If I'm ever feeling depressed (which is often)I try to distract myself with something I enjoy spending my time on. Whether it's talking to friends or reading a good book, if you try to occupy your time with something you enjoy doing then it can help that feeling of sadness. You could try taking up a new hobby, you could even do something like taking a walk around your neighborhood or down the road. Something as simple as a new song could be all it takes to brighten your mood.

There are also multiple websites that have payed to be at the top of Google that would love to help you out. Websites such as Seven Cups of Tea offer online counseling services to people who want someone to talk to.
