What a nice comment. I haven't gone through some magical threshold that makes me a Master of Sobriety but since you asked my opinion, I'm honored to reply: Reddit is correct in recommending Easy Way To Stop Drinking. I read that first and glad I did.

I think the 12 Ways People Mess Up Their Recovery was fantastic for attending AA because it provides psychological arguments validating the 12 steps (Best part: drunk mice do not learn to run mazes = we do not "learn" to grow emotionally when drinking).

I'm also grateful for the LifeRing book Empowering Your Sober Self. It reduces everything to one edict: Whatever keeps you sober IS the right way. It's not too keen on AA and runs contrary to it (We DO have power over alcohol - we choose to take the first drink. We do NOT have a choice over the second) but, for me, I want a lot of arrows in my quiver. (heh, he said quiver)
