You might want to consider getting a planner or a day of coordinator, if you have the budget for it (usually day of coordinator is enough, but you might need more help, depending on your situation).
OK - PLEASE buy yourself a copy of, "A practical wedding" and follow her directions. She gives such a down to earth perspective on planning the wedding that is right for you and your fiance rather than catering to the pressures of the wedding industry. I HIGHLY recommend it.
