As everyone else said, stretch marks. They're probably new. Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy worked wonders for me, but only when I started massaging it in consistently, day & night.

People say wear them with pride but I still don't like them. I have a few on my back near my armpits, and I hate the look of them. Ever since I noticed them, I went and got this and I haven't had any new appear since. It didn't really make mine go away, just fade a bit, but I'd recommend it.

I've got them around the front side of my shoulders right next to my armpit. I see them now as battle scars from the progress I've made. However, prevention is key to minimize their appearance. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Every day apply an emollient (cream) containing Vitamin E, collagen, and elastin on the affected areas. Check your local pharmacy for a cream indicated for stretch marks and it should carry these compounds. Such creams are usually a cocoa butter based product and indicated for pregnancy stretch marks, but the same principle applies.

Should be available at your local retail store.

Stretch marks start out very red when their new and slowly fade and lighten with time (months to years), but never truly go away. Prevent them now before they gets worse.
