Look, people act like you're going to hold the phone under the water for 15 minutes at a time with super high water pressure. That's not going to happen.

I've been using my S5 in the shower for 2 years now, and I haven't once had a single issue. I have a mount (two large 3M hooks a few inches away from each other) below the shower head, so the phone is never in direct contact with the water. Very rarely do I get any soapy water splash back, and the few drops that may get on it are completely harmless.

For the record, I watch podcasts while getting ready in the morning. No, it is not necessary. But I do enjoy it, and it helps me wake up. Plus, I get to keep up with my video podcasts (something I only get to hear in the car, and don't really listen to while at work).

In addition to the phone, I have this shower bluetooth speaker: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O15BQC6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

It sounds great and has incredible battery life.
