"I think it's awesome that your friend was so great about it :) I apologize for the bias, but I honestly wouldn't have expected that from a frat guy."
I honestly didn't expect it him to feel that way about it either, I was drunk and I figured I'd take a chance. There are definitely a few brothers in my fraternity who I'm quite certain might have really been douchebags about it. I don't know why I chose to talk about it to the person that I did because he wasn't even really in my tightest group of friends within the fraternity. In general, were a pretty tight group of friends who not only have a lot of fun, but care about each others well being, I love it.
During the school year, I do live in the frat house, which has the perk of almost unlimited freedom. But even so, I never brought any fetish related items into the house for extreme fear of being caught. Plus it wasn't really feasible to clean up, conceal odors, and such. I save that stuff for when I'm not at school. I would read fictional stories written by other ab/dl's to get by though. I worry that even if I were successful with girls in general, if one of them rejected me solely due to my fetish it would devastate me, even if others didn't figure out why.
Only in one case did I ever wear a "diaper" in the house. We acquired a ton of white sheets, and for some reason, some cloth diapers we among them and snatched them and wore them because after a certain point, you really get desperate for that nice feeling. I feel so awkward/embarassing writing this even anonymously. It would be nice to feel normal for once.
As for him not telling you he liked being the sub in diapers, see above sentences. Going against literally almost every expectation of how a man "should" be can be a hard reality to accept even when it's what you really want. I would venture a guess that the way it played out for you two may have been completely intentional on his part and that he purposely took little steps towards what he really wanted. Maybe he just doesn't want to come off as having manipulated the situation a bit, even if it was out of caution so as not to overwhelm you. But I guess its irrelevant as things obviously worked out. :)
As for humiliation, I feel like regardless of how you baby a 23 year old guy, its going to be very humiliating for him, I find it kind of hard to dissociate the two. As for sissification, I feel like that would definitely amplify both the babyishness and humility, which I think would explain why a lot of ab's have that desire as well. I don't exactly desire that sort of thing, but I'm certain it would play right into my other desires and I would enjoy it. If you haven't already looked online, you could easily buy clothes that achieve all three of those goals in one outfit, though I imagine it would be pricey.
"We've experimented a bit with both of us being able to fill the dom or sub head space, and we both try to be really mindful of what it takes to safely move in and out of it, so even as a new experience I think it would be enjoyable for him."
I see what you mean about safety in role transitions, I figure there is probably a fine line you walk when youre intentionally humiliating or being unusually controlling of someone you love. When you do it right it must feel so real and I'm sure the brain treats it as such.
As for springing it on him, I bet that's an ultimate goal of his, to have you know him to the point of being able to do that exactly how he wants it. I think the best thing to do would be to completely come up with a story that hits on the key themes of what he told you but is completely new plot. You seem like a very intelligent person, so I'm sure you'll do what's best for him, I'm just thinking about what I would want someone else to say to my significant other.
The Cuisinart waffle iron I'm referring to here is the exact one I have at home. It's inexpensive, quick, and makes damn good waffles, even if they are somewhat traditionally shaped and makes waffles of the thinner sort. I kind of like the ones that arent so deep more anyhow. Also as a key selling point, my father is a well respected chef and has even been on tv and a couple magazine covers as a result. If he bought it for cooking, its a quality product. I know the waffles I had this morning were amazing, and to think I might have just had a bagel if I hadn't seen copious waffle talk last night.
Moving sale! Got fired from my job and now I'm going back home so I have a lot of odds and end type shit and some furniture I want to get rid of. Prices are fixed, but only because I'm already lowballing everything because I just want to get rid of it. I'll post pictures of the actual item based on interest.
Things I'm offloading right now:
edit: New Stuff!!
Black and Decker toaster oven. Like new, been using it for 3 months to make small batch cookies, toast sandwiches, cook biscuits, and heat up food. I think this is the model, if not exact it's near identical. Has all pans and racks, black. Goes up to 450F. $10Sale pendingA 3 foot, True Temper square shovel. Almost new, used it for work a few times. Only a couple months old. Looks kinda like this shovel. but not quite the same. Black grips instead of red. $10Sale pendingTwo boxes of nitrile rubber gloves. Large and XL. Used maybe 3 pairs of XL but both are opened. $4 for both boxes.Sale pendingThe Unthinkable. $1.Sale pendingCoffee Maker. I think it makes 4 cups, I'll have to check. It's a small one that I basically had for guests as I don't drink coffee. - $5sale pendingTHE LION KING <3
So many reasons. First of all, the animation is amazing. And check out those backgrounds! Just thinking of all the work that was put into that movie makes my head spin. Also, lions. They're awesome, 'nuff said. Also the story is just the best. I can relate to it in soooo many ways and it's just a sweet, touching, and captivating story. =)
If you love Disney, you should probably own this super amazing waffle iron! It makes MICKEY WAFFLES. Need I say more? ;D
If I win, I'd really love this nail polish!
Also, I've never been to Disney World, but I've been to Disneyland a few times and I have some pretty darn awesome memories from there! I used to go there every year in middle school for band trips. One of my favorite memories was in Frontierland, where they have this big stage and table area. It's normally hidden behind a big wooden gate/fence thing. But they use it for events like when school bands come and stuff like that. Anyway, my school's band won first place one year, and my teachers picked me to go up and accept the trophy! Felt pretttttty darn awesome. =)
I also have good memories of riding Space Mountain like three times in a row with no line, hehe.
Thank you so much for hosting this contest! Glad to hear you had fun =)
Kitchen Equipment used.
I used a lot of foodsaver bags for the sole reason I was spending a lot of time and money and didn’t want to risk freezer burn because I was prepping so far in advanced. Food storage first – not including things like Ziploc freezer bags, foil, parchment… and then kitchen equipment:
Foodsaver V4400 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealer Machine with Automatic Bag Detection and Starter Kit | Safety Certified | Black & Silver : Mine is like 9 years old… I don’t know if I would recommend this one exactly had I bought again. I works good.. but the auto bag detection can be finicky… YMMV

FoodSaver B005SIQKR6 Special Value Vacuum Seal Combo Pack 1-8" 4-11" Rolls 36 Pre-Cut Bags, 1Pack, Clear : 1st : I bought at Costco when there was $10 off savings. I know the meal prep community can recommend off brand ones. The premade bags are a time saver so I in the future I would only by those in bulk and keep the rolls for random sized things. I know I know, one time use… but I do wash the bags if I can get a second use out of them / depends what I stored in there / do not use for sous vide

Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel – Silver : I think mine is only the 11 cup size…I have had it mine for.. oh 15 years? Maybe longer? and FYI: NOTE: Cuisinart has announced a recall of the older riveted S-blade of our winning food processor, which was included in models sold from 1996 through December 2015. Cuisinart will replace the blade free of charge, and the new blade will fit old machines. The rest of the equipment is either old, I don’t like it, or I am preparing to replace with much higher quality. I’m also planning to add an instant pot come black Friday/ Cyber Monday.
Hello Beautiful Bombshells!
Happy Tuesday! It's one day closer to the weekend :) My SRID is back from a 2 week vacation today, so I no longer have to fill in for her! Woo hoo!!! I have to tell you that this just cemented the reason why I do not want that position, even though it would be more money. I like doing the creative stuff of an Instructional Designer...not the mundane stuff, even though I do it well.
Lunch yesterday was a recipe that I found on IG called Okie Eggos. They look just like Eggos, but they're made out of eggs and cheese (3 eggs beaten, 1/4 cup cheese), so no sweetness or artificial anything. I even bought the little mini waffle maker that she uses, but I got the black one because it was less expensive than the Aqua one. The eggos were pretty tasty with some sugar free maple syrup on them, but after I posted it and looked at hers again, I think I should have left them in a little longer for additional browning. I will tell you that they puff up immensely and release a lot of steam as they are cooking and then deflate once they are taken out of the waffle maker.
I need to experiment a little more to see if I can get mine to look like hers. Basically, you take a pinch of cheese and put it on the heated waffle maker, add 2-3 Tbsp of egg, then a pinch of cheese and then close the lid until done. Check out her page and see all the different ways she uses them!
Dinner last night was grilled cheeseburgers with the leftover salads. Hubby gave me the heart shaped one :) Awww...
Hubby found this coffee company, Pale Horse Coffee, that is veteran owned and sells "Coffee for a Cause", so purchased a bag, and then found it was so good that he purchased more. This coffee really is good :)
I moved my Stability Ball back into my office so I can get in some crunches and weight exercises during little breaks from work. I've also been getting up and dancing around to get my heart rate up a little at a time. Woo hoo! Blood sugars have gone back up a little bit since I decrease my insulin to 8 units, but it's still not super high. I woke up to 131 this morning, whereas I was waking up closer to 100. I'm keeping the course and hope that things change to lower as I incorporate more exercise. I think that's the missing key.
Okay...that's it for me today, my friends! KCKO like there's no tomorrow! XOXOXO
This thing is a miracle. I never realized such a simple recipe could produce something so good. At first I tried the basic chaffle recipe which is:
That basic chaffle recipe was very tasty. it had some saltiness from the cheese and tasted like a nice crispy cheesy waffle. Slight hint of egg but not overbearing at all. These would be great if you let them cool and used them to make a sandwich or as a burger bun.
Then I decided to try adding 2tbsp of Salted Caramel Keto Chow to that same mix above... and wow. No egg taste at all, and the cheese flavor was reduced a lot also. It came out as a fluffy, sweet waffle. This would be great for breakfast with some sugar free syrup. These taste WAY better than carbquick wafles, and much simpler to make. These are the waffles i'll be making for breakfast from now on whenever I want a treat.
Total macros for this whole recipe (Two 4" waffles):
*Edit: Here's the waffle maker I used. It's the perfect size for chaffles. Only $9.99 on amazon too (depending on which color you get) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018QROXLK/

Here goes the recipe - my husband said they’re a good dupe for McGriddles, I’ve never had a McGriddle so I can’t confirm, but they’re definitely a good stand in for a breakfast sandwich.
Waffle Ingredients:
1 large egg
1/2 cup almond flour
2 tbsp erithrytol
1/2 tsp gluten-free baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp almond butter
Waffle Instructions:
Sandwich:
6 6” strips of bacon
1 fried egg (I break the yolk)
1 thin slice of tomato
1 tbsp of miracle whip mixed with a bit of Frank’s Red Hot, spread on the waffle
Bonus: I ordered this mini waffle maker on Amazon because of a post by u/Lunaloveshagrid and it’s amazing.
According to carb manager, meal comes in at 9g net carbs, 63g fat, 36g of protein.

I bought the Black & Decker round Belgian Waffle flip iron for $10 from Macy's (I did get it on black Friday, its about $30 reg price) and I LOVE IT.
I have literally used it every weekend, cooks waffles perfectly. Super easy to clean, very easy to work with all the little lights that let you know when to flip and when it's ready.
https://www.amazon.ca/Adjustable-Temperature-Belgian-Removable-4-Slice/dp/B01FYIAQA6/ref=sr_1_6?crid=33YTIJILPDIG0&keywords=waffle+maker+with+removable+plates&qid=1567702212&s=gateway&sprefix=waffle%2Caps%2C210&sr=8-6
We bought this on Amazon but it was at our local stores as well. It works great and is super easy to clean. The waffles are square but you can make 4 at a time, and you can pour the batter into a circle if you prefer
Let's start with a face gain! Look at those neck rolls in the first photo! Ugh, I was miserable and look it.
Yesterday was a pretty good day on the food side, and a little improvement on the exercise side. I can't wait for this month to pass and have cooler and drier weather so I can walk more. I'm down .6 lbs from yesterday.
Lunch was chicken with green sauce and cheese. Dinner was Asiago cream sauce over chicken and the Explore Cuisine edamame spaghetti. It was delicious. I enjoyed having something filling that wasn't regular meat or vegetables and it makes for a nice side dish. I will be doing something with the rest of the package, maybe sesame noodles?
Lunch will be rare Ahi tuna and cucumbers with G. Hughes sf Honey Mustard sauce. Tonight, I will use my new Dash mini waffle maker to make some chaffles for tomorrow. I am also using my Instant Pot to cook some beef shank with marrow and beef back ribs in wine and herbs.
Work calls. Have a great day! ♥
Hope you're feeling better!
My next purchase will be this.
An MP3 I'd like is: Rebel Beat
Phrase that pays: JORDAN CATALANO WON AN OSCAR AND MY HEART
I absolutely don't need a waffle maker but I know that if I get one, boyfriend will make waffles and that sounds like a super awesome perk that is really completely unnecessary to living. (It's on the Autre list)
Random fact about me: I'm really good at making healthy food choices BUT I always have ramen noodles in the pantry (top ramen- the really bad for you ones) in case I get a craving for them. They're even behind other stuff so I only go for them when I'm explicitly thinking about them.
I got this at Crate and Barrel. Super affordable and really awesome, makes perfect little waffles and doesn't take up any room in the kitchen. Could work perfectly for your Chicken Waffles... euhh... Pancakes!
I always felt the same way about waffle irons (and single-purpose appliances in general) but apparently they make stove top waffle irons. Its pretty awesome and takes up very little space in my cabinets. Sure, it requires a bit more babysitting than an electric one, but I dig it.
I love egg sandwiches!! I do the same thing, but use a a Dash Mini-Maker, specifically the waffle one for bread and the griddle one for the egg.
I use Kodiak Powercakes for waffles, with a dash of applesauce instead of oil. For 2 of the Kodiak cakes it is 126 calories, but that also includes close to 10g of protein. I put cayenne pepper on the egg, and use 1tbsp of whipped cream cheese (25 cals). Delicious and only 225 calories with the egg (large egg, so 74 cals).
Another favorite is to use the Pillsbury canned biscuits and throw that in the Dash. Those are 100 calories and make DOPE egg sandwich waffle bread as well.
I just looked mine up, the Oster 3883--YMMV but I was surprised to see it's only a $26 wafflemaker, it's been great since I picked it up used at least 10 years ago. I had an old cast-iron stovetop one, it was a real beauty but not if you're stuck cooking with electric...
I do plan to solder a lot. I have an IT background and I really want to get better into electronics, so I plan to do a lot of training.
So yeah... I'd like to find excuses to solder 🙃. One thing I've been doing is salvaging components from throwaway stuff. For instance, I got the alarm system from a previous house (when I was a tenant) and I salvaged all sorts of components like keypads, LCD panels, etc.
While I certainly want to move away from my 12 EUR soldering iron towards a soldering station, I am starting off so buying a 1,200+ EUR Soldering+SMD station sounds like a stupid overkill.
This is why going for individual components probably makes more sense. I can see from all the comments that the Hakko is an indisputable winner. And if I get it, I can always buy the other components/devices separately, like a hot-air gun and eventually a desoldering gun, and I would still have a top-notch soldering station. Buying a cheap all-in one I might end-up with a decent iron but a not so decent hot-air gun (for example), and having to buy a separate hot-air gun down the line anyway. But I gotta say that as a n00b, seeing the YIHUA is enticing but I'll fight the urge. If I was a good enough pro making money out of soldering jobs already I would be buying a YIHUA with spare cash and try it out just for kicks (gotta love some soldering, though!)

This recipe makes about 4 servings:
Blend the banana, liquid egg whites, and milk until liquid (I use an immersion blender though if the bananas are very ripe and mushy you can just use a fork). Stir in the remaining ingredients until fully combined but still a bit lumpy. I cooked it in a Dash mini waffle maker according to the directions, spraying the waffle maker with a bit of oil each time. Freeze flat on a cookie sheet then transfer to a freezer bag when solid.
Nutrition facts, slather with some almond butter or serve with bacon or something if you want more fat.
-Taste pretty good, and you can freeze them and reheat them in a toaster just fine.
I’ll throw it out there, I’ve never had good luck with any of their products. I’ve got two of the cuisinart ones and they are flawless.
Also you should try this recipe.

This is the one I have, the single version. I’m pretty sure the flipping action makes a big difference too.

I searched for a while then ended up getting this and never looked again. They're so easy to make at home and you can tweak the recipe to match it just the way you want it.
One of my favorite things to do is to make the dough a little more crepe like, pour a half portion into the iron, then flip the iron really fast instead of waiting the normal 30 seconds or so. Cook for the same amount of time and carefully pull the thing out. The dough goes through all the troughs, but doesn fill out the entire volume. The result is a cubed grid-like pattern thing (looks like a belgian waffle skeleton). This makes the most amazing, crispy breakfast crepe funnel-cake.
I actually just found this cute ass waffle maker for 8.99
I love love looooove waffles but I'm supposed to be on a diet..being able to make little ones one at a time with a healthier recipe would be really nice.
Chicken and waffles is my favorite food. I miss it so bad!
Which deal should I take?!
I really believe having a waffle maker that flips is key to getting such nice looking results. I have this waffle maker (I used to be pretty serious about waffle making in my carb days). Though they make a single as well. Other brands make flipping models but this is the only one I have experience with. Batter this runny will likely end up with the down side appearing better than the up side if not flipped, though it'll still taste the same.
Appearance is likely not a big factor for folks who don't eat waffles often, but I wanted to note how I feel I got such nice looking results.
There's several waffle makers where you can flip the surfaces around and use it as a griddle/sandwich press. example
Like no_you_cannot said though, there's plenty of other things you can cook in waffle makers - I recently had some friends that made brownies in it, and they turned out pretty good.
I use one of these. They're tiny and easy to store, and it works well. One time, a friend and I each made our go-to batters and made both waffles and pancakes with each. Both batters were better in waffle form, in my opinion.
Downsides with that waffle iron:
About a month ago I purchased this one by only using gift cards that I earned by using Bing rewards. It comes with a recipe booklet and the recipe for Fluffy Waffles is the best.
Edit: I just noticed that the price has gone up from $35 when I ordered to $41, but you do still get free shipping.
Since I was summoned, I have this one. It's less about which waffle maker you have but rather how good the batter is and also figuring out how long to make the waffles for and at which temperature. A medium high setting on that waffle maker is perfect. All batter will have their specific timing, so experiment a bit and adjust as needed.
Hail Queen Lily and her loyal servant! Where have you been all my life, Chris?
I'd love this waffle maker! I could make some bombtastic Belgian waffles with it.
This one is awesome. I have it and love it.

We've got this Cuisinart double one and it's amazing. Clean up is a simple wipe after it's cooled off a bit and that's it. It also cooks up really quickly and having it do 2 at once helps to get the food to the table without everyone having to wait around.
I'm going to guess it's a girl! And the only winter birthday in my family is December 21st (my grandma) so that's my guess. Congratulations, by the way! <3
Thanks for the contest!
i doubt there would be much difference unless the electric was rated under 1200 watts. the problem with most electrics is they take several minutes for the surface to exceed the boiling 210°F temperature needed for waffle making, then recover above boiling temp once the cool batter is applied. it's pretty much the same issue with deep frying where you'd need 1800 watts to get your oil above 450°F then hold it once the potato are added.
it sound like you want to make a lot of waffles fast, so consider something like this where you can keep loading batter and unloading cooked with a flip. this 1400w unit can make a medium baked 7" waffle every 2 minutes.
http://www.amazon.com//dp/B0034JU9T6 (there are more rugged resturant grade versions of this model as well)
if you must do square waffles at volume, don't buy anything less than this 1500w model: http://www.amazon.com//dp/B001CHL3Q0 (there is a more expensive version where you can exchange the plates for press grilling.)
anyone reading this on a budget - you can do waffles just fine on a typical cheaper 600-900w unit, just not as rapidly as the units above. best trick is to always leave a tablespoon of water on your iron when you first plug it in - then do not oil and batter it until that water has boiled away - that's when you know your iron is ready. personally i use a $40 900w square regular waffle with removable plates, but i have to be patient during warm up and while making large batches.
Best fucking waffle maker EVAR.
I seriously love this thing. It's low cost, designed to be stored upright, easy to use, and we've used it probably every other weekend since we got it (which, looking at my amazon order history is actually one year tomorrow!), and it is still working like the day it was new.
Ooh i never get to make suggestions for decorating! This will be fun even if i don't win!
This really cool jewelry shelf

Keyboard waffle iron because who needs practicality!
This silly cow wine bottle holder

BULLSHIT!
There's no way you're going to get even cooking distribution with a waffle iron shaped like that. The waffles will always be too cooked in the middle (near the G/H keys) and too undercooked at the corners.
The best home waffle iron around is the Villaware V2002 Uno, but you're going to have to pay a little extra for it, since they're no longer being made.
Yeah, that's right. When they stopped making them, the stores raised the prices because the waffle iron is that good. I got mine for $40 from newegg, but now the cheapest place I've seen one is for $70 somewhere through Google Shopping.
Even distribution, deep pockets, quick, hot, 7 settings, and a buzzer to tell you when to pull out your waffles. The V2002 is one of those simple things that can make life so much better.
The best home waffle iron that's currently on the market is the Presto 3510 Flipside. It's got similar characteristics to the V2002, but the timer system is retarded because it works on batteries, while the V2002 just beeps automagically. That's right. It's fucking magic.
The other thing is that the V2002 doesn't need to be flipped, while the 3510 is a flip-style. If we were cooking waffles over a stove, I could understand this, but since there are heat elements in both sides of the iron, you're really not getting much of an advantage by adding this step.
Of course, the 3510 is only $40 on Amazon, while the V2002 is $70 from some fucking anonymous shifty site through Google Shopping.
But I digress... If you're going to talk about a geeky waffle maker, then you sure as fuck better be geeky about the waffle makers themselves.
This is the one we have. It’s pretty great and takes up less space than an electric.
I just got my second one after about 8 years. Don't push down on the handle it will break off. This is pretty much the only reason I got a new one. Still works great. https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-WMR-CA-Round-Classic-Waffle/dp/B00006JKZN
The other secret is oil. Use more oil or butter than you think it needs. Dont oil the iron.
I would start out with an cast iron stove top one. They are fairly cheap and easy to start out on.
I own a couple of those and I own this one.... Its pricey... But, I like it.

The mini waffle makers are cool, but I swear by this one. I've got 3 of them now but I used one to make hundreds of waffles while writing the book and it's still cooking just fine. Plus, the adjustable temp helps for low and slow cooking things like a three stage fudge brownie.
Why not just buy your own... I'm pretty sure there was one similar to that style on Amazon yesterday http://smile.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-WM1404S-Waffle-Silver/dp/B0051T8QMY/ref=sr_1_7?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1457630154&sr=1-7&keywords=waffle+iron
I don't think it comes in saffiano necessarily, but the Fossil Preston is very close in size to what you're looking for and is currently on my wishlist. I tried one on in a store and I'm about 90% sure it could fit a full size iPad if that's on your criteria list.
This one is pretty good if you're looking for something extra thicc.

Here is one that I use that fits the list.
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-G48TD-Grill-Waffle/dp/B000063XH7/
Makes 4 nice square waffles. Removable plates. Easy to clean.
As others notes square waffle irons do not always cook evenly but this does a decent job.
Not totally cheap but compared to the wallmart specials it is worth it.
Go here for waffle recipes - http://www.waffle-recipe.com/
But if you buy any pancake mix it usually has a waffle version (add oil, change egg amount, etc)
I have a Rome waffle iron. I love it, but it does take some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it, you have a waffle with a soft, fluffy interior with an amazing crunchy crust on the exterior. I use it right directly on my stove's electric coil, and I've even made waffles over a camp fire!
I just got this Krups model yesterday. It's recommended by wirecutter and works great. The plates are removable for cleaning and can even go in the dishwasher.
Here you go! Comes in different colors, I have the mini griddle, too - it’s great for eggs!

Jumped on the chaffle train over in r/keto and tried a vegan version today with success. Each waffle is made with 3 Tbsp. Just Egg and 1 tsp. ground flax meal, cooked in a mini waffle maker. Avocado smashed and mixed with salt, pepper, 1 tsp. nutritional yeast, topped with a bit of spicy Korean pepper and bagel seasoning.
The Q&A section on Amazon gave me a slight chuckle. Also link if you want one. It’s $60.

Morning update. I’d like to play around with sweetening them up a bit, maybe with a touch of liquid Stevia. I want a McGriddle damnit. 🤣
Cook time for two was about the same time to cook two pieces of thick cut jalapeño bacon. I used mozzarella because I’m out of shredded cheddar and today is grocery day. Also didn’t have a slice of cheddar for my breakfast sandwich and seriously, I’m roughing it over here.
Does anyone know if this one is any good? https://www.amazon.ca/Romes-1100-Fashioned-Waffle-Iron/dp/B000BWCTL0/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1481417361&sr=1-1&keywords=cast+iron+waffle+iron or should I just try to find an old one?
Whoa! I think this is the one I have and in the States it's not even that much money!! Still like $65 on amazon.ca
Woke up this morning wanting waffles, and used this recipe b/c it didn’t require an overnight sponge. I like the texture of cornmeal, so I tossed in an arbitrary amount of cornmeal into the batter. Made a blueberry compote, and topped everything with powdered sugar
Bought this waffle maker last week b/c I was getting batteries delivered via Prime Now (I live across the street from a Rite Aid but am a lazy piece of shit), and needed to spend at least $20 more for free delivery
The one people are buying is $7.99 with free shipping.

I was trying to think of what unitask tools that I have, but I don't have that many:
I definitely use the orange peelers in every lunch I make for my wife as they're convenient, but I sorta wish I had gotten a standard waffle maker with changeable plates. I also use the grapefruit spoons as tea/coffee stirring spoons when I don't feel like using a normal spoon on the task.
I understand if I'm too new for this, but thank you for being so generous with the contest!

We have the discontinued model 15000 Nordic Ware stovetop waffle iron. It was a hand me down from my grandparents and it is awesome. As far as I can see the only difference in today's 15040, is the temp gauge has been removed and the two halves come apart now. Our temp gauge is broken now anyways so not a big deal in my opinion.
Absolutely get a stove top cast iron one and know you will be able to pass it down for generations. It will work on any stove and no electronics to break or burn out.

Dash Mini Waffle Maker
This is the most popular one in posts right now.
Get yourself a belgian waffle maker and do it yourself. Just using one of those and straight-up HEB Pancake/Waffle mix I've made some dynamite waffles, fresh as can be. One of these and you're all set: https://www.amazon.com/Presto-FlipSide-Belgian-Waffle-7-inch/dp/B000TYBWIG
I agree with all those who have offered the trickle-in, eat-as-ready method. However, I've found myself considering this for purchase given the number of guests I've found myself hosting for weekend breakfast/brunches lately: Cuisinart WAF-F20 Double Belgian Waffle Maker, Stainless Steel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IA3HJGG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_oz72Ab96Q2NYT
Yes. Many. Here is a rustic example. http://www.amazon.com/Romes-1100-Fashioned-Waffle-Iron/dp/B000BWCTL0
Gods work.

I've been using this one every weekend for a year now, it does very well for the price.
If I had prime I would get this waffle maker cause I've been hankerin' for some waffles for awhile but have no way to make them.

This one qualifies. My parents own one that's over 40 years old and mine is 10 years old. Simple, solid little waffle maker.

You can always tinker with additives, but a $10 Mini Waffle Maker, a carton of eggs, and a bag of shredded mozzarella are going to change your life.
I want to say one word to you. Just one word.
Yes, sir.
Are you listening?
Yes, I am.

Mickey waffle iron
I have this one.
This is hard to get an idea of scale until you actually see it. It is small!
You can get them at a lot of places. I got mine at Bed Bath Beyond with a coupon.

Seems it's finally in stock...I already bought a different model but I'm still tempted. Can't have too many waffle irons if you're making a lot of waffles. Though, people don't seem to enjoy waffles as much as I thought they would.
The real fools are the ones who created these monstrosities!
$0-5 = A necessity nowadays
$5-10 = A Batman cup with a cape!...enough said!
$10-20 = So painfully hilarious
$20-50 = A staple in any kitchen!
Edit: Corrected my necessity thanks to Wenr!
