Man I literally repaired my dualshock 4 charging port today. So first you need to open the controller https://youtu.be/Z_dOZERWYGo (basic idea of how to open it) next you need to buy a replacement changing port. They have a model number on them and they go like this JD 010 / JD 020 / JD 030. The one I bought came in a 2 pack and it was 11 bucks. There's only 5 screws in total. It's a very easy replacement. The only thing you could mess up is buying the wrong port and it's very clearly written on the PCB. Good luck!

I’m PS4 user, but as far as cords go the Walmart PS4 cord fits nice and tight and has plenty of length to it.

Also, if your charging port is all wallowed out, replacing them cost less than $10 and is super easy. Just make sure you get the correct board for your gen of controller.

I used this one when I repaired my older controllers. They have a good part selection guide.
