I could be wrong but I think it's This Mic. It's Albert's mic and he's very protective of it.
it is too expensive in this site , its much cheaper here https://www.amazon.com/Avantone-Pro-Large-diaphragm-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001U7ANU4
xD
Looking to do an upgrade. I have some ideas, but would love some input/help.
What I have now:
digi 002r, at4040, maudio bx8, roland fantom s, treated room, other assorted cheaper mics, a few ibanez guitars and bass, a fender acoustic, mpc 2000xl, etc
The upgrades:
interface:
I'd like 4 mic inputs, and one or two line inputs. minimum 96/24bit, 192/24 if possible. monitor mute and phantom power selection on the mic/line inputs would be nice. usb, firewire, or thunderbolt, no preference. must work with pc and pro tools.
I'm thinking: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y83UT4C/
Mic:
something fairly neutral or slightly bright. upper mid range.
I'm thinking: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001U7ANU4/
monitors:
something more accurate than what I have now that wont break the bank.
I'm thinking: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003552MF8 but would like a somewhat less expensive option.
I think the AT2020 is an extremely solid beginners choice. It is a lil brighter than most mics but it has excellent quality and is really great for practical recording. If/when you get super serious about home recording this is the mic I would proly go for.
