Thanks for the 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 my BFF is in an MLM and it's 🚗 me 🥜!!
What a gorgeous little one! I get so broody when I see such adorable pictures haha! It’s okay that you’re working, I know the first birthday seems a big deal but there will be so many more to come and so many that she’ll actually remember! I’m sure you treat her like the little princess she is anyway so she knows with every fibre of her being that you love her to pieces!☺️💕
And I love noodles. But the item I’d love on my wishlist is this yoga mat or these yoga socks as I quit the gym a few months ago because I had no time for it but I’d love to get back into yoga in my free time - it’s so calming!💕
Hi there! First off, hats off to you for being so thoughtful. When I got my endo surgery there were a couple things that helped me feel better you could consider adding to your care package. Here's some ideas:
--First off I loved this eye pillow from amazon. (https://www.amazon.com/DreamTime-Lavender-Soothing-Aromatherapy-Relaxation/dp/B00005TZU8/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=weighted+eye+mask+lavender&qid=1574260628&sr=8-9 ) It smelled so good and helped me get precious moments of sleep.
--I enjoyed hot cups of tea to help me relax. Here's one I loved. ( https://www.amazon.com/Revolution-Tea-Tropical-Green-Teabags/dp/B004UHUUUO/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=revolution+tea&qid=1574260725&sr=8-4 )
--Whatever comfort food she enjoys (chocolate is always a good choice).
--Make sure she has a comfortable pillow. Also when she gets up to move after surgery, it helps to hold the pillow in front of the stomach and brace yourself with it.
I hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you need any more ideas. Best wishes!

Definitely try the unlimited for a month! You might get hooked and it'll be really good for you anyway. Check around, too- is there a YMCA type place near you? Sometimes they'll have better deals, or check for punch-cards or packs of passes that'll give you a discount. Sometimes it helps to just, you know, ask for a discount if it's too expensive.
You can easily buy this stuff at a Wal-Mart or K-Mart or wherever; yeah, it's likely to be overpriced at the studio even though it's all the same. The one thing I'd recommend is considering a longer mat, which is more expensive. I'm only 5'2" and I get by on a smaller mat, but one of my ex-boyfriends was 6'6" so I ordered him an extra long yoga mat and immediately wanted it for myself, just for the extra space! But you can bop down to the Wal-Mart and pick up a mat for, I dunno, $10?
Never worry about shaving your legs- I only do it sporadically (I don't even shave my armpits for half the year, it seems like), but I've never been in a yoga studio where people cared. Basic hygiene is nice but I've been in some stinky studios as well, with some damn hippies ;)
To start, I'd simply suggest a mat, comfy clothes that don't ride up or down, and a sports bra if you've got one. Just keep in mind that you're going to be doing a lot of moving into random positions, so if you're tugging your shirt down and your pants up half the time, you're going to feel distracted and self-conscious. Also bring a water bottle.
I really love yoga; I don't do it nearly enough, or nearly as much as I want to anyway, but can tell a definite difference when I do go through spurts of doing it. I've also been complimented by a variety of chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists, because I apparently have great range of motion- which taken with the fact I've got sciatica and a terrible back, they all attribute to the yoga because otherwise I'd be in a pretzel-shape all the time. I hope you try it out and like it!!
A good way to start out would be with 200-300 point matches. Still manageable to play on a 3x3, and can be a quick way to learn the ropes and see some combos working out. Time could definitely be an issue, as a full game with teaching would be well over 2 hours long. Along those lines, this is a super cheap way to get a full sized play area for much cheaper than the FFG mats. Plus, if you're playing at 200-300 points, you can have two games going, each on a 3x3. You can definitely mark up one side to have a middle line, deployment zone, etc...
There's the other ones that people recommend for people starting out:
Limit upgrades on ships
Limit # of squadrons/no squads to start (It can be nice not worrying about a whole command)
No objectives(passing initiative may help or custom starter objectives. Contested outpost is always an easy one)
Etc, etc...
There's a lot to this game. Keeping it simple to start is recommended. Love the idea!
> Am I doing something wrong?
Might as well double check for the obvious even though you're probably not doing this. Are you using the towel to wipe your hands, and then putting your hands back on the mat? It's probably a better to put the towel on the mat, and then your hands on top of the towel.
> I have tried different towels for traction and have had no luck.
I also have sweaty hands, but literally any towel works for me. I typically use two facecloth sized towels, one for each hand, because this is what my gym has available everywhere. What do you mean that you had no luck? Are you slipping on the towel? Is the towel slipping off the mat? Is the towel wrinkling up?
I'm also interested in the answers here. I didn't know yoga gloves were a thing! There are also different things you can rub on your hands, like rosin:
www.amazon.com/Aurorae-Yoga-Rosin-Slipping-Sticky/dp/B003329SIM
I don't know if this product or brand is any good, I've just heard people talking about rosin and thought I'd mention it and attach the first link I found.
I'm curious if this is the same rosin as people put on violin bows, or if it's just a common word.
I think it's just a weird request, which is why it was difficult to get an answer. Most people don't put subwoofers on their desk, so size never really matters. Since size never really matters, subwoofers aren't exactly small. The LS50 doesn't have a ton of bass because if it tried, it will distort everything else. The homepod, on the other hand, boosts the bass and just skimps out on the midrange. The LS50 tries to sound more natural.
Anyways, you're going to run into some other problems with the sub on your desk. It will most likely vibrate everything on there. You want to make sure that this doesn't happen. First, get some rubber feet for the bottom of the subwoofer. Under that, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes or whatever, and get a slab of marble. A thicc one, that doesn't make any sound when you hit it with your knuckles. Put that under the subwoofer. Under that, you'll want some foam so the marble doesn't rattle against the table. Get some foam like this. You can cut it in half if it'll be too tall. Put that under the marble, and you'll be good. This all sounds like a lot, but trust me. Having a subwoofer on a desk is going to cause a lot of vibrations.
I also forgot about the Sunfire HRS-8. It is a 10" cube, which hopefully could fit on your desk. The REL is 8.5w x 9.5h x 10.5d inches, which would probably fit on your desk easier, but I'll throw in the Sunfire just in case.
Yes, last year I bought a well-reviewed yoga mat off of Amazon. I liked the length because I'm a tall guy, and the reviews said the slipperyness would wear off after the first few sessions.
Well, it never really wore off, and after 10-20min I can't do a downward dog without my hands slowly sliding. I feel like a dog in a tile kitchen.
Loved the color, loved the length, loved the thickness; none of it matters if I don't feel safe on it.
Most studios have mats you can borrow, but you will still want something of your own. At your level, any 1/4" thick mat will do. If you've got Prime, you can have one of these on Tuesday. Personally, I like to use a hand towel to reduce slipping and occasionally mop off my face. Sure, you can use whatever workout towel you use under your hands or even get a cotton hand towel at a discount store, but I went ahead and spent $10 on a genuine Yogarat hand towel (I'm also a cheapskate and use it to tie up my mat for travel rather than a bag or strap). If you aren't doing hot yoga (such as Bikram), there's no point in a mat-sized towel because it won't stick right without being just slightly damp.
Namaste!
What I did best investment ever. Spent total $20 bucks for an XL yoga mat on Amazon. Best part is unlike other high end printed mats, the ships tend to stay in the same spot on yoga mat. Doesn't move slightly unless you pick it up or really bump it. Keeps everyone honest. Plus you saved money so now more funds for ships.
Here is what I bought granted in 2016 it was $20. Still use it and it has held up well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007MTWI48/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I would be happy too. I used a tutorial video from YouTube as a starting point. https://youtu.be/spdescYFqIE His video states that it can be done for $150 but that is assuming you already have a bunch of stuff on hand. Overall mine cost about $125 and that involves me using an old table as a starting point.
Instead of bulding the legs from scratch I used the base of an old table, part of this was to save cost, part was to eliminate what I considered a lot of bulkiness. The playable surface measures 48in x 48in.
I decided against installing the cup holders and dice trays as I felt that they took up too much space. Instead I plan on installing removable cup holders in the future so that when they are not being used they can be removed.
Overall I was able to complete the initial building in one day, this will take more time if you are new to woodworking or if you have to build the legs from scratch. It than took another week to properly finish the wood. I have 1 coat of stain and 6 coats of polyurethane on all wood surfaces, I sanded with 320grit sandpaper between each coat of polyurethane. After the final coat of polyurethane, I let it dry for 48 hours and did a final wetsanding with 1500 grit sandpaper to provide a silkly smooth finish.
For the padded surface I used a 6x6 yoga mat bought off of Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003JM73RY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T2_1pymzb2HN45ZZ I than cut it down to size and secured to surface with removable double sided tape.
For my project I used the following materials, some of which I had on hand but a lot I bought.

If anyone has any questions I will try to respond in the most timely manner.
Pinched nerves, migraines, blah blah. You mess with a spine, there are going to be issues. Don't be like me and wait 12 years to get serious about doing something about it, is my best advice! And do NOT stop doing what works for you just because you get better (she says to herself...)!
Ok, try not to laugh TOO hard at my incredibly artful drawings! Here is the yoga/stretching program that I do daily. This is the very basic start of it. As these became easier I upped the time held, how far I reached, added new positions, etc. I also included the little hand strengthening set I just got from Amazon. Nerve damage can be a sneaky little bastard, and hand weakness can sneak up on you. Dropping reins sucks. If it's an issue, might be something to consider. I'm also using it to get better at my piano playing. Also sharing the Amazon links to my favorite (and cheap) yoga mat and assistance/stretch strap. :)
Mat here.
Strap here.
For a cheap mat, go to places that sell an assortment of inexpensive/discount things (here in the US it's places like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Cost U Less, Aldi, Costco, etc.). I got my boyfriend a mat from Marshall's for $7 that I use at home. If you're not picky on color, you can get one on Amazon for <$20. The one I use at the yoga studio I regularly attend is the Manduka PROlite. It's very squishy and comfortable.
I typically don't sweat much, especially in an air conditioned gym but at the yoga studio I sweat... A LOT. If I don't bring a towel, I'm dripping all over the place. It feels good though.
Good luck!
I use something similar to these (the ones I have are branded arctic chill ones, but I got them years ago when they were only $5 a pop, they seem to have gone up in price now) when it's super warm outside (in addition to a boonie hat):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K97XFO6/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_GU90CbD9RPCQN

This is a fast drying towel you wrap around your neck-- keep a bunch in a cooler soaked in cold water, then take them out one at a time and then wrap them around your neck. The fast evaporation of the water will cool you down a bit
As far as hats go, this one's a little pricey but so far it's been my favorite: https://tripleaughtdesign.com/shop/scout-rs-boonie-hat/
The bespin one from FFG is the best but its always out of stock.
If you get ffg mats be careful to not store them up and down but side to side or else you get this weird egg crate texture.
If you're not going the two 3x3 mats from ffg style, which should cost you ~$40 each, I suggest the yoga mat style. Remember you'll actually need it to be slightly larger than 6'x3'... ideally you get one that's more like 6'x4' so you can fit cards and such on the edges, but those can get costly and it's not totally needed. The deal to beat is this 6'x3' yoga mat for ~$25 shipping included. You can get slightly cheaper on amazon for the same looking thing but not black.
I generally get the "reflex by 90 degrees" tights off Amazon. They are like $10/pair and great There are two different kinds, one comes in patterns the other is solid colors, slight more expensive but breathes a little better. I get my leotards from discountdance and Gkelite. The discount dance ones are cheaper but slightly thicker material. The gkelite ones fit me a little better, breathe better and don't cause leotard butt but are more expensive and slightly thinner material.
The Yoga Mat on Amazon is a great cheap alternative for $30. It's EXACTLY 3x6 and what's great is the material is super non-slip. So nudging is limited.
Hope this helps!!
When I started the gaming club, I invested in some extra-wide black yoga mats, which I cut down to create several 36"x36" play mats. I used an old toothbrush and a bit of white acrylic paint to lightly splatter some "stars" onto them. Each mat ends up costing about $13, and has lasted for years now with no signs of wear. My favorite thing about them is that the yoga mat surface is really grippy, which helps prevent accidental bumping of ships and asteroids. I like pretty much everything about them, really.
If you're interested, search for "Yoga Accessories Extra Wide and Extra Long 1/4'' Deluxe Yoga Mat" on Amazon, or maybe this link will work:

Let's see. For neuroscience you could start with one of these guys:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W6OS96/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687642&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000NOC52Y&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1F8SBTCB11Y6Y5YWT2QD
You could go with the neuron, or possibly any of the microbes if she's worked with them in her research.
For yoga: she probably already has a nice mat. But if she's into hot yoga or power yoga that can get really sweaty. They make nice microfiber towels for mopping up the sweat, and little bags of rosin to help with the slipping that can happen from that.

I think I'm out of ideas now. Hope this helps!
For a beginner I would recommend a 1/4" thick mat that's pretty thick and comfortable. it won't kill your hands and legs while learning the basic poses.
http://www.amazon.com/YogaAccessories-TM-Extra-Density-Phthalate/dp/B000PUHFQW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376686065&sr=8-2&keywords=yoga+mat
my favorite yoga mat (though more expensive) is the Jade yoga mat. It's slightly thinner but has better grip technology and texture for harder poses...less opportunities to slip.

Upvote for Meddle! YNWA!!
After you get those speakers up off the desk, like u/sharkamino says, get a better cartridge for turntable. I'd recommend the Nagaoka MP-110. It's a great cart for the money. Very detailed and a little bit warm. It's available on Amazon for about $120. You'll be stoked listening to Pink Floyd with it.

This is an awesome contest, for many reasons.
This is the item that would help me the most. Not only to get into shape and healthy (which I desperately need), but it would also help with stress with the meditation aspect. Plus, from what I've heard, yoga can be pretty intense. Thankfully, it's a beginner kit, so I'll be able to stick with it.
Impressions?
Cheap (0,30 bucks), but effective.
This is my second stand for my m40x after the boom of threads showing the luxurious or pretty damn cheap headphone stand as part of a meme in this community.
I want to imply that it not nessesary to have one of these but you can also look for other options like zeos with his yoga blocks and stay cool without deform the headphone's shape.
I got THESE. they're a bit more expensive than alternatives, but they make up for it because:
Edit: closeup of beveled edge: http://i.imgur.com/TgQTOtt.jpg
Nice work!
Just throwing in another option for anyone reading this thread: An extra wide yoga mat can work too.
Pros: Can get an epic size mat w/o a seam (or 2 3x3 mats out of it). It has a better grip than the offical mats. Pretty cheap if you find a buddy to split one with you.
Cons: Kind of bulky to haul around with you. It's a bit soft, spongy, and bumpy. Not sure how well stars painted on it will stick.
I have an extra long mat that I got from amazon.com, I can't recall the brand right now but it was mid-range (not Lulu, not the cheapest out there). I like it, I believe it's 72" long, but I could actually stand to have a longer mat for certain poses.
Good looking 72" long mat: http://www.amazon.com/Aurorae-Northern-Lights-Golden-Focal/dp/B0050D1R36/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1377676197&sr=8-11
Even longer but quality looks sketchy: http://www.amazon.com/Extra-Wide-Long-Deluxe-Yoga/dp/B002PA1KWK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377676197&sr=8-2
So at least you know they're out there!
This one is really cheap and really durable- best is both worlds!! PS hello there!!
Sivan Health and Fitness 1/2-InchExtra Thick 71-Inch Long NBR Comfort Foam Yoga Mat for Exercise, Yoga, and Pilates (Teal) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UXXF734/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pXMRCb4HH1ERQ
Does anyone have a favorite yoga/exercise mat? Wirecutter recommends this jade Harmony mat and this Lululemon one but I'm a little concerned about the weight bc I walk to and from my yoga classes so I'm just curious if there are any other ones people like or if they have experience with either of those two.
Oversized Yoga Mat would likely be a good choice.
Could buy something like (: https://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Direct-6-Feet-Square-Olive/dp/B003JMI2F6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1466445662&sr=8-2&keywords=Oversized+Yoga+mat )
Then cut to fit your playspace + potentially buy double-sided tape to lock it down if your wanting it to not move at all, or some other lock down alternative. When your done playing, can even roll it up and toss it aside.
Yoga mat. Amazon
It's nice and grippy (much better than the wood table top we were playing on). Also, the mat is big enough that you can make 2 play surfaces out of it.
I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but Junk mat is awesome. I play almost all my games on it, and on tournaments everyone who brings a set seems to have it.
These magical unicorn leggings. ;)
https://www.amazon.com/90-Degree-Reflex-Yoga-Capris/dp/B00ID0S99I
I own two and they are not see through (they pass the squat test!) they are super cute and hold every part of me together!
I use these YogaRat Hand Towels
I handwash them after each class since they dry quickly enough. Honestly though, if you just use a regular hand towel, it'll work about the same. If I forget to wash my YogaRat, I use grab a regular handtowel and never had a problem. A regular handtowel might actually be more cushion for your hands if you need/like that.
I've considered buying a yoga mat from a thrift store, sanitizing it, then cutting it to size. It might take two strips to cover the table, but one seam isn't bad, and the whole thing would only cost like $5-$10.
Here's something along the lines of what I'm talking about, but this one is 36" wide, which is nice. https://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Direct-Extra-Wide-Black/dp/B007MTWI48
Maybe there's something similar available in your country.
I recently started focusing a bit more on fitness due to some life changes so a lot of my items are specific to running and yoga.
If I were Oprah, it would be a toss up between FlipBelt (just got one and it's amazing) or Gear Beast Sports Armband and a year's subscription to Endomondo. (I also just recently got Endomondo and I love the data).
Summoning /u/caturdaynauplz who is due 5th may :D
On her behalf I love these eye pillows they smell relaxing and if baby falls asleep while feeding you can lay it across your eyes to have a small rest in the daylight :D
I use this one. It's held up very well for me, but I don't do regular practice on it. I use it for the purpose mentioned above and for doing static things like frog pose for 20/30 minutes at a time, practicing splits outside of classes, etc. It's the same consistency as cheap-ish beginner mats that wouldn't (for me) hold up well to more than ~10 sweaty/hard flow classes.
I have this and it's awesome to play on.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002PA1KWK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_YfKs8vGLsfShL
An extra wide yoga mat works great as a play surface. I don't know if you can find anything with more grip. Link.
Cooling towels!!! http://amzn.com/B014AMQ0XO
These are a must, especially for the campground. It's a special mesh towel that stays cold for a long time after you wet it, but doesn't drip. Toss it on your friend's back when they look exhausted and dehydrated, and they will instantly be re-energized back to life and love you forever.
Another alternative is check out yoga mats. I bought this one from Amazon : http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B007MTWI48?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
It's really durable and a nice material to play off of.
That's what a junk mat is. A plastic ridge fitted onto a mat so that you can make a table lip with a nice padded surface for playing on. When you buy one it comes with both.
Also, they sell specific tables with the lip built in. You can find both on Amazon.
Edit: Here's the link to Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0017KHW3A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_a32FDbPMCHBG0
http://www.amazon.com/Mahjong-mat-junk-japan/dp/B0017KHW3A/ Sukiyaki Japan (via Amazon) is offering free shipping to the US. Not sure if they're doing the same for New Zealanders but if they are this is a pretty good price.
These ear plugs, these bandannas and definitely a Camelbak (the lighter the better or all his friends will ask him to carry their shit in it and that gets old, and heavy, fast). Or, if you want to do something a little different, schedule an in-hotel massage on Sunday late morning/early afternoon before he goes into the fest for the day. Seems over the top, but leaves you feeling fresh as fuck when everyone else is hurting on Day 3. I've done it with Palm Springs Massage the past few years and they do a great job.
Changing your floor space won't affect tracking, as long as you are in view of the sensors you're good.
For the static, put down some mats, like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BPQDNM4/
As per the xxfitness FB page, I present the magical blue leggings. True to fit, stay put, pass the squat test, on the cheap.
Sorry for the late answers, was away and didn't check reddit.
Okay, mats: they are called "junk" mats.
Two kinds: mat between two borders that you roll out and then put the other two edges on, and 4-puzzle-piece mat.
roll pro: nice and flat
roll con: will eventually 'stretch out'.
puzzle pro: cheap and cheap to ship
puzzle con: eventually gets fray-y on the piece edges.
Roll: http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E5%A4%A7%E6%B4%8B%E5%8C%96%E5%AD%A6-%E9%BA%BB%E9%9B%80%E3%83%9E%E3%83%83%E3%83%88-%E3%82%B8%E3%83%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF%E3%83%9E%E3%83%83%E3%83%88/dp/B0017KHW3A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462492513&sr=8-1&keywords=junk+mat
Puzzle: http://www.amazon.co.jp/Jean-easy-mat-japan-import/dp/B000QUHCEQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1462492539&sr=8-4&keywords=%E9%BA%BB%E9%9B%80%E3%83%9E%E3%83%83%E3%83%88
I definitely suggest the roll. just don't lift it with tiles on it.
While my manduka is starting to break in, I've been using this since I got it, and it works like a charm for keeping me steady in my practice.
If it's just to do your workout on, you're probably better off getting a rubber mat from Walmart or a sporting goods store. Look for the kind that you put underneath a treadmill because they're at least 5x8. That'll catch a lot of your sweat and you won't be falling off it like if you were using a yoga mat. Plus they're really thin and can be rolled up and out of the way between workouts.
The main thing is not to get the foam mats or anti-fatigue mats at Home Depot. With all the explosive movements in Insanity, those options are an easy way to roll an ankle.
Small one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/21672521
Large: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003JMI2F6
If you think you may want to use weights (barbell/dumbbells), you may want to opt for a stall mat, available almost anywhere livestock feed is sold. Don't want to damage the floors.
This is the mat I use. Works great:
http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B007MTWI48
These work great and are cheap and you get two. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FN7X7KE/ref=s9_acsd_cartx_hd_bw_bEMHv_c_x_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=3PCPG2VCEVW5F40WA87N&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=b4aea1b3-e669-56a4-a25f-0b17678c0d05&pf_rd_i=3422271&th=1
Mmhm, like a cheapo folding table. The kind your parents would bring camping. The lip would be at most an inch. The idea is that with that lip, you could rack tiles, dice won't fly out, etc.
Size of the table itself should be big enough that it should fit a junk mat, since that would be exactly what the table is replacing.
I keep a Rosin Bag in my yoga mat bag. It's tiny and you can dab it on your hands and your mat before or during class. Just like a gymnast or Lebron James, you can use the rosin and it will absorb the sweat from your hands and keep them from sliding during Down Dog.
This is the one I like: http://smile.amazon.com/Aurorae-Yoga-Rosin-Slipping-Sticky/dp/B003329SIM
Depending on what you're looking for (I know that Lu La Roe has a lot of crazy patterns, right?), I'd recommend 90 degrees by reflex from Amazon. I have the yoga pants which are basically long leggings, nice thickness. I am 5'8", size 10 and I have a M that goes all the way past my ankles. I have other leggings by them that are shorter that I use mostly for working out.
Get this ships and space rocks don't really move around from bumping at all and it's super cheap and exactly the right size. This is on my game table at home and I have x-wing mats since most official tournaments require those.

these DIY Look Good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iPxsgyvtwA
These are my favorite leggings, apparently they're technically yoga pants, which I guess is what I like about them. They're structured and opaque which is what I want since I'm a legging-as-pants sort of girl. Also I've had them a year and a half and they're still doing great.
My favorite tunic is from Eileen Fisher, I don't see it on their site right now but it's similar to this but longer and with a slightly higher neckline, and it's got a thick inner layer with a thin outer one. I got it for $10 from VV and it's my favorite thing I own right now. Trying to scope out some others to add to my rotation because it makes me sad to wash it because then I have to stop wearing it.
https://www.amazon.com/90-Degree-Reflex-Yoga-Capris/dp/B00ID0S99I
These leggings are amazing. The are thick enough to provide tummy control and go from the boardroom to the dance club to yoga class.
I have 15 pairs in different colors and they are a staple of my wardrobe.
Cooling towel. It's been a lifesaver for the past two years and I'll never go without it again.
I bought a 48"x72" black yoga mat. The bases grip the surface beautifully. I used a white paint marker I bought from Michaels to make stars on it. Here's a link to what I have. I'm using mobile so not sure if it will work.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PA1KWK/ref=ya_st_dp_summary
You might also want to get her some yoga rosin while she breaks in the new mat. It's very helpful!
I ordered a yoga mat and cut it in half, to make two 36"x36" mats that work pretty well
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007MTWI48/
Best surface, no-slip. Cut it in half for 2 or keep it big for epic.
I bought this one:

It's been good so far...
Cooling towels help just for general shade, wiping sweat, and covering dust
I found this worked well to help with my hands slipping practice.

I tried felt prior to shelling out the cash for an official playmat. I thought it would work out well but in practice the small fibers of the felt kept grabbing the ship's bases when I tried to move them which then jerked the whole mat and shook everything around. Also it didn't like to sit flat without a good deal of effort. Ultimately I had to be very cautious in making any movements which slowed down the game and detracted from the experience.
Maybe a higher quality felt would work better, but I would not recommend it. I've seen this recommended around here before, you can cut out two playmats and get a nice grippy mats with enough space for epic play as well

The ones I got. I like em thick.
I just ordered THIS mat and it will arrive next week.
3' x 6' whose length I will trim to fit my table.
I'll let you know how it works out.
Amazon sells a relatively inexpensive 6x3 black yoga mat. I use it for Star Wars: Armada and epic-scale X-Wing games and it works great.
If I remember correctly they're these ones https://www.amazon.com/90-Degree-Reflex-Yoga-Capris/dp/B00ID0S99I in "Reflex Blue" but I could be wrong! I remembered seeing a thread a few days back and still had the amazon link in my history :)
T-shirts are fine, they're all I wear. You just have to get the holster oriented correctly so that it's not pressing outward against the t-shirt, and is instead softly pressing into you so that the shirt drapes over it inconspicuously. I can't see what's going on under the shirt in those pictures, but it looks like there are two "hot spots" where the gun is printing—one at the base of the grip, and one at the rear of the slide. I have two recommendations:
First, the Vedder Light Tuck is available with and without a "claw" attachment. Again, I can't see under the shirt, but I'm guessing because of the way the base of the grip is poking out that you aren't using the claw. They sell them as an add-on kit for 9 bucks (https://www.vedderholsters.com/claw/), so I think it's worth it to check that box.
The bigger problem, though, is that it looks like the whole gun is allowed to tilt outboard; if you look under that shirt, I bet you'll see that whereas the muzzle end of the gun is touching you, there's a gap between your belly and the top of the gun, or at least there's more pressure against you at the muzzle end than at the top. That's the opposite of what you want for concealment purposes—the more the gun tilts out at the top, the more it presses outward on your shirt and looks obvious.
Since you're a leaner guy, you might find that the wedge kit sold by JM Custom Kydex (https://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/NSWK.html) is the right size for tilting things back in a good direction.
I'm heavier than you and found that I needed a different solution with more material than that, so "the yoga block mod" (https://youtu.be/E4HD4J37u6I) that Scott Jedlinski advocates was necessary. The idea is that you get a big block of foam (any relatively dense foam will do but here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Foam-Yoga-Blocks-Inches/dp/B01FN7X7KE/) and sculpt it down until it fits the shape of your body and orients the gun perfectly for concealment. It's a touch more work, but it obviously tends to yield better results because it's a completely custom solution that you build for your exact body, sort of like tailoring your clothing.
I bought this one. Works well.

Most 24x72 (2ftx6ft) yoga mats are about 15 dollars on amazon.
The 36x72 (2ftx6ft) yoga mats are about 25 dollars.
36x72x.2 Inche yoga mat
I asked a similar question for a garage floor. Stable mats came up as a general purpose flooring option. I have these 6ftx6ft yoga mats: http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Direct-6-Feet-Square-Blue/dp/B003JM73RY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458767791&sr=8-1&keywords=6ft+yoga+mat
Thin and can be folded up to an extent. Won't slide but I'd rather have a different surface to pivot on.
I'm not the OP, but this is the one I have https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007MTWI48/
I am ordering the first:

Probably the cheapest, that you can get for these.

Yoga blocks
I know people who swear by these:http://www.amazon.com/Aurorae-Yoga-Rosin-Slipping-Sticky/dp/B003329SIM
Also, /r/yoga may have recommendations also
I love Lululemon leggings, but I’m trying to cut costs, so these 90 Degree by Reflex ones are getting the job done. I still prefer Lulus, but these work!
I just bought these and I am obsessed. They are so comfortable, and they have ones with mesh too. TJ Maxx has a bunch of these brand right now, actually.
I had the same problem with my mat and flow too, but one of my instructors suggested using a rosin and that has really helped my slippage. This is the brand I use.
Yoga mat would work. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007MTWI48/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1346YB5THR6F4&coliid=I2KBG6KXFX4S6Q
Cut it in half and you have two 3x3 mats. Lot of people use mats.
Like everyone else is saying, it won't help much for soundproofing, but if you still want to try it, just cut up some yoga blocks. I have them under my 2x 18" subs. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Yoga-Blocks-Set-Black/dp/B01FN7X7KE/ref=sr_1_4_acs_sk_pb_2_sl?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1540925124&sr=1-4-acs&keywords=yoga+block
All hard disk boxes are noisy. I put mine over a yoga block to reduce vibrations. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Yoga-Blocks-Set-2/dp/B01FN7X7KE/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=yoga+block&qid=1554896322&s=gateway&sr=8-8
