I used to have the same issue and was unable to resolve it -- I trashed a bunch of very nice (non-Outlier) merino shirts. Afterwards, I decided to test a bunch of deodorants online (10, to be precise) over the course of a few months until I found one that 1) did not stain, 2) did not cause any itching, and 3) eliminated all musk.
