I've had a jar of Nostalgic Clay I decided to try out again recently, thinking maybe over time my opinion may have changed.
Despite being very popular around here, I really do not like Nostalgic clay at all. For me, I put a little tiny bit in and it doesn't have enough hold. I put in a little bit more, and my hair is greasy looking. Not the natural matte finish I want from a clay. (I actually finished off with Quicksand to improve the appearance and make it look more natural)
That said, I recently picked up some Byrd Matte Clay Pomade and I've really been liking it. I kind of think its like Claymation had a baby with Nostalgic. Because its very soft, waxy, easy to apply like Claymation. But in my hair I think it looks more like nostalgic, but its more forgiving than nostalgic before it looks too greasy in my hair.
