Promotion Type: Feedback

Promoter: Friðlaugur Jónsson, Artist/Programmer

Platform: iOS, Android

Game Genre: Casual/Puzzle/Arcade

About the Game:

There are four snooker/billards balls and the entire screen is the game table. The objective is to shoot the white ball and hit the other three in the correct color order (Red > Green > Blue). Balls colliding and wall bumbing gives score and bonuses are given for:

  • a) Completing the level in the first shot.

  • b) Completing a level that another player gave up on (marked as impossible).

The last bit works like this: if you have tried completing a level a few times without succeeding, a white flag presents itself in the upper right corner. You tap the flag and are offered to skip that level. That level is then stored for other players to try out and as mentioned before, they get a bonus (+50% score) if they can beat it.

My goal was to create an interesting casual game without a menu (inspired by Desert Golfing). A game that you could pick up anywhere and play for as little as a few seconds (single shot) or up to as long as you feel like. The feedback I have received thus far tells me that people who get the hang of it really enjoy it. My main concern is that it fails in teaching how to properly play it. For example some people try flinging the ball instead of drag-releasing it and some people don't recognize the skip-to-next button and get a little frustrated that they have to wait for the next level.

The game is a paid app (big threshold) but any feedback would really be appreciated (i.e. on description, video, screenshots etc.).

    Thank you for your time.
