I'm also in the DC area and have numerous friends running them. They all seem to have this model. The quality is surprisingly good, both in terms of video and audio.
Blackvue DR650GW 2-Channel - $400 though (pricey)
Blackvue DR550GW 2-Channel - $300 (still pricey)
Both those are two most recommended 2-channel systems right now that have the most positive feedback.
There is a more budget 2-channel called the BlackSys CF-100 - going for $90 right now.
Also, check out Dashcamtalk. They have a lot of info that you can read up on. Included the pros and cons to all 3 systems I linked. Lot's of great info there and in their forums.

Amazing resolution, works at night, holds up to 128GB SD card, video doesn't vibrate over bumps, and the CMOS sensor is outstanding.
