I've done bonds through both SFP+ and RJ45. They're both ethernet protocols, so functionality is the same.

I'm using some passive DACs I got off Amazon.

One note, the CRS3xx series are much more capable than the CRS1xx or CRS2xx series due to the switch chips used, so I'd prioritize those.
