I listen to podcasts on my rides. I use these bone-conducting headphones: https://www.amazon.com/AfterShokz-Wireless-Conduction-Headphones-AS650SG/dp/B075FMK7SD
Your ear canals are open so you can still hear everything around you. Give them a try.
I've started using the Trekz Air bone conduction headphones and really like that I can hear traffic around me in the city. But I feel like my head gets sweaty and they slide down super often, and feel like they're just barely hanging on and a 45 degree angle downwards.
Any use these and have tips for keeping them upright and parallel to the ground while running? There is about a centimeter gap between the back bar and my head.
Excellent point--and here's a partial solution. The sound is conducted through your cheekbones, so nothing blocks the ears.
On that topic, I'd love to see a hearable product (like Bragi's Dash Pro) that molds to your ear canal and incorporates active hearing protection. shutupandtakemymoney.gif
That having been said, situational awareness isn't taught or practiced nearly enough. It's at least as important as range time, especially since in the vast majority of instances it can help you avoid a kill-or-be-killed situation in the first place.

I get a good 8 hours plus listening at a little over half volume. They're also really light and stay on really well.
I rock the AfterShokz Air Open Ear Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones and keep it at a low volume when in a roadway.
