🎓 Reddit experts on xbox one accessories
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where xbox one accessories are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
>It is. Which is why i dont agree with people bitching about how "slow" the switches hardware is. If the games on it are good (which they are), why the fuck does it matter?
Dead Cells is a fine example of why it matters.
It's a great game if you have even the most remote interest in Metroidvanias. It runs like shit on the Switch. The crappy framerates of the game significantly impact the gameplay in a game where careful timing and reflexes are required.
>I have a 3ds. While yes, they have good games, most of them are clerly designed to be purely portable games. Not to mention the fact that with my large hands, i find holding the 3ds for longer than 10 minuets at a time to be very uncomfortable. Which is why the switch is better. Not only is it more comfortable in hand held, not only can i have multiple controller options, but i can dock it and play it on my TV as well.
They make grip cases for both the Switch and the 3DS that significantly improve their feel. My hands hurt holding either of them outside their cases. For the Switch, I recommend the Satisfye grip although the Skull and Co Gripcase is a close second. For the 3ds, I personally use the Monster Hunter Cross that I've modded with a rubberized grip. This is a pretty expensive option, however, so there are cheaper ones for people who don't want to invest that much.
>Exactly. And my PC does PC things and is a superior gaming machine to my Switch. But most games that i can play on one or the other, most time, i prefer the switch. I have emulators on my phone as well. But id still rather have those games on the switch because its a better platform for gaming than a Phone is.
I disagree. I use a cheap little xbox controller phone clip to hold my phone when I game. The controller connects bluetooth and provides a generally superior experience to gaming with my Switch. My phone has better audio, a better screen, and a more powerful processor. It also has free cloud saves and can connect to the internet without wifi (anbd has a superior wifi antennae).
>Ill take the taller screen, but even that said.. your arguing over .2" as if its a huge deal. Its not.
No, it's not. The OLED vs LED is though.
I’m sure there are a ton for more hardcore gamers than me, but I use the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and love them. They’re wireless but have a good charge life, charge quickly, very comfortable (I have glasses too) and you just flip the mic up to mute which is super convenient for me compared to old pairs. They’re also much more durable than previous pairs.
You can definitely find better, I’m sure, but they’re def worth checking out for a cheaper price tag. Good luck with whatever you decide!
I actually loved the GBA SP design. It wasn't comfortable for games like Mario Kart, but since I was mainly playing stuff like FF:Tactics or Golden Sun, it was fantastic. However, the GBA SP had a screen that weighed almost nothing.
I think you can kind of "test" out the ergonomics of this a bit if you get a phone-clamp to attach an Android/iOS to an Xbox/Nimbus controller. Preferably a bigger, heavier phone if you have one available. Maybe stack two of them to simulate the weight. See how it feels. Example clamp:
phone clamp for xbox controller (amazon.com)
I suspect it'll be top-heavy. The gains may not outweigh the disadvantages. But I'm just guessing, maybe it'd be workable!
FWIW, something like the RDS GoPlay grip makes holding the Switch in handheld mode very comfortable. It's certainly doesn't make it narrower (actually it adds some width), but it's significantly more comfortable than a naked Switch, and doesn't introduce any weight or center-of-gravity issues.

Regarding the headset, if you have the money, I'd suggest the Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Seven.
>I've got a pair myself and it's absolutely the coolest thing I have for my Xbox One. See, the Xbox One will actually send game audio over the wireless controller. This means that you can turn off or mute your sound system and only use the headset for both chat and game audio. It's been incredibly handy for me when I want to play a game, but my wife is asleep. Even better is that I can watch Netflix or YouTube the same way. The adapter it comes with has buttons that allow you to turn down the game audio relative to chat volume as well, so if your game audio is overbearing or you only want to use the headset for chat, you can.
>Now, there is a cheaper version of the XO Seven called the XO Four. It runs about eighty bucks, but it doesn't have a noise cancelling mic. Depending on how loud your sound system is, this may or may not be a big deal for you. Regardless of which one you choose, they both come with the stereo headset adapter so everything you need is included.
>You will probably have to update your controller's firmware before you use it, though. It's easy, and the instructions for doing so are included with the headset. Just make sure you've got a micro USB cable handy.
I'd also suggest the Nyko Charge Base for Xbox One.
> Nothing beats rechargeable batteries. Having a place to keep your controller and charge it is just awesome. I've had mine since the Xbox One was released and I've never once had any issues or even had to bother charging my controller in the middle of a play session. It's great to be able to set the controller in the charging dock when you aren't using it and have a fully-charged battery the next time you use it.
There are tons of ways to do this legit, through headsets and mixamps but the easiest way to get party chat to to heard on stream is to output the party chat through your speakers. That will get the party to be able to be picked up by the hdmi cord thats going to the capture card.
There are a few issues though. 1. You can't adjust the party's volume without increasing the entire capture cards audio at once. 2. Since its considered 'game audio' from the capture device it is gonna be delayed. So unless you have already sync'd your audio with your mic so it offsets any delay from the capture card, your responses to the party chat will be early and their replies will seem really late.
For xbox you can connect to party chat through the windows 10 xbox app and the stream will hear the party chat from there. Gives you more control over the volume to. Unsure if there is a feature like this for ps4 though.
You can also use a headset with a mix amp to record party chat. the Astros A40 TR Headset w/ MixAmp has this ability though it is expensive.
Sadly, I can't comment on any of this since I was in a similar situation a few years ago.
However, I can share you my story ... I was looking for a decent Headset for my Xbox360. I wanted the Astro Gaming A40 (
ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Headset + MixAmp Pro TR (Xbox One) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B014H2T84K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_w2V8BbYSNWYJ9), but I had issues with its price - $399 when it came out. I end up using the TurtleBeach, but most of my frends are Gaming Enthusiasts and they play longer that I do. But at the end it was the price.
3 years had passed and Best Buy had a Boxing Day sale (Canada's Black Friday deals) and I got it for 55% off, with my GF's approval. I was already scheduled off for the week and I played a total of 60+ hours (longest was 11hours staright) and no signs of strains or pains in my head. Most of the Pro gamers still uses this and I use there practical use.
I am on my 3rd console and its still works like new!!!
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V7WFzm5m1VZZTv7CKSAs_zM30kHINX69/view?usp=drivesdk
Good Luck with you and at the end of the day its really what you want.
Besides being more comfortable, the XB1's dpad is significantly better. For example, I couldn't wall jump in Super Metroid with the 360 controller, and was only able to get past that part when I got an XB1 controller.
On the other hand, I completed Dark Souls with the 360 controller and it was a great experience. So I would get this $25 360 pad if you're on a budget, otherwise for greater comfort and usable dpad, I'd prefer the $73 Xbox 1 controller.
have you thought of just modding a regular controller?
https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Xbox-One-Mod-Pack/dp/B07H4MPJ5X/
https://www.amazon.com/Bionik-Quickshot-for-Xbox-One/dp/B01N1QO0TS/
i tried the elite controller but just wasn't a fan of how all the parts could come off, so i stick to a regular controller since they're way easier to replace and i love the bluetooth functionality. i use the x1 controller with the snes classic and emulators on my android devices and it works wonderfully.
i could understand if you got too used to the paddles though. i would have loved those when i was really into online fps a while ago.
Hands down the best headset I have ever owned is the turtle beach stealth 500x. They are amazing. 100% wireless, great sound, 3 levels of mic monitoring and tons of other features with presets and things. Ear muffs are kinda stiff for my liking so I removed them and put the cushions from my x41's on. Much softer feel. Battery lasts about 4-5 days when its been fully charged and that playing like 4-5 hours a night on avg. I also use them to watch TV when not playing games they are that great!

I purchased the Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Seven headset a few months back and am extremely happy. Right now they're going for $99.97 on Amazon. There's only one wire that goes right into the controller, it's a comfortable fit (I have a huge head), the sound is top notch, and my friends all say the mic sounds crystal clear. I've been using a set of first gen Astro A40s that come with the Astro MixAmp Pro (Xbox One Version). It connects straight to the Xbox with a fiber cable for audio and a USB cable for Power and Microphone into the xbox. It contains two knobs, one for overall volume and one for mixing between Game and Gamechat
On Prime Day the first gen A40s were $150 but they're currently $235. If you were to decide to get that headset, I'd say spend the extra $15 (Assuming you're in the US) and get the Second Gen Astro A40s

My personal setup is way more complicated than what you will need but I use a 3 way fiber switch so I can switch to the audio coming from either my 360 or XB1 into the MixAmp.
Then I have a 3 way HDMI switch so my 360, XB1, or Laptop can go into my main monitor when I need it. Before it hits the monitor my Elgato HD60 S intercepts the signal so I can use the signal for streaming.
The MixAmp also has a aux input that I plug either my phone or laptop into so I have two sources coming in to my headset. The only issue with doing that is the volume has to be controlled by the laptop or phone itself or you just adjust the Game / Gamechat knob since it's in the Gamechat signal.
It is optional but I also got the mod kit which comes with new ear cushions, speaker tags that help with noise cancellation, padded headband and a better than stock mic. It's $60 and comes in a bunch of different colors but it helps a lot IMO.

Hope the info helps.
Edit: Photos of setup
If you're looking for cheap but good go for Power A. This is one of the few brands that can survive my kids. They usually have pretty good button feel for a cheaper alternative as well.
https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Enhanced-Wired-Controller-Xbox-One/dp/B07DHY6YLM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=xbox+one+powera+controller&qid=1556031714&s=gateway&sr=8-3
Personally I use a micro USB cable with the standard Microsoft controllers. They are more expensive but they last longer and typical repairs (new thumbsticks and sensors) are actually cheap and easy to do.
I was looking for a decent controller charger / battery charger as I already have the play and charge kit. I have two controllers.
I had an ORB one for the 360 but the battery life tended to be poor with the custom batteries, so I grabbed this officially licensed one (as Amazon advertised), and it's pretty good.
Normal battery life, but as I have two controllers I just take one off and put the other one on charge. You can also push down on the edges of the charging stand to have the controllers just 'sit there' instead of being charged, really useful. Batteries seem great so far. Not particularly cheap though.
Another option is a rechargeable battery plug. You plug it into the wall and just put your rechargeable batteries into it. They're not exactly expensive. Edit: There's also those USB rechargeable batteries, they look cool, but I haven't tried them.
I use this:
CTA Digital Multi-Function Carrying Case - Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I902D7Q/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_x1hLwbZF8RQ95
Nice and sturdy, not too big, everything, including the Xbox fits snug so it feels secure, and the grip is a joy on my hands. Seriously great since I go to my friends a town over to game all the time.
Hey OP, not for nothing but after doing a quick google search, it looks like you bought a different converter than I have.
While I'm sure their "Super Converter" is good, I would be remiss if I didn't highly recommend you return it and get yourself their "X ONE Adapter".
It's totally wireless and allows you to use your Elite on PS4 and Switch.
I got mine here, for $50: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078W3JRLL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Gm05BbZVAH4VP
I bought a PowerA controller and while I like the ergonomics of it, the construction quality isn't the greatest. The A button started to stick after a short time and one of the bumpers started to misfunction. I had a super hard time getting it replaced through their customer service and eventually had to bitch at their twitter account to get a replacement one. Then the A button started to jam quickly on that one too. I was able to open it up and do some work and fix it, but that obviously isn't ideal.
I'd suggest just getting a new controller if you still have the option to at best buy until they improve their quality standards.
If you are looking for a decent cheap controller, I've heard good things about this one.
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Xbox-One-Wired-Controller-Version/dp/B07D12RPHX/ref=zg_bs_6469279011_9?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=ACT0A4XB9N92RQPCXGB8&th=1

Although I don't personally own it.
get something like this and a couple of these for the controllers and it becomes a really awesome setup. Well, it's already awesome, just needs some tidying up.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600s
i just got these and they are amazing. and only $80 at best buy. I did wish i sprung the extra $25 and got the stealth 700s because they also have bluetooth.
But even without bluetooth, i find these to sound fantastic. I use them almost all the time im watching tv/movies or games. My surround sound is barely on anymore.
I don't own these headsets, but pretty much all reviews agrees that Astro A40 and Astro A50 are the best high end headsets you can buy.

Is this for a phone? If so, have a PS4 or Xbox One controller? Just get a phone clip. I don't use my PS4 controller via Bluetooth, so I can't attest to that, but my X1 controller is just perfect. Especially now that I got a phone clip for it. My Note 10+ fits perfectly.

I actually just bought the Turtle Beach 600 Stealth to replace my XO4 wired headset. Mainly because they’re wireless, has a great mic, and has mic monitoring. These hit all of your checkboxes for $89.
Bonus: They are glasses friendly.
Edit: Wireless support on Xbox does not require a dongle as they connect the same way your controller connects.

I have a case for my switch and my pro controller separately because I don't want to damage my controller. I use this for my switch and this for my Pro Controller and they both work great and I think are pretty compact. They both easily fit in my messenger bag with my laptop whenever I go to school.
It's definitely padded enough, but I feel the bottom could use just a little more padding. I may slide some socks or something down in there to cushion it.
I can try to add pictures of it later if that would help.
I almost got that briefcase myself, but went with the Sleeve instead because it fit in my roller bag. It was ok, just not big enough for much else. I'm so glad I found this backpack haha
Just ordered the [AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories](AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories -Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002VPE1QG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kOdRyb9KD5H76) to house the power brick and mouse, etc. and an [Xbox One Controller Carrying Case](For Microsoft Xbox One / Xbox One S Wireless Controller Travel EVA Protective Case Carrying Pouch Cover Bag Compact size by Hermitshell https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D159YQQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tRdRybG97155F) as well. So, I'll update with how that works out too.
these are really good for the price and there are the 700 series that cost alittle more but i honestly am very happy with the 600 series
/u/ajiveturkey - This is the case i got for my pro controller. Yes this says X1 but it fits the pro just as well. Its hard shell as well so buttons dont get accidently pressed. I travel a lot for work so this has allowed me to put a controller into checked luggage and not worry about it, or be afraid a button press will try to wake up the switch while its in a case.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D159YQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
EDIT: Yes, the case did kinda smell for me. but its the plasticky fresh out of the factory smell. If you air it out it will eventually go away.
Turtle Beach 420x and 420x+ are nice. I would look for prices closer to $120 or less before buying, unless you're in a pinch. Use camelcamelcamel.com for Amazon price history.

Newer model (adds "Superhuman Hearing," up to you if you want/need this):
https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Stealth-Wireless-Headset-Superhuman/dp/B01JS3F7AW
--
PROS
Fully wireless, no cables to the controller
Long battery life
Reliable so far (5+ friends have them, zero issues)
Clear voice chat (me, and all friends with them sound great)
Comfy (although this is preference)
--
CONS
Price ($100-150)
Have to charge them (I charge nightly, although once in a while miss a charge and still OK the next day)
Only stereo sound (however you can still hear stuff "behind" you regardless, if that makes sense)
Takes up a USB port w/ wireless receiver
USB dongle is somewhat bright and blinks while not connected, can be distracting if you plug into a font port and your Xbox is in view
--
There are also two new headsets incoming that I'm watching - both are fully wireless but also surround.

CTA Digital makes one that's inexpensive and perfect for the Xbox One and One S. there's a zipping pouch for the Kinect that fits the power brick and cables perfect, and it has room for at least 1 controller. If you have the One S then you just get extra storage without a power brick. I've used it for a year and traveled with it a lot. Perfect for the car or on a plane as your personal item. Amazon Link
I think you'd be better off buying a carrying case and portable monitor, separately. The quality of the products is going to be better individually, as is the price. Plus, you'll have better luck with defects/returns if you stick with name-brands; can't say I've heard much about "Gaems" outside of these all-in-one cases.
Well-reviewed case for $27: http://www.amazon.com/CTA-Digital-Multi-Function-Carrying-Case-Xbox/dp/B00I902D7Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1451256010&sr=1-1&keywords=xbox+one+carrying+case

Can recommend the charging dock by Power A/BD&A. Works perfectly, looks great - http://www.amazon.com/BD-Charging-Station-Xbox-One/dp/B00NQT48NM/
This one is considerably smaller than the standard xbone controller and works amazing. Best 3rd party controller i ever bought. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01J36HGC6/ref=zg_bs_6469279011_16?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4T7FJPHKTKR4TE4FP6JX
I use this one from PowerA.
Quality wise I am satisfied. Sure it doesn't feel quite as good as an official one but it is fine. The sticks feel good. The triggers do have a cheap feel, for the price I don't notice.
Compatibility will be a hit or miss I think. Mostly it just works and is recognized as an Xbox pad. Steam works. It is all about the device IDs. If you can find a way to edit the reported USB device ID to the offical pad it would function exactly the same way.
I don't know about with emulators. I have had just one game not recognize the controller and that is Dirt Rally. The fix is to add my pads ID to the
inputconfiguration.json
in the game files. Surely other games would have this issue but not many.I'm in exactly the same position as you, and as I don't right now have the money to spend on a scuff or a cinch, I've actually just picked up one of these
https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Enhanced-Wired-Controller-Xbox-One/dp/B07DHY6YLM/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537582843&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=enhanced+xbox+controller&dpPl=1&dpID=41Bnmj45hGL&ref=plSrch
I haven't really had a chance to try it yet but I can let you know how it goes if you like, I really bought it so I could try out the extra buttons before spending big on one of the big brands. It does feel kind of cheap to be honest and I don't think it will be a main controller for anyone who plays a lot ... but just to try out the extra buttons it should be ok............ I think!
They removed the proprietary port in favor of more USB ports. Going forward, devices like Kinect apparently won't use simple, keyed ports anymore and will just use standards (even if that means separating power or using two USB ports for instance).
The Kinect will officially have a converter for USB 3.x that also allows people to use it on PC. Pretty nifty, and though less wieldy it's my preferred option as I've bought a Kinect for PC already for development.
Append:
The adapter is also available for pre-order
I bought this case and it is amazing. Excellent fit and this case solved this same problem for me
i got this in white. . . one for both of our model 3's. both work great! bad reviews are from the 1st gen of the controller. 2nd gen apparently doesn't have any problems and it's made by amazon so apparently they back it well if it does break. so far it's been great!

It's 74.99 everywhere, but I may just go to Best Buy and get a controller for $40 + Play and Charge Kit for $25 = $65
I went with THIS ONE works great, never had an issue, and the controllers can just sit upon it.
What a nice Playstationer :)
I have the XO sevens made by Turtlebeach. So far they've been great. They are extremely comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. It comes with a detachable mic boom, which is nice too. I had a pair of the official Microsoft headphones before and they were garbage. The XO sevens are a bit pricey, but in my experiences, it's worth it.

Best controller? I'd definitely say the xbox one elite because of the paddles on the back. You could also just get a battery pack that has paddles. They're a lot cheaper, and work with your existing controller.
The paddles are important because they allow you to keep your thumb on the right analog stick. I switched from controller to MKB in open beta because I didn't like the idea of having to move my thumb to GBC, dodge, or feint.
I'm not sure about best controller settings. You definitely want to lower your dead zone setting to probably 5. Someone might be able to recommend good controller settings.

Thanks. I like the clean look. I picked a pair off Amazon: Controller Gear Officially Licensed Xbox One Controller Stand by Controller Gear - Xbox One
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B072M6WZSY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_Xfl8BbEQGDXQT
Now I am unsure of the limitations of the Bluetooth honestly but I'm pretty sure you can mix audio. The tb I have let's me do it with a cable so I imagine Bluetooth works the same way. Your pc just need Bluetooth
Thanks! I absolutely fell in love with GMK Violet Tendencies. Here is the link to the stand. Controller Gear Controller Stand v1.0 - Officially Licensed - Black - Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PRDEZN8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ToqMDbMQRB6RN
While these https://www.amazon.com/POWER-PLAY-CHARGE-KIT-XBOX-ONE/dp/B01D8E1F8U may not be the best, they do have a major advantage for me. Ease of changing the battery pack/charging. I have dexterity issues and these are very easy to swap out in a heartbeat when needed. They also charge directly off of the XB1 USB port. You can also opt for a charging stand if you desire. Just my opinion (and what works for me).
Don’t buy SCUF. They’ll disintegrate within a few months. Go to Amazon and find some OEM side rails. If you don’t want to fork out $40 for the OEM parts; there are some that are nearly identical to OEMs and cost the same as the SCUF grips.
Here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0Q0QI8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_r.GhDbCB3VBQZ
Yes, the SCUF grips are cheap and feel great out of the box. I thought the same thing. Then a few months in, the rubber on one of the thumbsticks felt loose and started to pull away from the metal. Even then, I told myself “no biggie, I’ll just replace it with another thumbstick.” Then another thumbstick went. Suddenly, the grips started to feel like they’d expanded. They had. The rubber had deformed and expanded like a sponge. On top of all that, the SCUF logo pattern had taken on a ton of grime that I’d never gotten on my stock elite grips.
All of that happened within six months. I’m a neat freak and make a legitimate effort to keep my stuff clean. Save yourself the headache of having to replace your grips in six months and just order OEM parts. Anything but SCUF.
I got these for mine and they look like the originals. Hopefully they ship to NZ
EDIT: Easy to install too. Took less than 5 min.
There is this
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Xbox One https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071ZRTMXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_l5IKAbFZRVTK5
But its but its a big headset, but it shows there is 3rd party support for Headsets using the wireless communications protocol, or Microsoft themselves
Has anyone used the Brooke X One adapter? I have an XBox Elite controller that I want to use it with. I have the pro controller but it already seems like it's on its way out.
Here is the link for anyone who is interested.

Here's one on the economic friendly side. I really like it but it does not have much protection. It's better for car rides. It does the job.
Do you have an xbox one remote? Plugging that straight into the computer will work.
If not here are some links to amazon pages, They are actually pretty cheap.

Microsoft made a USB adapter for that reason. So you can still use it just gotta get your hands on the adapter. They were giving them out free to people who had a kinect but i'm not sure it they are still free.
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Kinect-Adapter-One-Windows-10/dp/B01GVE4YB4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1502581018&sr=8-2&keywords=kinect+usb+adapter
Xbox One controllers made by Microsoft all work as both wired and wireless controllers.
My guess is that the $20 one you saw is a third party one, like this one made by PowerA which looks almost identical to a Microsoft one: -
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Enhanced-Wired-Controller-Xbox-One/dp/B07DHY6YLM/
All third party controllers are wired only, as MS doesn't allow companies to license the Xbox Wireless technology when it comes to controllers.
I have one of [these] (https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Multi-Function-Carrying-Case-Xbox-XB1-MFC/dp/B00I902D7Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1495134352&sr=1-3&keywords=xbox%2Bone%2Bcase&th=1) for the Xbox One and it works great for Wii U.
I recommend a bubble-wrap envelope to stick the console in and a Tomee gamepad case.
PowerA Play & Charge Kit For Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D8E1F8U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2C8DDb7MWZ9W1 Best and most reliable. You can charge with any mini usb cord or with a standard controller charging dock. Also comes with really long mini usb cord.

OP wants this, but to fit a pro controller. It would work exactly like this does.
Had this for a year. The quality is superb and the shoulders still click like day one to this day, and I'm pretty heavy on how I use it because I play Devil May Cry 4 religiously. Highly recommend it bud.

Normal batteries or rechargeables? If rechargeables, originals or third party? I was close to my controller when one of these started to melt, luckily it smelled burning plastic before there was an actual fire. Now I just use original rechargeables ones. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Play-Charge-Kit-Plus-Officially/dp/B01D8E1F8U/ref=mp_s_a_1_14?keywords=xbox+rechargable+battery+pack&qid=1565603741&s=gateway&sprefix=Xbox+re&sr=8-14
Well, you're in luck - because Controller Gear is selling them for only $5 on Amazon, now!
That's a no-brainer!
This is the one I use. I got mine at my local Walmart for like $4 cheaper but they’re the same thing. The downsides of it are it has to be plugged in all the time (it comes with a 10ft cord) and I can’t figure out any of the other things it does lol
It’s supposed to be able to a whole bunch of stuff, but I just use it for the paddles.
Edit: I forgot to add that sometimes my friends complain about static or feedback coming from my mic, but I just unplug and re-plug it in, and it fixes it.

and it comes with the adaptor

The X One adapter is 100% wireless
As for the price? It’s $50, that’s up to you if you think it’s too expensive. I however think that’s a great price. I use it all the time, so it’s certainly worth it.
Yeah, wireless was just a bonus for me. So the ones you have don't connect to the controller, just the console, and the mixamp is basically a substitute for the usual adapter connected to the controller? Btw, they're a little cheaper on Amazon, so that's nice.
Edit: Btw, I sit about 10ft from my Xbox, so I won't have an issue with the wires, right?
If you already have one, that's great, but if you're looking for a case that doesn't have a different platforms logo on the front and fits the Switch Pro controller like a glove, I picked up the Hermitshell Xbox One controller case from Amazon after someone posted it on this sub and can't recommend it enough.
Just FYI, I submitted some questions about the product on the Amazon page and got some interesting answers, might be worth a read as far as PC connectivity goes.
Bought this one recently and it's pretty good and not too steep a price for the convienience.
I'm also on PS4 I use the xbox elite controller with brook x one converter. https://www.amazon.com/CtrlDepot-Converter-Controller-Wireless-Rechargeable/dp/B078W3JRLL It works awesome with zero lag wired and wireless. I've been really impressed with it.
I recommend this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NQT48NM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_tmIXBbG1M1NJ7
I've had it for 6 months. Works like a dream.

I had the HyperX Cloud II's for about a year. They're quality for the price, but lack any bass or low end. However, their surround sound isn't as good as other options. I found that I wasn't hearing a lot of footsteps and sounds that my brother was during gaming sessions. I upgraded to the Turtle Beach Stealth 700's and it is night and day difference between the two. The TB's are a little more rigid, but I still find them comfortable to wear for a several hour gaming session. The bass is much better, and the surround sound is tons better, even when watching a movie.
If you have a Xbox one buy these rechargeable battery packs for you controller
You will save money on batteries and the battery life of a fully charged pack last about about 2 weeks with daily use. Plus you can charge while playing so no more annoying waits and quick dashes out to the shop to get more batteries. I’ve probably saved way more than £50 on batteries with rechargeable battery packs.
As for the headset the Astro A10 is a great headset.
It’s way worth it’s money as the sound quality and microphone is great not like the over sensitive microphone and shitty audio on cheap £20 headsets. It’s durable as fuck as well, mine has survived horrible abuse and it’s still in perfect condition and I’ve gone through about 5 cheap headsets including Xbox official ones. It’s comfy to wear too.
I have these and I pretty much love the crap out of them:

When you unplug your controllers, do you do it by grabbing the base and pulling it out or do you just tug on the wire so it pops off easily? I used to do this and eventually that messed up the wiring and I could only hear out of it but couldn’t talk.
As far as recommendations go, I think it would be worth it to drop the money on something decent. I personally use the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and I love it. Have never had any issues with it.

I got this one and it works great for all of the games, it even rumbles! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D12RPHX/
Hey I know it's been 2 weeks since you posted this, but I just wanted to say I've been using this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BF2H3CP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_Q3tXCb9BWQK9C and I like it alot
I bought this cheap one from Jovitec.
https://www.amazon.com/Jovitec-Foldable-Controller-Plastic-Smartphone/dp/B07DQBPH15/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?keywords=xbox+controller+mount&qid=1564740614&s=gateway&sr=8-12
It seems to fit and hold my phone fine, but admittedly I haven't used it much as I can't name a single smartphone game that I actually want to play. The mobile Halo knockoff game (NOVA something, I think) does not support Bluetooth controllers, only touchscreen controls!
XCloud can't come fast enough.
There's a turtle beach one that's specifically made for the xbox one that's coming out in October. I believe that's the best there is as far as headsets specifically made for the xbox one

Got one almost the same, probably the same just different brands all using the same design/mold. Works great though, that’s all that matters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BF2H3CP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_trQ2DbE84DKZ9
https://smile.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Xbox-One-Wired-Controller-White/dp/B07D12RPHX/

That’s the one I’ve been using. You can probably pick it up at a local Walmart or Best Buy if you don’t wanna order online.
I use this controller addon to add two paddles to the back of my Xbox controller for Rocket League. The problem is, after a month or so, the paddle I use for boost always ends up breaking. I've just spent a few days iterating and have come up with a replacement that feels even better than the original.
I'm using this and fits wonderfully! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D159YQQ/
Here is a US store link, in case you're outside the UK.
I bought this one too and have really liked it so far. After I bought it, I also saw that it was being bundled with official Halo 5 controllers too, so it seems that MS thinks this is a good charger as well.
Real easy fix. Just gotta order replacements, as annoying as that is.

These are what I ordered, and they worked great. Unfortunately they run out of stock easily, so timing is key. However, it's a really easy fix. Just pop those suckers off and replace.
I bought the Astro a40 and mix amp a couple months ago. Very good!
Also if you buy amazon. Click on the used section. I got mine used for $114.

I just change the A button the the RB button, then tape the buttons down. Let it go overnight while I sleep.
[Which is nice if you have that much disposable income] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00KSQACMM/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all). The headset I linked to above was $30, mono ear (because I'm a dad I gotta have an ear for the kid) these were a god send. Not so much this generation
I have the turtle beach 500X stealth. I love them.

Edit: Link fixed
The question of where to buy still applies I guess. Looks like you can buy the necessary bits on Amazon, and they're...surprisingly cheap...

I've been eyeing one of these Brooks adapters to use with my XB1 Elite controller.
I really prefer using the xb1e over my Vantage, but it would be nice if I didn't have to use a wired adapter with an extra DS4 controller attached.
Unfortunately, I have these headphones here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D96BJSO
The problem is that there is technically a wire that must connect to the controller itself. That's honestly most of the problem. haha. I might just have to fortify and buy a new pair.
EDIT: Thanks for your thoughtful response!

I use the 700 version which is very limited in its difference. These are very nice because they actually pair to your Xbox in the same way that your controller does. They use Windows Sonic which was referenced above and it does a nice job with footsteps. I think with your price point you can't go wrong with these. I will advise that I have a pretty large head and it took some wearing before I adjusted to the feel of these but I don't think someone with a smaller to normal sized head would have the same experience. No matter what you do its important that when you get your gaming headset you go to your settings and change the audio type to the appropriate setting(Sonic, Atmos etc).
I think this is what he's talking about. This is UK but shouldn't be hard to find on Amazon in the US.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01M03EY72/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1481602765&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=xbox+one+elite+controller+grips&dpPl=1&dpID=51EFI6tzhwL&ref=plSrch
Edit; scratch that. Found it on Amazon in the US. It does say it's currently unavailable, but if you scroll down just a little bit under where it says currently unavailable it does have 1 that's new at just under $10 from the same supplier. Here's the link for that.

Would like to know as well, can't seem to find one with only one port.
Edit: Found it.
Answering your question: PowerA makes a decent wired Xbox One controller. Amazon.co.uk link
Fixing the issue: Have you tried a different USB cable or port? There's a chance that the port you are plugging into cannot supply enough voltage to power the controller and operate the vibration motors simultaneously.
Additionally, you could just turn off the vibration and see if that helps.
I bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/eXtremeRate-Rubberized-Replacement-Faceplates-Xbox-One/dp/B01M0Q0QI8/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=xbox+elite+controller+replacement+parts&qid=1571141024&sr=8-4
They're really good
I’ve been using this thing since I have a terrible time with symmetrical sticks. Works wirelessly and since you’re just using one of your Xbox controllers there’s nothing new to get used to. Only downsides are the price (almost as much as a new controller :/ ) and the battery life, but you can charge it while you’re using it and I usually just plug it into a portable power bank. Also installing the damn thing took some tinkering so I’d recommend using a spare xbox controller so you don’t need to unplug and plug in the adapter multiple times. Not sure if the micro usb on the adapter would hold up.
If you’re worried about not having a touch pad there’s a hacky way to mimic it (hold down the View button while using the stick) but honestly it’s never been an issue for me in any of the ps4 games I’ve played. The View button acts like a click of the touchpad and there’s a button on the adapter thing for the Share button.
You need an Android device, Xbox One S controller (connected to device via bluetooth), and the moonlight or steam link App. Oh, and an Nvidia GPU is ideal, particularly for moonlight.
Also, this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DQBPH15/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_yr0vCb6J8DNGW
Luckily, Amazon appears to have it.
Phone clip
I bought this one last year and it works great. I bought it to use with my Steelseries controller but it fits the Xbox One controller just as well. No issues with it getting in the way of buttons and the clamp hold last the phone real solid.
Thanks for posting this though, get your deals Americans! :)
Dainslef (New Version)Xbox One Controller Foldable Mobile Phone Holder + Xbox One Controller. No need to compromise!
Edit: Just as a heads up, you'll need to have an xbox PC dongle or an xbox one to update the firmware on the controller yo the latest version in order for the controller to play nice with android via bluetooth.
Yeah that is the Amazon basics wired controller.

I bought a case off of amazon for like 20 bucks that I use when I travel. Cta digital carrying case. I'll look it up when I get to a computer

Hahah yes, this is her evil, older sister. 😂
Here's the link to the controller stand. :)
I've just had a quick look on Amazon and it looks like it might be the Controller Gear Controller Stand v1.0.
Don’t know why they don’t come with the powerpack. Just bought it from amazon and like it compared to changing out batteries every week. Also have usb/electrical outlets in house, so no need to plug into console for use.

Just a friendly reminder that you'll need an additional adapter in order to use this with the Xbox One S.
Looks like the cheap clip I bought from Amazon (Germany)

There is nothing completely wireless atm. But in October there will be 2 from Turtle beach: the Stealth 500x and XO one. I believe the Stealth is completely wireless. Not sure about the XO one. If you're looking for a headset right now, Astro a50 and titanfall atlas would be your best choices. But those are not "completely" wireless.

Gamestop was giving them out when the One x was released. Looks like you can get them on amazon for a ridiculous 12.99
I took the top of this: Owoda 2 in 1 Cellphone / Tablet Extended Holder Adjustable Stand for DJI Phantom 3 Standard Remote Controller https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y42HZ6M
And screwed it into this:

I also inverted the top of Jovitec and glued the hinge in place
After using it for a bit, I do think there is some merit to the post about RSI concerns but I'm trying to be mindful of keeping the rig upright to keep the weight on my palms and taking breaks. I also found that it was more obvious on something like Forza where the RT/LT use is heavier than say Tomb Raider or ACO
Also, not that you asked but here's the case I used to carry mine in. Worked out really well.

http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Stealth-Premium-Wireless-Headphone/dp/B00KSQACMM Heard good things about them. These are only ones I seen at or below $200 that weren't refurbished.
You could pay for it and then sell the free one when you get it if you're really wanting it on release day:

Actually, the Stealth 600 from Turtle Beach is only $87 right now. The reviews are much better after the updates too.
It’s level of quality compared to the $179 LS35X may not match up, though.
Absolutely ZERO wires?
Turtle Beach 500x Stealth but its $200.
Plugs straight into the Xbox one controller?
Astro A40 + M80 Mixamp/Adapter but again that's $200
this is a good idea but wireless headphones are oof a little too expensive (we are talking $150 US and above) for me I have an omen 800 headset and it's amazing but wired, can't use it for VR anymore, if I can't fix the headset Ill sell my headphones and get a wireless one.
I was thinking about buying this one as a last resource https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Stealth-Wireless-Surround-Gaming-Headset/dp/B071ZRTMXF/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Stealth%2B600&qid=1555905584&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1

over here this wireless headset cost almost $147 US u.u
I think it is just a rebrand of the Power A Xbox One controller. They look exactly the same. See here for the Power A: https://www.amazon.com/Wired-Controller-Xbox-One-Black/dp/B01J36HGC6/
From what I have read, for $25-30 it is a pretty good controller. Obviously won't be as good or solidly built as the official controller, but still decent enough.
I don't like PSNow, the latency is really noticeable.
You can use an XBox One controller (or an Elite one, preferably) on PS4 using a convertor, incidentally. It's really good.
Here's the same thing for half price. I bought them and can't see a difference between these and the original Elite ones.
https://www.amazon.com/eXtremeRate-Rubberized-Replacement-Faceplates-Xbox-One/dp/B01M0Q0QI8/ref=pd_sbs_147_1/132-4836104-3727462?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01M0Q0QI8&pd_rd_r=057f78fc-6045-4d45-8bbc-0cb5d3de9765&pd_rd_w=NAE6J&pd_rd_wg=ttaiU&pf_rd_p=d66372fe-68a6-48a3-90ec-41d7f64212be&pf_rd_r=3F6W3Q3A9XJYW9V417ZM&psc=1&refRID=3F6W3Q3A9XJYW9V417ZM
Not the same one, but I have one I got off Amazon. They make them in white too, as well as Dualshock 4 and Xbox 360 versions
This might do you a little better.
I know people who have this for PS4 and love it, but can't speak for the XB1 version so be sure to read reviews.
https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Xbox-One-Mod-Pack/dp/B07H4MPJ5X
I have both these clips. They work amazingly well. The PS4 one is a little hard to get on but once it is installed, it is rock solid.

xbone controller works fine with a pc. need to either:
or
I’d suggest two options, you could buy the PS4 Onyx Controller or it’s 2018 now so almost anything is now possible like this.. An Xbox to PS4 Controller Adapter .. It’s an Xbox battery pack that allows you to use your Xbox Controller wirelessly on PS4/Switch/PC..
You can get a wired Xbox controller for $25
The Logitech one is like $15.
You can then use it forever
I bought these and like them. Use them with my Note 9 now. Only thing I had to do is drill a hole for access to the connect button.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07DQBPH15
You can get a combo of the controller with the play and charge kit, this the original model controller however.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00CMQTUY2
Also, they sell one for PC specifically now, instead of having to buy the play'n'charge kit in addition. Its slightly cheaper.
Microsoft-Xbox-Controller-Cable-Windows is $52.00 on Amazon.
[Controller with Play and Charge] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMQTUY2/) is $69.99 on Amazon. Both are slightly under retail but not much.
Yes. Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500x
you should use the strike pack from collective minds i use it and i feel its buttons are way better than the scuf ones, only down side is that the controller must be plugged in when you use it (PS4 XB1 )
Im going with the XO seven.
the amazon pages do a better job at explaining:
XO seven
xo four
one important difference is that one has surround sound and the other does not.EDIT: I was wrong, more details HERE
Turtle Beach Stealth 500. They're awesome. Totally wireless and rechargeable. Oh, and they're virtual 5.1.
Edit: I added a link below. Some reviewers point to build quality and noise levels to be an issue. Personally, I haven't had any of those problems.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KSQACMM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VBk1xb8HT752B
Xbox One Kinect Adapter. Looks like Amazon is sold out. They had them yesterday.
EDIT: The MS Online Store is out of stock but you might be able to find one in store.
Yup! That’s the one. Works flawlessly.
edit: link - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D12RPHX
I wouldn't suggest a holder that has a built-in controller. You are talking about a MFi controller then and none of them have the number of buttons, joysticks as buttons, etc. as an Xbox or PS4 controller would have. Not all games will take advantage of the extra features of those controllers over MFi, but as soon as one game you play does you'll be kicking yourself.
So then your search is for a clamp of some sort to hold your phone onto the Xbox or PS4 controller. No experience with that but a quick search reveals they are out there, such as https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Phone-Holder-iPhone-Samsung-Huawei/dp/B07BF2H3CP
No get this https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Xbox-One-Mod-Pack/dp/B07H4MPJ5X/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1549044347&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=strike+pack+fps+dominator&dpPl=1&dpID=410VXmtN1fL&ref=plSrch
$30 and I enjoy these paddles more than my Xbox Elite
Thanks!
this is the controller stand
http://www.amazon.com/Controller-Gear-Xbox-One-Stand/dp/B00PRDEZN8
its nothing special but it is really cheap ($5). It also has a compartment to store a couple batteries
The headphone stand is this I think

Not sure but I think it requires a wired USB controller. I got this one from amazon basics
So $4 less than what a new one costs from Amazon? Would need to be in the mid $20 range for me.
