You will basically end up with these. The 32in BenQ will work for what you listed. The 32in Asus is $226 more, but is top quality professional. If you want to splurge there is the Acer Predator. If you want a great 27in for the price, then there is the View Sonic.

I would go with 32in because why even go 4k if you aren't using 32in. The Acer and Asus are overkill (predator is for gaming/Asus professional photo editing). So that leaves you with the BenQ, which is perfect for what you want a 4k monitor for.

Sodoge wow 4k such pixel much money.

A true workstation for all your CAD needs. Comes with i9 9900k and NVIDIA RTX 4000. Cooled by Noctua NH-D15, possibly the best cooler in existence. Uses an Asus 4k color accurate monitor for detail. Uses a lowkey Mid tower case. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Before I go any further, I would just like to thank you for helping me. I'm extremely new to the PC world, and I just want my system to run smoothly with 0 hiccups. I have some more trouble shooting for you. So I had to send my 4k monitor back for some blemishes, and this actually helped with getting closer to solving this thing. After sending the monitor off, I switched back to the old outlet to see if that was the issue, and the message stopped showing up. While my monitor was gone, I had the PC plugged into my old 32" 720p monitor, so I could at least use the damn thing, with an hdmi cable. I had 0 issues the entire time. When I got my 4k monitor back today, I plugged my ASUS GTX 1080 Strix graphics card into the monitor with the display port, and I got the message immediately. So I tried plugging the HDMI cord into the monitor from the graphics card, and the message disappeared.

Do you think this is just a problem with the graphics cards display port? Or possibly even the cable? I don't have another display port cable, but I would rather not buy another just to find out that it's the graphics card. Also, I tried both display ports and they both presented the message.

Yeah, and don't buy that monitor. Wait for Asus's 4k monitor @144hz in Q3

Otherwise you can get the same monitor 27-29" for $400 ish... $1300.. lol...

Or if you NEED a 32" at least get one that's not $1300...

I wouldn't say waste. Just not ideal. If you want a 4k ips monitor I would go with this.
