Thank you so much for all your help you have been very patient with me despite my constant ignorance. You are very good at explaining these things so if you don't mind giving me some advice.
I have around $400 I can spend right now. I have a decent GPU and I was thinking of getting the Antminer S1 (Amazon Price: $269) which has a hashrate of 180 GH/s. Using many calculators I estimated my ROI to be in 3 months as power consumption is negligible and I already have a PSU. Do you think that this is a good investment?
I'm not getting the stuff now and I'll still need to wait to October for a friend to get me the stuff from the US so this is not happening now or with these specific items. But theoretically, with all that I laid out to you: If I could start mining tomorrow and the Bitcoin or difficulty doesn't change dramatically will this really work out?
Again I deeply respect your patience and thank you so much for all your help.
not sure about the power supply. And easiest way to buy one is through amazon, but you're going to pay aftermarket surcharges.

You can go check out the group buys in the bitcoin talk forums, but I don't know if they'll take cash. Probably have to check them out individually.

I bought 15Gh at about 0.11 BTC, will see how the 12 hour deposit verification goes, and will keep you updated :)
Edit: 3 days later, deposit went smooth, and have been in communication with them daily as they are actually sold out of Gh and I plan on buying more. First cash out will be this sunday. Will update again.
Also, if you look through their eBay history, they have been selling mining equipment since 2012, then all of a sudden, changed their approach and started selling mining contracts on eBay in January of this year. They are new to cloud mining, yes, but I think they will be here for a while. Also, check this out on Amazon. It costs $700 roughly, and is 180GH (on the low standard end, without overclock) 180 0.0075 = 1.35 BTC $570 (low rate right now) = $769.50
I bet they are getting the machines much cheaper than that on some place like aliexpress, but still, $69.50 profit per machine right away and I'm sure he will be keeping a small percentage of all mining, which at this rate will be some good residual income on 5 year contracts.
This is no scam.
my 280x mines at about 740kh/s which is definitely higher than average. with the most profitable coin, i was averaging about $7/day 2 weeks ago. today it's down to about $3/day. litecoin itself right now is at $2.58/day (not counting electricity)... if this trend continues, my power cost will outweigh the mining profit in a matter of 3 or 4 weeks. would i drop 4-8k if i knew i would pay a rig off at $3/day? hell no.
you're better off investing $929 in a bitcoin miner which right now will earn you $14/day
edit: removed referral link from amazon
