(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best adult coloring books

I'm trying to find healthy ways to destress. Coloring and lettering are where I'm drifting to now... Both can take up only as much time as I feel like giving, whether 10 minutes or hours. I would love this coloring book for a chance to relax.

Does it also need to be small, lightweight, and durable since it's going in your backpacking gear for a few weeks? How many weeks? Will it be in hot and dry conditions or hot and humid?

The only thing that I can think of is maybe an interesting tin of tea from Red Blossom Tea Company. But you'd want to make sure you secure the tin closed somehow and that no moisture gets into it...

This is a little older and some of the maps are a bit dated but it is still a great resource. It has maps for all of the continents but are not just “find this place” maps. For example, one of the maps is on the different climate zones in the world. My students have learned a lot from coloring these!

Huge in helping remember all of the regions and their geographic relation to one another.

I think if you already know a solid amount (like you know Albarinno from Torrontes) and love nerding out over more than just wines (soil types, weather patterns, geological impacts, geography, etc...) you'll be fine. Just be sure to study more than just the traditional old world regions!

In would recommend checking out Nasco . Request a catalog because sometimes their site is cumbersome to find what you want.

They have some neat slides with household objects, insects, hair, snake skin, money, etc slides as well as the usual ones. Their prices are often cheaper than Carolina. They offer free shipping and give schools 25% off.

If you have agar, consider buying a gel electrophoresis kit. It's expensive but it is new technology that our students will use if they go into science.

If you want dissectables, check out Bio Corp their specimens are better quality than Carolina and often cheaper. They have a big variety. Personally, I like the rat.

I have the Netter's one and it's actually one of the most helpful tools I've found for learning anatomy. It has the Netter's descriptions in there as well, so basically I read that and then color in the body part thinking about where it is, how it works, and why that makes sense together. I'm a very visual learner and it really helps cement everything in my brain to draw it out like that.

I'd consider that part of my hardcore studying though, it's not something I do for relaxation.

Would Mac like an Alice in Wonderland adult coloring book and some other coloring stuff? I was going to do a contest, but it seems like Mac or Bree would like this. This is the coloring book. I also have these pens to go with it. If either of them would like it, let me know.

I like the Creative Haven Midnight series where there is a fair amount of pre-filled black in the pictures. Makes for dramatic coloring pages.

Yep, this is a different designer. :/ I self-publish in the US and had the first two covers designed by someone else. When they acquired them in the UK, they changed the covers to this and this.

I'm not the best with covers, I would honestly hire my own designer and present the UK publishers with my cover options, but no idea where my last one disappear to or where to find a good one. At the very least I could make sure that the US cover is better, since I control the process there.
