Hello hopefuls, lurkers, and alumni! Rather than give each video a critique I'm just going to list some tips that will help everyone in the long run. These tips do not apply to any single person in particular and every one of them can be used to improve a performance in some way shape or form, those who have a mastery in all of them tend to go far.
Overall these tips can and WILL help you in the long run, I wish you all the best and good luck!
Now with all that said I'm now going to reveal the 6 people I voted for in no particular order.
/u/BitchEva /u/mtd1988 /u/Kamui_Gr /u/itsbrohan and I don't know Sheba Maneater or Lady T's reddit names.
Now good luck, and don't fuck it up
Edit: SECRET TIP NUMBER 10! Carrion Threads - If you don't get in or didn't audition but want to still participate, make a video and post it in the Carrion Threads! These threads are named after April Carrion from Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race, after she was eliminated she would post the runway looks for each theme that she brought to the show on her social media. In the spirit of that you guys can follow along in them and they're great practice to really hone your skills for next year! Stick around and lip sync with us!
I'm not sure what you have right now, so I'm just gonna assume nothing.
Here's a few suggestions:
Get an AEG, not a sniper. They're just better. If, later, you want a sniper and you're willing to throw in some upgrades, get one then.
Don't get a pistol. You just don't need it with a decent AEG.
Let's say a $300 budget for the gun. That'll give you plenty of budget left over for a decent chest rig, eye proteciton, a battery and charger, whatever.
If you want an AK, CYMA CM040D or any of the other VFC clones (CM040s, CM045s, CM048s). I use it. It's nice. Would recommend. Nice metal build, tank-like internals. Nothing really special. Just a good and fairly cheap AK. My brother runs a battery similar to this in his. It's overpriced and not very strong, but it works. If you can find something on Hobbyking it'll be much cheaper and probably better, but they're sold out of a lot right now.
For a lipo charger, the IMAX B6AC is really nice. Does everything you need it to. The mags I like for it aren't available on TorontoAirsoft, but they are available on AirsoftDepot
If you want an M4, Classic Army EC1 or any of the other Skirmish Line (EC1/2, Delta 10/12, KM10/12, ISSC MK22). Light-weight but pretty strong polymer externals, nice internals, has some nice features like a mosfet and quick change spring. The US version comes with a 9.6v battery and ^shitty charger, but I'm not sure about the Canadian version. It doesn't mention it anywhere I can see.
For a chest rig or plate carrier, look into Condor gear. It's pretty solid for the price. Good for beginners.
For head protection, I'm going to take this over to Amazon.
Eye Protection: Pyramex I-force or V2G-XP. Both pass ANSI Z87.1 High Impact and MIL-PRF 32432 impact standards, so they're tough. They have thermal lenses so they resist fog, and they're comfy as hell. Cheap too. They're rebranded by Valken as Zulus and Sierras and can be found on Torontoairsoft for about $30 each.
Lower face protection: One Tigris mask. Protects the important bits, looks stylish doing it, and is super comfy. I use this with the I-force and love it.
For your head, just wear a hat or beanie.
Optional: Ear protection: Howard Leight Impact Sports. Protects your ears from loud sounds and bbs. I like them. I use them all the time.
Optional but highly suggested: Gloves: Mechanix M-pacts. Just the best for the price. Again, they're what I use.
Edit: Forgot a couple things:
M4 Mid caps: G&P High RPS mid caps. Solid mid caps, decent price, feed well in most guns. Hero Outdoors is the only place I can find them in Canada.
Speedloaders: cheap one. It works well. more expensive fancy thing. It works really well.
Wonderful answer, thank you!

>as for motherboard...
How long would "the next few generation of gpu's" be in years, roughly? I'm asking this because if it'll last a few more years longer, I'm willing to dish out on the X570, even if it is not the most efficiently priced at the moment, on the chance that PCIe 4.0 might take off within a few years. I'm actually willing to go over budget by 100 or so if it means that I don't have to worry about changing the CPU or Motherboard for the duration of this PCs life (which I'm hoping will be around 7 ish years as I said).

> For memory...
That's perfect then, I'll mull over my budget a bit and see if I can fit it in. I read a bit about it and it said CAS latency can be big for gaming, especially if you have a good GPU, but I'm unsure.

> Storage...
Are the differences in different SSD performances mainly to be found in productivity related operations, then? Also dumb question, but is NVME just a type of M.2 SSD? I'm asking this as many SSDs I've looked up are "M.2 NVME" or whatever.

> For GPU the one you have is great as long as you're happy with the performance you'll be getting.
From what I've seen of it, the 5700XT is a pretty high end card, no? Its not a 2080ti but it'll smash most games out nowadays at 60fps+ at 1440p, at least that's from the benchmarks I've seen. Do you think it'd comfortably contend with PS5 era games that'll be out next year? I know its a big guess but realistically isn't it unlikely that PS5 era games will be matching a 2080 ti in the first place? I'm up for upgrading the GPU in 3 years or so anyway.

> Your monitor looks pretty good, you could get one with 1ms latency for under $350
Is this or this good? (credit to u/Jozef-Pilsudski)
I think the Dell one is 1ms, the other doesn't say I don't think.

> you could always turn it down to 1080p on games that need it until you upgrade your gpu again.
Dumb question, but I can turn the resolution down to 1080p on either of those monitors I linked, and the one in the OP, yeah? Cos if that's the case then the limitations of the 5700xt on 1440p won't really matter, and I'll have the monitor got and ready by the time I get a card that can fully utilize 1440p.

> For the monitor RTings
Will rummage around that site as soon as I get a chance, see what I can find.

> Sorry my post is almost as long as yours but I think i covered everything you mentioned
No need to apoligise, its long and answers everything I wanted. Its perfect, thank you so much for helping :).
You can't really record directly from the iPad to the Mac. I think you're probably going to want to look into getting a webcam. Nearly any USB webcam will work with the Mac.
This is a nice one on the cheap but not super cheap end.
You may also want to get a microphone. Many webcams like the one I just linked have one built in, but these are usually pretty low quality. You might give it a try first with the built in mic but if you want higher quality audio I recommend a nice USB mic like the Blue Snowball. Optional, but it'll make your videos sound 100% better.
All of these can be used as direct input for iMovie. iMovie is great for basic video editing and can upload your work directly to YouTube. It's great software that comes free with every Mac.
I have similar issues, though I have the most trouble using a mouse. Since you work from home, and your biggest issue is typing, you may want to try speech recognition software. It took me a few days to get used to it, but I now find it really helpful in certain situations.
Since you specifically mentioned scrolling, I'll mention that you can say commands like "press page down" to scroll down like you pressed the page down key, or "scroll down 3" to scroll down like you hit the scroll button 3 times.
I've had mixed success with using the speech recognition to totally replace typing, but I'm using the free Microsoft Speech Recognition software, and I've heard some of the other software out there is much better.
Since my biggest issue is with a mouse, I'm hoping improvements in eye tracking hardware, [like this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MAWPMXQ/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza), will let me stop using a mouse altogether in the next few years.
not a problem. if you need to get into recording at a decent level, the other mics are very good at what they do, but it's a definite "deep end" of technology and cost.
The world of audio recording goes very technically deep and getting decent results versus good, moderate or excellent results is a question of time and resources you probably won't ever need to even know about. Unless you do foley work, instrument recording, vocals, or podcasting/streaming, or make movies, master audio tracks, compose your own music etc.
having a computer takes a lot of effort out of the equation, since computers can adjust volume on the fly, and also do reasonably fast edits, normalize the overall/peak volumes, pop filtering and noise cancellation/replacement with free tools and a few minutes.
But, given the needs of most people in discord, i.e. chat, you probably will get by with the boompro as it's sort of a "known quantity" and headsets are on the whole, far easier to manage since they focus so much on speech.
about the only thing you ever need to know is to bend the boom away from your mouth so you don't 'spit' or cough directly into the mic end, i.e. if you open your mouth wide, have the boom follow your jaw line to the end so it's recording just below your chin. that will prevent clipping when you cough or breathe out quickly and be close enough to capture whispering, etc.
This is why you see screens (pop filters), elaborate wire mesh or foam inserts around mic's, to prevent the mic from being pushed around by a strong breeze, physical shock or coughing into the mic.
If you run into conferences or do streaming, then you might have better luck with stereo dynamic mics on the higher end 3D cameras, i.e. the razer stargazer which is a bit buggy, but the higher end cameras have cardioid or omnidirectionals for focusing on the room audio or towards the camera.
/u/boreditdude - the lowest cost solution is probably the [$179 Logitech Conference Cam] (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-960-000866-Conference-Cam-BCC950/dp/B0083I7Y8W/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20). This camera is really made for situations where it is closer than 20 feet - but if you can get it closer (perhaps even on the table), it will be the least expensive solution.
[Here] (https://youtu.be/NMJjyupoysY) is how it works.
Logitech has two higher end versions of this product which separate the camera from the speakerphone, the [$741 CC3000e] (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-ConferenceCam-CC3000e-Conferencing-960-000982/dp/B00I0F78DO/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) (promo video [here] (https://youtu.be/S77NBIYxrNo)) and the [$998.98 Logitech Group] (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Conferencing-System-Meeting-960-001054/dp/B01B4SNM92/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20&linkId=9f6af2186ea4ee7c634fdd3d46f5d38a) (promo video [here] (https://youtu.be/ZFhzDPmV5f4)).
If there's no way to put the camera on the conference table, the best solution would be a high quality 1080p camcorder with a zoom lens, mic and headphone jacks plus a video capture card. I recommend:
This package will give you a high quality stream for less than $1200.
Hope this is helpful and best of luck with your event!
Maybe I am not getting what you are trying to do, but if you want to capture what is going on a screen the best approach is to run screen recording software (e.g., Hangouts, GoToMeeting, WebEx, Join.me).
If for some reason that is impossible, be careful with GoPro. First, make sure you get one where you can turn off the "fisheye" effect and also one that has a monitor on the back.
I think hooking up an IPEVO camera to a laptop (as a monitor/recorder) might be a good solution.

Also the Logitech C920 records in 1080p so you should be able to enlarge the image and not loose too much clarity.

A lot of the advice I have comes from "Best Practices" which our math team members share. That way, our kids go from 6th grade to 7th to 8th with some similar structures and procedures in place.
As for not getting into a rhythm, you could have a vaguely bullet-pointed Agenda at the front. I do this daily; it looks like this:
Agenda
Even if the Agenda is a little off, kids have an idea where they stand, and you have a roadmap of your class activities, even if you don't tell them how much time you expect each activity to take.
If your homework review is taking too long, cut out the stuff which is painfully long or otherwise feels unproductive. I found myself going over every problem, which was downright boring to some kids. What works for me is to have students check answers with each other while I walk around with a grade book or my tablet to see who completed the assignment (for my class, I give them 5 minutes tops, and they start the moment they sit down). This is a time which must not become "off-task" time for some kids -- setting this routine early in the year really helped. They learn to ask each other questions, and compare answers, and do some basic peer-mentoring/review. Then I say something like "Okay, even if you're not finished, we're going to go over the answers, so get settled." I have a projector and an iPevo document camera for the next step: I put the teacher's edition under the camera and display the answers on the board, and read them out loud quickly, not asking if they want to go over them until the end. For each different section/concept on the page, I say "does anyone need me to any of problems nine through fourteen? No?...Okay, what about fifteen through eighteen?" Remind them they'll see this on the quiz, or on a standardized test (which makes it "them vs. the problem", or "them vs. the standardized testing board", rather than "them vs. you"). Repeatedly doing HW problems which cover the same concept is a time waster. Usually one problem per section is plenty -- any more, and they can take notes, read their book, or come to extra help.
If you feel like your homework check is going too long, you can also set expectations for your students; tell them up front that you'll only be spending 10 or 12 minutes going over the homework, and stick (pretty close) to it. Cover the problems you feel most important, if you have a choice. If you don't have a document camera/projector combo, I found numbering the problems and answers on the board without doing all of them was an acceptable compromise.
I never grade homework for right/wrong -- the sheer volume and time it would take (to collect, to organize, to grade, to hand back...) is too impractical. Besides, I'm not so organized as I would need to be to do it. Our kids have a workbook which really doubles as their textbook. The way I keep them honest is with a weekly quiz. I tell them which pages and which days of material it will cover, so they know what to study in their notes. Instead, I don't collect the homework; I grade their homework on how complete it is -- did they do all the problems? Did they show their work in places they would need? My department head suggests letting kids do work in their heads, but only if they can demonstrate their ability to get right answers that way. I find it takes time for me to get to know the kids before I can tell who really is able to do it in their heads, and whether any student is simply making their homework look completed for credit.
I hope you find some worth in my suggestions; I realize we all teach very differently, and my methods might not fit your style at all. Best of luck with it. Let me know what works for you, if anything!

edit: formatting bulleted list
you should include tax if you're planning on buying from a brick & mortar store for a more accurate projection.
i don't really have anything to say, as there is nothing inherently wrong with your build. but if you're trying to stay true to a budget, you should really be asking yourself if you NEED every single thing.
•a 6950 will perform almost as well as a single 580 at half the price, whereas crossfired 6950s will absolutely dominate any one gpu.
•ssds are great luxuries, but keep in mind that 128gb of space will not be sufficient for most needs. you will need an additional hdd (~$70) to support your ssd ($150). ssds do nothing besides improve load times. that $150 you spend on one could go towards your gpu instead! keep in mind that it's always a possibility to add on a ssd afterwards.
•a lot of your final total goes towards peripherals (~$500). do you need two new screens immediately or can you bare with the one you already have for now? is a $90 webcam really necessary, or will a $7 from amazon be sufficient?

black friday's coming up and is likely to have huge deals on things like monitors and webcams and whatnot. i imagine there won't be some huge sale on things like gpus and processors, so i just went ahead and ordered all of my basic pc components.
I have several official and unofficial Raspberry pi cameras. The official cameras have good image quality and work well during the day, but night vision (even with the official NoIR camera) is a real challenge for them. I would argue that the official NoIR camera is great for IR photography, and "sciencey" projects, but probably not the best option for a night vision security camera.
I'm not sure of the exact brand, but my favorite camera looks exactly like this Makerfocus Night Vision Raspberry Pi camera. The image quality is great, and the IR lamps work flawlessly. I've had one running 24/7 for 6 months, with zero problems.
I'm setting up a photo booth for our wedding, but I wanted to make prints on the spot as party favors. I plan on using SparkBooth ($60) and a color photo printer that I already had. I'm using this camera that I got from Amazon, because I've heard good things about it.
Although SparkBooth isn't free, I think it's great. Optional features include: printing immediately, uploading to facebook/twitter/email, and you can choose the number of photos, where they are placed (based on pre-defined templates that you can use a custom background), and a bunch more settings.
It can also store the photos on the hard drive, which is what it looks like you'll be doing.
I've searched for a viable free software option, but didn't find anything near the quality of SparkBooth.
Capturing the in-game sound is easy as your HDMI capture card will pick up the audio that's being put out by the console over HDMI that's already going to your TV as-is right now today.
The only real hangup is trying to capture the chat audio, if you're using that. The Xbox One has a built-in option to send both the incoming and outgoing chat headset audio over HDMI making chat capture work automagically work if you're already grabbing HDMI. For the likes of the PS4, PS3, 360, Switch, Wii U you will need an analog audio pass-though splitter like the Elgato Chat Link. You then run the output of the splitter into the line-in of your PC and mix that in with your microphone and HDMI audio.
As for the mic itself, what you're looking for is a boundary microphone, which is what those little hockey puck microphones you see in corporate conference rooms are. Cheap examples made just for your use case would be the Plantronics Calisto 610-M and Jabra Speak 410 which are ostensibly conference call speakerphones, but it's the type of device you're looking for. The MXL AC-424 would be a good USB boundary mic that doesn't need an audio interface.
Just be aware that boundary mics are good at picking up room echo, so thing like rugs/carpet on the floor and soft furniture will help a lot.
If you haven't bought the webcam yet, I'd actually get the Logitech C925e over a C922 as the C925e has the exact same optics and sensor as the C922, but in a better mechanical package (built-in lens cover anybody?) and costs less.
I'm 23 with a sister who turned 8 last month. I got her this stop motion kit from Amazon a while back ($50) and she's bananas for it. She'll send me a dumb little video every once in a while and it's a low pressure way for us to stay in touch, and gives her a creative outlet. She has to use a computer for it, I think, so it's possible that just the iPad might not work.
When she was a couple years younger she loved science kits (~$10 online) and art supplies. I also made up a letter writing kit for her (pens, paper, stickers, envelopes, markers, stamps, address book) and she LOVES writing letters and getting responses in the mail.
Our parents are pretty shit, so the biggest hits have been gifts that keep me and her in touch without them as a middle man, or things that help her feel independent of them. Hope that helps. Good luck gift shopping!
I have not used any of these projects so if I were you I would check Amazon reviews. But at his age I would want something like these.
Stopmotion Explosion: Complete HD Stop Motion Animation Kit with HD Camera & Book (Windows & OS X) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009H4Q6YY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cvi3xbQA0KFNN

Another thing he will need is desk lamps and (if he is working with Lego) a Lego baseplate or two. It might be worth it to let him continue using the iPad but purchasing something like this to connect it to a tripod of some sort. I'm assuming he is using an app on the iPad and this would allow him to keep using what he is comfortable with just with better results.
TLDR the kits are cool but using the iPad may be the better option as he is already used to it. I would focus on lights, tripods, and maybe a lego baseplate.
I've heard a lot of good things about the C920 as a proper webcam but honestly I grabbed the cheap Logitech C270 from Amazon it's doing the job pretty well - I've just worked out how to get around the 16FPS problem (I think) and if that works it'll likely be even better :)

Sorry for not replying earlier.
I simply forgot to save my comment.

Okay, well - there are a few mouse that are wireless and would work for you.
This mouse is a very premium mouse, it's more aimed towards productivity, not really gaming. But despite that, it will also work fine for gaming, but it won't be super
There are a bunch of relatively cheap gaming mice on the market. I bought one of these for my brother for Christmas last year and he isn't complaining about it yet. Long battery life and solid tracking. He seems to be happy with it.
---
As for keyboard.. well, for wireless you're stuck with membrane keyboards. Meaning no mechanical switches.
There are wireless mechanical keyboards, but non of them are that good and they're very expensive.
Most wireless keyboards I came across just simply don't look that great for gaming.
This one is actually one that seems to be relatively okay, but well.. don't expect magic from it either. It looks pretty cheap and well.. that's because it is.
So I doubt that you get great software with this (if any at all) and the quality might be a bit.. lack luster.
Wow - that's pretty cool.
Here's a link to the product he uses.
I think that it would be a strange use case for an FPS game. I mean, if you look to the right, the view pans to the right, and the thing that you were looking at is now in the center. Would be pretty unnatural. Ideally just the crosshair would move with the view shifting, but then you'd need a game that had coded in support for this.
Thanks for the link. Tool is a little pricey, but it's good to know how advanced these things are!
Best bang for your buck starter guns will be the G&G CM16 ($180 CAD with free shipping) and the G&G CM16 Raider ($200 CAD) if you think he'll want to put attachments on it in the future.
For eye protection you can get him the Pyramex I-force goggles ($25 CAD off of Amazon) or the Pyramex V2G-XP (also $25 CAD on Amazon), that'll come down to personal preference on which style he prefers. For face protection the OneTigris foldable face mesh ($23 off of Amazon) allows the user to look down the sights well while still offering proper protection.
What I've listed above is probably the simplest and most economical beginner setup for Airsoft up here in Canada. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
And don't forget to check out my list of Canadian Airsoft Retailers to compare prices and see what's close to you!

You’ll definitely want infrared night vision and don’t worry about getting super high resolution because you’ll end up dropping it down for an acceptable FPS anyway. I got that very camera and love it, just wish I would have gotten the wider angle lens version. The other really neat thing is you get to print a case for it :) I have the STL if you end up needing it
Edit: Just read the USB part but I honestly would still go with an actual Pi cam and if you want to add an additional USB later that’s up to you.
> You can use any USB A-C connector that supports quick charge. Ignore all the controversy about people saying "USB type C doesn't support quickcharge"
So, I could use this cable with my HTC supplied wall wart, because this is A to C, and the wall wart is a QC one, and I'd get QC 3 speeds?
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about the A-C that supports QC.
>No, most phones use USB 2 type C. USB 3 only has faster data transfer speeds. However, the port matters. USB 2 delivers only 500mA, USB 3 delivers more.
Again, not QUITE sure I follow. I think what you're saying is that any A-C cable is fine from the wall, but if I want fast transfer speeds from a PC, I need a USB 3 cable. (Sorry, you threw me off when you mentioned current. Surely the current would only matter if this phone used USB 3.0 power delivery? Or is the current somehow related to the data transfer speed?)
What I'm looking at getting is this for use with my HTC wall wart, and a pack of these for in the car/at the office or my desk. Remember, I don't want them to just work, I want them to charge at full QC3 speed when in the car (with the QC car plug I linked) or with the HTC wall wart. I am NOT expecting QC speeds when plugged into a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on a PC (although i'm assuming a USB 3.0 port will perform better?)
Here's my understanding....
The long cable will be handy for charging, and won't be used for transferring data, so the fact that it isn't USB 3.0 doesn't matter.
**The pack of cables will be used for charging OR data transfer - so they're USB 3.0.
USB 3.0 compatibility will neither help nor hinder when charging, but will only be a positive when transferring data.
Basically, what I'm getting is that whether a cable is USB 3 or not doesn't matter for charging when the standard being used is Qualcomm's QC, only if USB 3's power delivery system is being utilised. When QC3 is in play, USB 3.0 only matters for data transfer.
It really just helps me see what I'm focused on in games. It's to coach myself on what I need to do better. It's great for MOBA's and FPS's. This is the one I use https://www.amazon.com/Tobii-Eye-Tracker-4C-PC-gaming/dp/B01MAWPMXQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523380105&sr=8-1&keywords=tobii+eye+tracker+4c andI like it quite a bit.

Do you like high prices and flashy lights?
Becuase if you don't you could get a keyboard with the layout you like, membrane or mechanical for like £40 and a changeable dpi mouse with extra buttons for like £20 but hey flashy lights.
There's so much choice for other non-rgb keyboards just browse through amazon and see which one you like the look of.
I'd recommend this mouse
It can be worth it, you’ll get about 8-9% extra performance. The best thing is to youtube a game you want to play and then 1660. Look at the performance and see if it’s what you want. If not then get the 1660ti. The 1660 super is supposed to be released on the 29th, so you can wait for that unless your desperate.
The PSU is on amazon, just PCPP is glitched and it can’t find the listing. Find it here.
Instead of the XFX power supply, consider the EVGA 500W white. It costs pretty much the same and comes with really nice sleeved cables. If you haven't already, check out CiT cases. It's up to personal preference but I think some of the cases (F3 series, Dragon³) look really nice. Solid build, maybe grab up some extra hard drives when you need them but if you don't need storage then don't bother. Good luck with the build.
Sidenote - Nice, cheap peripherals (I've used for 2 years now)

I don't think the Logitech 900 series webcameras are that in your face and it matches my UW setup pretty well. Granted I didn't recently move over from apple fashion tech like you but I think it's about as in your face as an imac camera. I never notice it up there unless I need it and it works really well. Here is my setup on top of my u3415w with the flip cover installed, hopefully this helps.
PICS
If that didnt help maybe a round one will work? Or a square one? Or maybe just place it below your monitor? You could always just hide it behind the monitor when not in use.
Oh wow I had no idea consumer grade depth cameras that do background removal existed but apparently they totally do. E.g. found this one https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Stargazer-Depth-Sensing-Webcam-1080P/dp/B01GE9QM5M Thank you for the tip 😊 Reviews aren't great though, I think this tech is still really early...
Hey Down! We do a 2 man cast every weeknight (and sometimes bring on extra people). If you want to catch everyone's voice, I wholly suggest you pick up a Blue Yeti Mic.
This thing is great, as long as no one talks like a mouse (and it's properly configured) it will pick up everything. As for blocking out the sound of the TV - there is no way to avoid this if sound is coming out of the TV (otherwise you'll get horrible reverb). What will need to happen is that everyone will need a headset coming from the computer. (obviously you'll need to split the connection).
As for getting everyone in frame - that depends wholly on how much space you have, how far back the camera can be and if people are willing for the camera to be in front of the TV (we play with our camera in front of the TV - you eventually get use to it). We've managed to stream before with 4 people on our couch, it was rather cramped, but the camera, a Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p was able to mostly get us all into the frame at a range of about 2-3 feet away from us.
If you want to see all of this in action - you can check out our profile here: http://www.twitch.tv/overboredgaming/profile
Here's a VOD of 4 people on screen using the equipment I mentioned above: http://www.twitch.tv/overboredgaming/b/410879757 (skip ahead to about the 13:35 min mark).
I Hope this helps man! Happy streaming!
You can pick up a cheap network cam for about $200. A pi and webcam with enclosures and shipping would cost you about the same. The advantage is that network cam is specialize and has nifty mounts. The pi-cam is completely customizable. I comes down to what you want.
EDIT: I seem to have set off a crap storm here. Here were I get the cost:
Total Price: $154 for hardware that can only do about 6 frames / second at full resolution. The advantage of the PI is that you can customize it anyway you want. The disadvantage is it's very under powered. I have heard that Beagle Bone Black's can get up to 25 fps with a similar setup (under best conditions).
I was thinking of an IP camera like this one, or maybe a step up.
For your current build? Get 1440p60, probably. IPS is unnecessary for gaming, SVA panels are nice as of late. Could also get 1080p144.
Consider MAG241C, C24G1, MAG240VC for 1080p144.
For 1440p60 it really depends. This guy is a solid pick for 1440p144 on the cheap, but if you don't think you'll hit high FPS in the games you play, you could settle for something like this.
I can elaborate on panel types if you want.
So I have a Logitech C910 which has since been succeeded by the C920. I didn't pay anywhere near the list price for it though because I got it on a Black Friday sale a few years back. I invested a bit more in my camera because back then it was my primary point of contact for my girlfriend and some friends who live around the country.
That being said, I'm a big fan of the Logitech brand and the C910 was my second Logitech camera. In terms of budget webcams, I have heard good things about the C310: Here
Oddly enough it looks like it might actually be the deal of the day for about $15 off of what Amazon usually sells it for (you can see that info here: Price Tracker)
The Microsoft Lifecams Here are nice too, but a bit more expensive and I've had a little more trouble with those. My girlfriend has a Lifecam and the picture quality is great, but for whatever reason her computer has trouble detecting it. In order to make it work she has to unplug and replug the camera each time she boots her PC. I'm not saying that's common, just an issue I've personally been involved with.
Modified a Microsoft Lifecam and 3D printed a 1.25" housing for it. (Modified from instructions here)
Running Windows 7 in a virtual box on my Mac. The software that came with the camera was causing some problems in that Windows partition, so I just used QuickTime video capture on my Mac partition. I believe it only captured at about 10 fps (should be 30).
Stacked in Registrax (first time using this also - feel free to suggest any tips!).
I have since got some camera control software (Webcam Settings, and working on getting Camera-Control to work for usb webcam as well) on the Mac side and hope to be able to capture some better images soon in the future!
Cheers for the speedy responses. It's a matter of around £12, I'm mainly concerned with what's more efficient its between these two models:

I’ve been using the AUKEY USB-C Wall charger (56.5W) from Amazon, link (www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CPLRTSJ) and the Belkin Boost USB-C Cable from the Apple store. I’ve been using both together since day 1 of my iPhone XS Max (8 months) and so far my battery health is still 100%.
You will need a streaming HDMI capture card like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/AVerMedia-PlayStation-Latency-Hardware-Encoding/dp/B007UXJ6LE
Then you will need a camera with clean HDMI out. Not many cameras do that.

It might be easier to get a quality webcam.

Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam (Q2F-00013) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0096KSBB0/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_tFbHwbG7Y6ZE1
This is what have and it works great. Pan and tilt and even has thread for a tripod mount if you don't want it on top of a monitor or on your desk.
The mount is flexible to contour to a bunch of surfaces and monitor types.
I've used the Aukey charger on that list for several months now without issue, and it's been good for my phone too.
Basically you'd want any charger from a reputable brand the supports ~60W (similar to the included Huawei charger) should be fine.
It really depends on the setup you want. I used a headset for a long time that had good audio and sound for the price. Was a plantronics gamecom 780., But really, any mic will do for the most part. If you just want a basic USB mic, id go with something like this and as for a webcam Id go with the Logitech C525 which I actually still use for my "cat cam" since upgrading my cam a while ago to the C920. So about $60 for a decent setup that wont disappoint. The main thing with the microphone is to properly setup all the necessary filters to get the most out of it

Personally, I'm using a Logitech C270. It's a 720p webcam which imo is good enough and pretty much a budget cam.
ah, thanks. hopefully, this will work

I use this one

Not the cheapest nor the smallest but good quality PD charger and you get 2 additional ports to recharge phones and other devices.
If you are looking for a more budget-friendly webcam, then the
Microsoft LifeCam Cinemais for you. It has a maximum resolution of 720p, with HD video up to 30 FPS. It sits on a 360-degree swivel mount and the True Color Technology automatically boosts the image quality of the broadcast.Pros:

You can probably do it with the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C:

Using this: https://help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/articles/210245345-Getting-started-with-Streaming-Gaze-Overlay
I have not seen anyone do it but this has peaked my interest. I might just order one of these cameras to try this out.
I'm looking to upgrade my monitor do any of you have some suggestions? It should be / have:
I have already got my eye on the Dell S2719DGF, any reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger on this one? Are there better options within the same price category?
I'm looking to buy my friend a new PSU after his old cheapo one died after installing a GTX 760 he was gifted, the system has an FX-8350, EVGA GTX 760 SC and 8GB RAM, would this CX 550w be enough? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020122-UK-CX650-Bronze-Power-Supply/dp/B06X9BV5PR/ref=dp_ob_title_ce?th=1
He does not plan to overclock since it's running a close to stock CPU cooler and only one case fan, and we are also on a pretty limited budget.
Get your internet checked! Have your internet providers come out to see if anythings wrong with your internet. My gal has over the top wiring to her house (telephone poles) and apparently the coax line that fed her house was patched with duct-tape and eventually water seeped in and it was destroying her internet connectivity.
Also make sure you are using high quality equipment. Personally, I use the Blue Yeti Pro condenser microphone for audio and a [Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p] (http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-LifeCam-Studio-Webcam-Q2F-00013/dp/B0096KSBB0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397430677&sr=8-1&keywords=microsoft+hd+webcam) for video.
Also, ensure that you have enough bandwidth on both ends. I believe the recommended amount of speed for a decent audio/video call is 1 megabit per second for both upload and download speeds.
Hope this helps!
If you want to go a little cheaper, the C525 is still quite good and costs about $30.
Sorry for the late reply. Here's a selection of PSUs, increasing in price. All normally reliable, according to this list.
Super expensive and honestly, it looks god awful. I personally run a OneTigris PJ Fast Helmet (cost me 50€), OneTigris foldable mesh mask (cost me 15€) and goggles are MFH Thunder Deluxe (cost me 30€,can't find 'em on amazon.ca), I just removed the fake plastic vents on the goggles and it's not fogging up for me.
I use this external webcam.
It's got a really good mic built in.
so this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020121-UK-CX550-Bronze-Supply/dp/B06X9BV5PR/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Corsair+cx550&qid=1568022338&s=gateway&sr=8-1

It is only £15 more than the original so I am happy to swap that in if needed.
You could just get something like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/AUKEY-Charger-Delivery-MacBook-Nintendo/dp/B07CPLRTSJ/ref=pd_sbs_107_6/261-7030143-9485961?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07CPLRTSJ&pd_rd_r=aea32d71-57b4-11e9-afc1-6daec49bb716&pd_rd_w=BBBSL&pd_rd_wg=hxeuy&pf_rd_p=18edf98b-139a-41ee-bb40-d725dd59d1d3&pf_rd_r=V5T587MNPMVX50BDD1P7&psc=1&refRID=V5T587MNPMVX50BDD1P7 obv the EU 2 prong version, and then buy a usb c-c 3.0 power delivery cable? I'm thinking of doing this actually.
Fortunately there are new products in your price range that support Windows 7!

Could too much PSU blow my system? I found this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020121-UK-CX550-Bronze-Supply/dp/B06X9BV5PR/ref=asc_df_B06X9BV5PR/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310773493424&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14923091864403321691&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046187&hvtargid=pla-564321261511&psc=1&th=1&psc=1

Would that work or is there a chance for it to blow my system?

Edit: Actually, how much PSU do you think would be required? Is 550 overkill?
We use this one, and while we haven’t tested any others, it seems to work nicely. Logitech C525

did some more searching and wanted your opinion on this one? i think its semi modular like you suggested
Beginner here!
I need help for identifying if I'm wasting money on certain parts or if there is some stuff that isn't compatible between the monitor and the PC in terms of FPS/Hz and that kinda stuff
I'll be using my PC with a Dual Monitor Setup for, entry level CAD (Autodesk + Photoshop) , gaming, research and revising (and the occasional youtube videos)
Will my build be able to run two monitors smoothly? these are the kinda questions i don't know the answer to
144 FPS Build
If you have low budget - just look at gotomeeting and their products. Avoid Skype and webex like the plague. We recently switched everyone over to gotomeeting and its been going pretty well.
I also 2nd Lifesize equipment - but, its gonna cost you at the very least $900 dollars - give or take.

Is this ok?
yea I'm looking at that now. It seems sometimes IR cut off means no IR and sometimes means only IR. I'll be careful.
In a perfect world I'd find there is a kind of clear spray that works and I could coat a small piece of plexy. Or that some eye glasses do it and could make a lens out of that.... or I would find the Microsoft HD webcam does it out of the box.
http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-LifeCam--Webcam-Q2F-00013/dp/B0096KSBB0/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1416078037&sr=1-4&keywords=hd+webcam
i'd just get 2 of the cheaper monitors and buy a webcam. the built in one is like 2 megapixels, pretty shitty. i suggest this:

I recently bought this charger, works fine with the laptop, doesnt come with the USB C cable though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CPLRTSJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_DBb0CbX49WG2M
Any charger with a UK plug should work in theory though as usually they'll be designed for the UK outlet spec
Logitech C270 gets 1280x720 @ 30 FPS source while a PS3 camera gets 640x480 @ 60FPS, and 320x240 @ 120 FPS source.
So it depends on whether you want high FPS or high res.
This is the high speed cable I am talking about, it's USB 3.1 and not 3.0.
This is a USB C to USB C for when I want to hook my S8 up to my laptop.
Wireless charging pad. This is not quickcharge because that isn't possible using wireless charging.
Multiport charger, 3 ports are 2 amps (regular amperage) and 2 ports are quick charge. My clock and wireless charging pad are connected to the 2 amp ports, and the charging cable included with the S8 is connected to the quick charge port.
This is a car charger I have never used but I had a discount when I bought it with the multiport charger so yeah...
This is the pack of regular USB to Type C cables I use in my cars, bags...
I have a Celestron 44104 with a Microsoft Lifecam studio connected to the eye peice.
Or even use this one

I need to connect the msi twin frozr 770 and that requires 2 8 pins right?

I would grab the 1060 but I would consider a cheaper model (edit: BT shop has no estimated delivery date so would probably avoid, though I would still look around on retailers separately for cheaper models since PCPP don't always list the cheapest price).
Also would look into changing the power supply since the XFX is a tier 5 PSU
The Corsair CX550W (2017) is a little more expensive but is tier 3 with a five year warranty.
Microsoft makes a good webcam.
