesn't mean it's right or wrong.
Usually, if we can't understand it, it's because it's not even wrong.
> And what the people follow as religion can be right or wrong. Because people intend to make mistakes but not the superior power.
Substitute your superior power for anything else, and see if it holds true. For instance: "Magic eight-balls are never wrong; they are all-knowing. People can be right or wrong trying to follow their random-seeming advice, but the magic eight-balls are never wrong. The failings are because of the humans, not the perfect magic eight-balls."
Do you find that argument even a little convincing? No? Then hopefully you can understand why we don't find yours convincing - they are basically the same argument.
> And it's not burden to believe in something beyond everything. For an outsider it may look like a burden but actually it isn't a burden for the person who believe.
The truth does not care if it is a burden for you or not.
Here's the link to the glasses. The reviews are great and I've tried them out myself. I swear I don't work for them . lol. Not r/hailcorperate
Tetris magnets or cupcake clips would be cute. Honestly my fridge is covered in shutterfly photo magnets.
Got a 35$ Amazon gift card from work. There are so many spinners on Amazon I don't know what to get. Suggestions? I was thinking of getting an inexpensive one then replace with a fully ceramic bearing. Thoughts? This is the combination I was thinking (comes to just under 35$)

On my wish list is liquid glass putty!
Thanks for doing this, OP!
This looks like the stuff
Same company makes magnetic putty. I ordered some of that a couple months back and it's fun stuff!
There was an episode of Ed, Edd and Eddy where Ed imitated a drinky bird the he saw for all of like 10 seconds and that made me want one. I was a very impressionable youth. But while we're keeping the nostalgia rolling, good ole Bug Out Bob was another item I wanted to add to my collection despite not needing a stress ball because I was probably 7 when I first saw one.
Drawstring or camelback with 2 small packets and a large pocket. Don't bring a school backpack and you should be fine. Sealed gum and sealed Chapstick are good ideas, as is a bandana for dust. Diffraction glasses are cool too, regardless of drug use.
My favourite is the flippy rings. They're very satisfying to play with.

I just gave a money tight bride an amazing discount at work.
On amazon I have seen unicorn meat, a light to light up the toilet bowl at night, liquid ass, emergency underpants, and the last thing i'll add is the Child circumcision trainer.
pickleweasel
EDIT: I forgot to add this soap
I'm looking to get a 3 sided, silver spinner with a nice and quiet spin time. I'm specifically eyeing the zentri spinner off of fidgethq. Does anyone have this and can confirm the quality of it? I've heard great things, but I want to hear a couple more opinions before I whip out $40 for this.

Edit: Also found this Apsung and TYZEST. Both are rated highly, anyone have those and can vouch?
This is pretty much what I always have on me if I know I'll need a lighter, or a pen, or a bottle opener I'll grab something a little easier to use. But 99 times out of 100 I've got this as a bare minimum on my person.
Benchmade Griptillian
Seiko SKX007 on a Perlon band
Victorinox Classic SD
Split Pea lighter
Maratac flash light
Pico Titanium bottle opener

They sell these a toy shop near me -- fun to play with.
Happy Birthday Birthday Bot!
I would like this stress reliever, to keep me preoccupied when im bored!
I got mine last week but from a different seller on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAPTIZQ). I'm loving it so far. A 2-handed spin on the table can get me a spin time of about 7:30 minutes right now. My only complaint is that the bearing doesn't have a cage to hold the bearings in place. This causes the spinner to produce a slightly louder spin when it is held vertically. I was wondering if this was the case for you.
We brought diffraction glasses with us last year and they were a blast! A nice plus was giving them away to people in the Sahara and seeing their face light up when they put them on.
Thanks! Actually, the input two input images were taken on my phone, using [prism diffraction glasses] (http://www.amazon.com/20-Pairs-Diffraction-Fireworks-Glasses/dp/B005JT5P7A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398459965&sr=8-1&keywords=fireworks+glasses) at a lake near where I live. I then used a morphing software called [Fantamorph] (http://www.fantamorph.com/index.html) to blend the images together. In the program, you can set anchoring points to aid in the transitioning effect, but I make hundreds and hundreds of anchors until the program almost crashes (and sometimes it does) trying to do the render. I then export the morph to a video file from Fantamorph, importing it into Photoshop as layers/frames and further tweak sharpening and layer effects until I get something I like. Then, export as GIF from PS.
Here are the input images:

This is not a real product. It is only a gag gift box. I was very disappointed when I tried to order this as a baby gift. See for yourselves and read the title:

If anyone knows where I can get some temporary baby tattoos, please let me know. I still need to get a gift.
I believe your best bet for penny stocks premarket is available online.

These fake parking tickets are as stated a hoax. It's very satisfying to give some jerk double parked a moment of heart racing, "Oh S@#$" though.

$1.50 and under
and $5 gift thanks for the contest!
For a funny approach, try these fake parking tickets. They worked for my spouse who used them on a college campus. After gifting particularly bad parking jobs a few of these, my spouse noticed over the next few weeks that the drivers did a much better job of parking. I particularly like the line, "May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits."
I'm sorry your wife works with aholes.
These make great gifts.

I have a set of finger hands that have been worth hours of entertainment at the office, a Lisa Simpson calculator that I stole from my kids when it appeared in a Burger King kids meal one day, and of course an Initech coffee mug. I try to keep things small and simple.
I can't recommend this one enough. I ordered a couple to start and this one, for the money, is by FAR the best. Its well below the 100-200 range of the "fancy" ones but still gives you that all metal, 5 minute spin time that you want. Try it out! It said it wouldnt ship for 5 days but it shipped the next day.
Thanks!

But hey, free shipping.
I was thinking something along the lines of that person you feel obligated to buy for but when you ask what they want they say "Oh, nothing"
There's a product you can buy that's just as accurate at predicting these kinds of things as asking on reddit. It's pretty cheap. All you have to do is ask it a yes/no answer, like 'Will God of War be under $20 during the black friday sale?", and then flip it over.

I happen to know where this is on Amazon, because my review is one of the popular ones. Too bad all my claims to fame are Internet-based.

Urban Outfitters has a better series of these, but you get the idea.
Glowsticks aren't allowed so stash them well. Fingerlights are allowed so you can bring them without worrying about them being hidden. Fireworks glasses don't glow, but they enhance all other glow toys and stage lights.
Whoever gets matched with /u/Papa_Grumps needs to get him this.

I have become so good at equipping myself that yesterday when I drove my girlfriends car, we both complained how badly equipped she was lol...
Tweezers, nail clippers, napkins (courtesy of various fast food joints), mini scissors, lip balm, mints (courtesy of various restaurants), gum, tic tacs, coupons, Tylenol, Tums, rags to wipe car after washing, Armor All wet wipes, charger for phone, several pairs of guest sunglasses, box of facial tissue, tissue box holder, fabric garbage bin, foldable chair, and last but not least, fake parking tickets for morons.
Probably a few other things that escape me right now as well. I find having one of these bags attached to the vent really handy for little items.
Get some asshole parking tickets.
Amazon sells them. Here are the ones I hand out:

I bought these last year. They are cheap and made of paper, but they get the job done and you have 49 of them to give away. I have a nicer set for myself now, but for 40 cents a pop, you can't beat them for things to give out
Edit: Cheaper here, only 12 cents per pair. Damn
