no they're soft and flexible like ballet flats, though they do have a thin rubber sole (hence why they are a bit more durable), so it's not different pointing your toes in them than ballet flats. I can't find the ones I have anymore, but I guess they'd be something similar to this, with a thinner sole and 'floppier' top bits:

They don't look as nice or 'dancey' though, probably (too sporty looking), but I like how they fit better (like ballet flats feels a bit like wearing socks, but this feels like more like a sock shoe). But yeah, it's not like I dislike heels, but I don't think it'll be good for my feet in the long run to exercise in them every week so it's nice to have a balance of the two.

However, what I run into issues is when doing butterfly because the heel portion sometimes would come off.
