You can try shampoo with argan oil extracts (this one) and also use a conditioner after you have rinsed out the shampoo. Its really important to use a conditioner because a shampoo tends to strip away the natural oils in your hair so a conditioner helps to counter that. Generally, it is said that you should shampoo and condition and shampoo about 3 times a week. But personally, I feel that it really depends on an individual's lifestyle and the city's climate. So you can work around and see what fits you best. As for pomades, they work well for slicked back sideparts, so feel free to experiment :)
I wash with Maple Holistics Argan Conditioner. Haven’t touched shampoo in years. I flip upside down to rinse, and use a small amount more conditioner and squish, putting it in an Aquis turban when I’m done. I take it out of the turban 30 min later while still damp, and run Garnier Curl Shape gel over it, trying not to disrupt the curls too much. I typically let it dry a bit more while down, and then often tie it up in a bun while at work. It looks really great and voluminous in the 30 minutes after taking the bun down, then falls flat again. No matter what, it’s always flat at the crown. WHY???

Any sulfate free shampoo should help with dandruff though.
