You're going to want a laptop with at least an i5 processor (quad-core, 1.8GHz+) and a NVidia 540m+ (or equivalent) graphics card. A lot of gamers that I've talked to are happy with their Acer or Asus laptops, but you can always browse and see what's out there. A big screen is nice, I'd recommend a minimum of 15.6" (I use a 17.3"). Asus has some pretty sweet gaming laptops but you'd have to decide if they're in your price range.

I use this laptop (on sale for $650 when I bought it), and other than tweaking the NVidia Optimus settings to run TF2 on the discreet graphics card rather than the integrated card I've had no problems with it. It runs 140+ FPS constantly.
