Maybe consider getting something like this for parties. Personally, I just remove the foam, wring it under some warm soapy water, and air dry it before a party. Then, during the party, just wipe it down with a disinfectant wipe between uses.
Thanks for the suggestion! Was planning to become much fitter when my Rift arrives with daily exercise as well as incorporating Beat Saber (amongst other games) but never knew about BoxVR!
Have you considered purchasing disposable VR masks? I feel they'd be a necessity if doing intense workouts.
Oh yeah I know what you mean. The fan looks cool (lel), but I find that I'm the sweatiest where the sponge directly hits my face so I'm not sure how much that would solve the problem.
Someone already suggested the faux leather covers which works pretty great. Another product that's pretty good are disposable VR masks. They're not cost efficient for personal use, but it's great to have some on you if you're borrowing someone's, or if people want to try yours. It's especially a win for makeup wearers, because foundation is a drag to wipe off even from the faux leather.
Aside from that, I turn on the AC or open a window. I find that feeling a bit cold is the perfect temperature to VR with.
Have you considered using some of the paper hygienic facemasks that each user can put on (over the ears) before using the HMD?
