Listened on my way to work. Here’s my critique.

Content: Great. Loved the interview with the ATLUTD Color Commentator.

Quality: Shaky. I spent a lot of time adjusting my volume to compensate for the fluctuations. I’m a big fan of “two dudes talking” podcasts. I’ve seen good reviews for this mic. I would recommend you each record your parts separately and mix them together in post. I think this will dramatically improve the quality (that, and mic discipline).

Music: Meh. I know it might be tough, but as the “fan” podcast, see if you can audio of the game day experience for the intro music - cheers and chants. Have some commentary of the recent games peppered in (like Men in Blazers do video clips), maybe. Get Dave Johnson’s “it’s in the net!” sprinkled in somewhere. For the intermission cuts, get a pairing of music sampled... one going down on the way to intermission - and another coming up from intermission. This will be good, Incase you guys have ads in the future. Mike Rowe’s podcast does this very well (they’re only like ten minutes, so it should be an easy listen... RadioLab is a blogger good example).

Overall: keep them coming! I’m really enjoying the back and forth and differing perspectives on emerging topics.

Hello! Mod here.

If price is a big factor, the Blue Snowball setup is top quality and under $100 flat. I have first-hand experience using this setup and I highly recommend it.
The Blue Yeti setup is a little better, but costs about $40 more if you can swing that.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to post them here or send us mod mail, we do our best to reply as soon as possible and have a great mod team.

Have a good one, and happy Recordings!
