How long would "the next few generation of gpu's" be in years, roughly? I'm asking this because if it'll last a few more years longer, I'm willing to dish out on the X570, even if it is not the most efficiently priced at the moment, on the chance that PCIe 4.0 might take off within a few years. I'm actually willing to go over budget by 100 or so if it means that I don't have to worry about changing the CPU or Motherboard for the duration of this PCs life (which I'm hoping will be around 7 ish years as I said).

From what I've seen of it, the 5700XT is a pretty high end card, no? Its not a 2080ti but it'll smash most games out nowadays at 60fps+ at 1440p, at least that's from the benchmarks I've seen. Do you think it'd comfortably contend with PS5 era games that'll be out next year? I know its a big guess but realistically isn't it unlikely that PS5 era games will be matching a 2080 ti in the first place? I'm up for upgrading the GPU in 3 years or so anyway.

Dumb question, but I can turn the resolution down to 1080p on either of those monitors I linked, and the one in the OP, yeah? Cos if that's the case then the limitations of the 5700xt on 1440p won't really matter, and I'll have the monitor got and ready by the time I get a card that can fully utilize 1440p.

I need help for identifying if I'm wasting money on certain parts or if there is some stuff that isn't compatible between the monitor and the PC in terms of FPS/Hz and that kinda stuff

I'll be using my PC with a Dual Monitor Setup for, entry level CAD (Autodesk + Photoshop) , gaming, research and revising (and the occasional youtube videos)

Will my build be able to run two monitors smoothly? these are the kinda questions i don't know the answer to

For your current build? Get 1440p60, probably. IPS is unnecessary for gaming, SVA panels are nice as of late. Could also get 1080p144.

Consider MAG241C, C24G1, MAG240VC for 1080p144.

For 1440p60 it really depends. This guy is a solid pick for 1440p144 on the cheap, but if you don't think you'll hit high FPS in the games you play, you could settle for something like this.
