Warning: Foul Language Ahead!

Yes. This was Fall of last year, and I don't recall exactly what the issue was, but I think the gist of it was that images and text I tried to use on our listing weren't propagating live. There were/are other sellers selling knockoffs I think that had made some changes to the listing (I really don't understand how it works, but I guess a 'product' is very difficult to actually 'own' even if you FUCKING OWN IT) which were really poor, but those were the features and images showing up on the actual live public listing.

Again, nightmare. Cannot believe how difficult it was to get NOTHING done. Every agent clearly just wanted the ticket to be done with.

I actually researched how to do this beforehand, and advice I got here on reddit boiled down to "put it in terms that will benefit amazon as well, if you can."

So initially I was really polite and nice and said, and part of my request was pointing out how an improved listing for this product would result in more sales, which would be good for both (client) and Amazon. It was only (weeks! of runaround) later that I let some of my impatience show and requested supervisors / etc.

Some of the problems with their system:

  • If you own a product, like trademark and all, you pay to have it manufactured or make it yourself, you can't just create a really nice listing like the big corporate products. http://www.amazon.com/Bose-Wave%C2%AE-Music-System-III/dp/B007ZC99Q2 Scroll down to the huge information section lower down the page. You can't !@#$!@#$@!#$ DO THAT YOURSELF.

  • Seller Support agents can't open zip files. If you attach a zip file with 9 of your awesome product shots that follow their guidelines (at least one dimension greater than 1000 pixels, right? I forget.) they can't do shit with it.

  • You host said zip file, and the individual images somewhere, still can't do it. Or won't. I wasn't clear. DIDN'T is accurate though. Fuckers.

  • You can't attach more than (stupidly small) number of files. Four? Six? It's not enough.

  • You can't include your own html in the edit-it-yourself area, so you have to ask seller support. LOL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT SHIT. They will ignore formatting forty-leven times until you finally give up in disgust with a broken listing, which is what they want in the first place. Not the broken listing part, but for you to stop bothering them.

Nightmare. Hands down the absolute worst customer service experience of my entire life.
