Fortunately repairing the LB/RB part on a XB1 controller is one of the easiest repairs that you could do on your own. All you need is the right Torx Security screwdriver (#8) and the part. That link is just an example of what you need, it's not my personal recommendation. I've had to fix this issue with my own Elite controller a few months back. Honestly the hardest part of the whole repair is getting the handgrips off without scratching up the plastic.
My LB broke last month. I replaced it with [THIS ONE] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N03G2I3/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from Amazon. Has worked like a charm since. I already had the security screwdrivers, so that's something you'll need also.
If you have a Microsoft store near you, stop in and see if they will fix or replace it. It's a known design flaw. They wouldn't touch mine because I voided the warranty by putting a low glare center button I got from Modsticks.com
