This is a build using up the budget. There is no need to go exactly with that, I'll use it to explain my choices and answer your questions

> I'm thinking about a Skylake CPU (not quiet sure if i5 is enough or i7 is better)

To pick skylake is in no way wrong, even if the build ends up a little bit more expensive than a haswell-build would. A i7 would give more performance in some games, Fallout 4 for example would profit. I did not pick the i7-6700 here in favor of a better gpu, and picked the i6-6500 as the 6600 is too expensive currently for the small upgrade it provides.

> a H170-mainboard

Went with that, note that you also could pick a B150 mainboard and save 20€, leaving USB-C and some other slots behind.

> the graphics card I'm undecided between a GTX970 and 980

I picked a Fury instead of the GTX 980.

GTX 970 would be a fine choice for 1080p, but neither will it hold out 3-5 years nor is it a good pick for 4K. And not good for 4K holds true in some regards as well for the GTX 980: AMDs cards currently scale better for higher resolutions than Nvidias does.

R9 390(X) would be the other alternative to the Nvidia cards, if the Fury seems too expensive to you. It will hold a while, longer than the GTX 970, and a gpu upgrade in the future is easy enough to do. Price-performance best pick would be the R9 390, see http://www.computerbase.de/thema/grafikkarte/rangliste/.

Question is whether your 4K screen supports Display Port?

> I'm thinking about a 250gb SSD, but have no idea which one I should get, what are your recomendations?

Sandisk Ultra II, Samsung 850 Evo are the top picks. Crucial BX 100 for a budget choice, but the Samsung is not too expensive currently.

> I want 16gb of RAM (DDR4 cause of the H170-mainboard) but have no clue what brand is good. I

Brand does not matter with ram, only timing and clocks. The one I picked would be fine.

> Standard tower size, no fancy lightning etc.

The R5 is a very good case without fancy lightning, but a lot of modern features making building in it easier. Of course there are cheaper options that would work as well. Though I was not sure whether you were re-using yours or not?

Looks like a great build, with that bit of extra cash, you could get an i5 6500 (better clock speeds). I think an ATX motherboard would look better in your case, I would go for the MSI B150 PC Mate or the AsRock H170 PRO 4S. To squeeze an SSD in there, you could save a bit of money with the MasterBox 5 or the S340 and pick up the PNY CS1311 120GB SSD along with your HDD. Also, you could possibly get an RX 480 like this to save money on non-SLI motherboards and FreeSync monitors instead of a GSync one. Sorry if this was overwhelming, but I hope this helps.
