I just finished this book: Urban cyclist's zen.
It's basically a "how to" or "for dummies" book that explains the basics of the bike, from the mechanical components to your place on the lanes, and all you need to know to enjoy and survive the city on a bike.
I highly recommend it even if you are an experienced urban cyclist, it helps confirm, refresh and learn some of the ideas you've built (at least that's how it happened to me) out of pure experience.
It's also a good opportunity to practice your Spanish ;)
