http://www.amazon.com/All-Glass-Aquarium-AAG29603-Versa/dp/B0002AS8HU/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t There are no picture or videos of either of them, but the reviews look positive. Any other options or anything better?

I honestly am unsure but from personal experience, I recently got these (2 needed) for my 55 and used the bulbs it came with. My plants are flourishing but it has also caused a free floating algae bloom.

If you can't find one pre-made for your tank size then you can go to a local glass shop and they can make you one. Shouldn't cost too much.

Lid handle here: https://www.amazon.com/Marineland-Perfecto-Glass-Canopy-Handle/dp/B00025YRXO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1549525710&sr=8-1&keywords=aquarium+glass+lid+handle

It's this one - but I'd really rather not ship it. Me packing it, insuring it, and shipping it would really negate any savings on your end.

I could probably afford this, but it's too large.

these are the current lights I have on the tank (freshwater goldfish at the moment)

i dont know where you are located, but you will have to look at local fish stores, there is a glass top and a big black hood with light inside of it.

you will have to decide what fits in your budget.

here are two links for you to see both types.

i did not find any for 29g bow , so maybe you are mistaken about the tank capacity?

They're definitely hard to find. If you have a PetCo near you, they can order them in if they don't show up in local stock online and that is probably your cheapest option:

https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/aqueon-versa-top-hinged-glass-aquarium-top

Otherwise, some resellers on Amazon have them, but for ridiculous prices:

For the light, I have been using the NICREW Plus and (for the tanks with no plants) Current USA Freshwater:

Tank is about 4 years old.

The substrate is this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002DH0QM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got 4 bags, which is about 2 inches thick.

I've been trying to grow plants, but haven't been having luck. Either the fish eat them or they die. I remove dead leaves & plants from the tank asap.

I also got these as someone recommended them for the plecos: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013RXJ53Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The plecos are maybe 4-6inches. They're 3ish years old.

I have these lights fixtures on the tank: https://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-Fluorescent-Deluxe-24-Inch-Actual/dp/B0002AS5BE and this bulb on the side of the tank with the plants https://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-Replacement-Floramax-Plant-Growth/dp/B004GWXDHA
