They seem fine to me though you could use any generic tips or even expensive Comply ones which presumably might be better quality.

I was able to successfully replicate this mod with the tips Ekeler posted (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SN4HP5Z/)

My steps:

  1. Took the Apple tips off of the pods (I use the Medium size).
  2. Used tape and folded the silicone(?) material within the tape, and then twisted the tape to make sure the tips were as narrow as possible.
  3. I found that the small sized foam tips were the best fit for the medium Apple tips.
  4. Threaded the twisted tape into the foam tip hole. The tape would eventually slip off with some resistance.
  5. Massaged the silicon so there were no folds/creases from being squeezed through the foam tips.

    Observations:

  • Took me about 5 minutes per tip.
  • Prefer the silicon on the outside without having to replace the foam tips when they would typically get dirty.
  • The seal is great and they haven't seemed to slip out of my ears.
  • I can definitely feel the AirPods Pro in my ears, to the point where it's a little aggravating (I was never a fan of the canal style and I preferred the AirPods prime.)
  • The case is not going to close all of the way, even if you jam the tips deep into their respective holders.

    All in all, I think I will keep these foam tips on until a third-party comes out with an optimal solution.

    Update 2019-11-26:

    I removed the red, inner rubber of the foam tips and it improved the fit while reducing some pain I was having. This removal also vastly improved the case fit - I can now click the case!

Just ordered these off of amazon and they’re a near perfect fit

Only issue is that since they’re a bit bulkier cuz of memory foam. The earbuds don’t completely sit inside the charging case. But they only stick out a tiny tiny sliver. The charging connectors still attach perfectly fine. And the lid closes nearly perfectly fine. Just needs an extra little nudge.

Easily sacrificial for me, because the eartips they came with were extremely uncomfortable or did not fit at all.
