I've never tried these, nor known anyone who has, but I've often thought about trying out a pair of bone conducting headphones like these: https://www.amazon.com/AfterShokz-Open-Ear-Wireless-Conduction-Headphones/dp/B07RRQ59JR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=114AYL422F52M&keywords=bone+conduction+headphones&qid=1566925947&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&rnid=2661617011&s=gateway&sprefix=bone+conduction%2Caps%2C158&sr=8-3
My Index has made me never want to use normal headphones ever again, I'm old and tired of my ears hurting lol.
Just can't get over that they thought the person who was deaf was the translator for the person who was not.
On a side note the last time something like this came up; if you are interested in headphones, try looking at these. Bone Conducting Headphones. Might work for you as you hear them through your cheek bone.
