I just bought a cable with mini do on one end and regular do on the other. Like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7RL33M/ that
those are two mini display ports there:

You should be able to use a thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable.
Like this one or I guess this one if you want to make sure it has to be thunderbolt.
I thought mini-displayport was the same as thunderbolt as long as it was 1.2 but not entirely sure.
